This home was perfect for what we needed for a few days. Comfortable setting and plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The downstairs area is great! There is a conservation field next door which provided for tortoise, iguana, and bird sightings. We love Palm Island and will definitely be back!

The wide open space is so nice and the lanai is extra big. You can rent a golf cart and ride to the beach easily. The downstairs hangout area is perfect for kids and adults.

We enjoyed our time at Tia Maria's. Watch your step though by the picnic table had a couple missteps in that area.

Our stay at Maria's house was just wonderful. It has plenty of space to stretch out and it really began to feel like home. We wish we would have booked for a longer stay. The house is equipped with everything you need for enjoying a day at the beach and for cooking family sized dinners. There was even a rice maker! The outdoor shower was nice for rinsing off after being at the beach and the outdoor bar area has plenty of prep space if you want to grill outdoors. The screened in porch was nice to sit in to have coffee and conversations. We really enjoyed the home and plan to go back again. Maria was a gracious host and quickly answered any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay on the island. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes but we were easily able to rent a golf cart from the resort. Just make sure to get there by 5:30. If you don't want to pay the ferry fee more than once, be sure to stop at the grocery store before you head over. There is ample fridge and freezer space. Don't forget sunscreen, bug spray, and toilet paper!

The house is okay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and no one really felt rested. The pull out couch was filthy and had dead bugs in it, so I had guests who opted to use the couch as is. A very old looking stain was discovered on one of the cushions after we must have put the cushions back upside down when trying the pull out couch, which we were charged 200 for by the host even though it was not caused by my guests. The laundry room door fell off its Hinges as soon as we arrived and tried to open it which means it was not properly ancored as it almost fell on one of my guests. We were also charged for this, so maybe it will be fixed if you're lucky. The downstairs shower leaks water dripping from mold from what I believe to be the AC unit dripping, it was disgusting and unusable and probably a health hazard. Our host was unable to be contacted because she was on vacation, so we were given someone else's number to contact which felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I have stayed at this island many of times and have never come across these issues, let alone being charged for leaving the place 'filthy' per the hosts words, so make sure to scrub from top to bottom because I didn't recieve any clear and obvious cleaning instructions as I have when staying at many other houses on the Palm Island, with no issue. It's a house, there are better ones on the island, try next door or a few houses down.

Wonderful stay on a beautiful island!!

Wonderful beach house, clean, beautifully decorated and everything you need. Great location and an island that is so quiet you wonder where everyone is! Spent most beach days at the beach access next to the Palm Island Resort entrance. Found wonderful shells, great sharks teeth and a sunburn!!! Had most meals on the 2nd floor screened in porch and did go to Rum Bay Restaurant ( at the Palm Island Resort) a couple times. Plan your meals and get your food before you arrive as a $55 ferry ride is expensive if you forget your sugar for your coffee!! Loved it!

The house was very comfortable. Was clean, and supported all our needs. Beautiful beaches. The screened in porch was big plus😊.

This house and island is almost like a dream! It was beautiful, peaceful, and absolutely perfect in every way! The house was clean, well priced and offered everything you need plus much more! The downstairs deck made for fun evenings after being on the beach all day! The island is amazing! My children love hunting shells and they felt like they hit the Jack pot. We loved the wild life and quiet setting and the white sands and turquoise blue waters topped this trip off! I completely 100% recommend visiting this property and island! Maria was so helpful and sent me addresses and all info needed to make check-in and travel a piece of cake! I recommend buying your groceries before coming over on the ferry since it is $55 for a round trip with a vehicle. I also recommend renting a golf cart. It just makes travel around the island fun.. it isn’t a must but it made it easier and the kids loved driving around looking at the island. We plan on making another trip here and renting this property as soon as possible!

This place is exactly as advertised; and a great deal! Maria is a wonderful host, and was very welcoming. Highlights are breakfast on the screened lanai. Also, adjacent is a conservation space with native plants and flowers.

First, I have to say that this house was extremely clean (to me, this is very important to really be able to relax in a vacation spot and this house was spotless!). Nice set up outside with quaint hang out areas. They also offer every amenity you might need to spend the day on the water-chairs, beach umbrella, kayaks…it was so easy to just grab it and head out. Rooms came with nice televisions and fire sticks to relax at night. Truly enjoyed our time at the home.

What an amazing week at Tia Maria’s Sand castle! The weather was amazing, sunshine and warmth all week. Having the island only accessible by Ferry strongly supported the “getting away” mentality we were searching for and wanting. The house had just about everything we wanted, the beds were comfortable, the beach was AMAZING, and the owners were quick and responsive. Loved having the laundry available. And the plethora of outdoor living spaces was amazing. Morning coffee in the screened sun porch, afternoon beverages by the tiki bar. An amazing week, and I’m quite certain we will be back. If you are wanting to be in the hustle and bustle of tourist Florida, this island is probably not for you. If you are wanting to get away, enjoy the beach and time with loved ones, surrounded by the rustic beauty that Florida can offer? You can’t go wrong with this home. 💜

We enjoyed Thanksgiving on the Island with family and friends. The house couldn’t have been better!

Great little outdoor tiki bar and entertaining space under the covered deck area. The three bedrooms were spacious and the screened in porch offers a wonderful area to relax and enjoy the weather. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed our time at Tia Maria’s Sand Castle 🙂.

Nice vacation home with all the important things you need for a good vacation in FL like screened in porch, not too far from the beach, parking right under the house, an outside bar, grill, beach accessories and two rocking chairs on the porch. Very friendly and helpful owners and a well appointed kitchen. I love the fact that there really is nothing on the island, no shops, not even a convenience store, only one restaurant, It is like vacation in FL used to be 40 years ago, but with Air Conditioning!

A beautiful, quality home, with very cute and interesting features throughout. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay. It was an absolutely delightful event for us!

Positive! Took a golf cart to the beach every morning. Came back for lunch just before the storms hit, and enjoyed listening to the storms on the back porch. This time of year bug spray and Citronella candles are a must if you're going to try and enjoy the downstairs amenities.

This place and the owner are great!!! Spacious, CLEAN, and great outdoor area! The home comes with plenty of cookware/dishes, small kitchen appliances, towels, blankets, boardgames, beach chairs, sand toys, etc! All you have to bring is your food, and personal items! The owner is excellent with communicating and responding back. The beach is just a quick golf cart ride away. The beach was beautiful, with calm waters and filled with shells and shark teeth. We definitely will be staying here again; can't say enough how great this place was and how awesome of a vacation we had!

We had a great stay. Next time we will be on the water. We enjoy fishing too much and spent so much time away from the house.

We stayed at the house for Easter weekend and loved it! The house was pristine and very comfortable. It had beach chairs and towels and the owner was super responsive. She helped direct us to a company to use for a golf cart for the weekend. The island was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. Would highly recommend! If you’re looking for a place to completely unwind- this is it!
