Beobachten Sie die Seevögel, Pelikane und Delfine. Wir haben sogar Meeresschildkröten und Otter von den Docks aus gesehen.

A few friends and I spent memorial weekend here and it was a weekend to remember. The location is great, James is 100% a great host and the view is beyond gorgeous. Watching the sunset in the evening and drinking coffee on the deck in the mornings watching the boats go by was my favorite! Thanks so much for the stay & we hope to be back!

We truly loved this vacation home and hope to come back again. It was perfect for our family and our furbaby. The view could not be beat and the hosts met us at the property to make sure we were able to get in ok. We loved being one block over from the ocean but enjoyed being right on the sound. We didn't take advantage of the kayaks or swimming in the water by the docks but we did love the deck and the pier. The front porch was also quite pleasant even with the heat as there seems to always be a nice breeze blowing. Carolina Beach is our go-to vacation place! One of the really great things is that the home has a real coffee pot!!! This is truly a plus that many vacation homes have eliminated in this day of "keurig"! We would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting a lovely family getaway!

We loved the location and the property!!!! The back deck was so pleasant in the mornings. We would watch the boats coming in and going out and a soft breeze was always present. The late afternoon and early dusk was just as pleasurable. We were 1 1/2 blocks from the beach which was an easy walk. We were close to Publix and restaurants. ( Although some were closed the first of the week, few took reservations and there were long waits due to staff shortages)The place was very clean which we appreciated. The kitchen was stocked with needed cooking items and dishes. We grilled fresh fish from a nearby local fish market on the propane grill on the deck. The grill was pretty dirty (the welcome letter asked that everyone clean the grill after use. That had not happened) We used aluminum foil as we were not inclined to take on the task of heavy cleaning. It was easy to check-in and James was very responsive if needed. We loved out time at the house and hope to return again!!!!

The location cannot be beat. We brought our boat and it was so easy to get in and out. It was perfect for entertaining guests on the big deck and the living room has great water views when the weather is bad. Very light and airy. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms had been updated. The kitchen needs a little work, the cabinets and drawers are a bit difficult and if you are a cook make sure to bring your own knives/pots/pans because they were in short supply. We had a wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave!

This place was a perfect setting for our “girls week”. Being able to sit outside on the sound was peaceful and great for sunsets. We were there for hurricane Isaias and decided to ride it out. We moved the cars to higher ground and all fared well. The house shook rattled and rolled but stood its ground. An experience we will never forget!
The beach is a short walk and of course beautiful. A fun time was had by all!

This property was as advertised. It was a short walk to the ocean. We also enjoyed the view of the boats on the canal. And the sunsets were spectacular. It was super clean with lots of light, space and convenience for a nice vacation. There were six adults in our party but we did not feel cramped at all. We will definitely be back!

Great memory maker with family!
Our family loved our stay in this house! It is a very short easy walk to the beach (1 block). We especially loved the back deck and dock area. The bar top was a great addition to the deck where we enjoyed breakfast and watching beautiful sunsets. We had a fantastic time!

The property is in an excellent location with beautiful sunsets over the back deck and dock overlooking the inner bay, short walk to the oceanfront, and close enough to everything to be convenient but far enough away for peace and quiet. Thumbs up!

The house was as described. Great location. Close enough to the action but quiet enough to relax. Beach was good. Views of canal were good. Master bath remodel was done well. We enjoyed our stay. Needs minor repairs for easier operation and latching on a couple of doors and comfier couches in family room,but overall we were totally happy with our time on the canal. We would stay again without a thought

This is our second time staying here, and we really like the house and location. We recommend replacing the oven because the door glass was cracked and we weren’t sure it was safe to use. Also, the inside of the dryer is very rusty so we did not use it either. Even so, we enjoyed our stay. This is a great house!

Best of Both Worls
Great location to beach and the bay for boating! Sunsets were great and so was the weather. We ate at the recommended restaurants and they were as advertised - very good. Easily rent there again in the future.

As the title implies the location is perfect...right on the sound where you can walk out and fish, crab, or just relax while watching sailboats tie up at the mooring field about 200 yards from your dock. A three minute walk gets you to the ocean. The location is far enough from the hustle of the many restaurants and town, yet close to all of the great attractions available (Carolina Aquarium). Beautiful scenes from both the sound and the ocean. As you can see, the living room scenery is great morning, evening and night. Highly recommended.

As the title implies the location is perfect...right on the sound where you can walk out and fish, crab, or just relax while watching sailboats tie up at the mooring field about 200 yards from your dock. A three minute walk gets you to the ocean. The location is far enough from the hustle of the many restaurants and town, yet close to all of the great attractions available (Carolina Aquarium). Beautiful scenes from both the sound and the ocean. As you can see, the living room scenery is great morning, evening and night. Highly recommended.

Glorious and relaxing weekend
We rented this house for my daughter's 13th birthday. She wanted to have a couple of friends over and play in the canal. It was Labor Day weekend and it was a fabulous house and stay. The bedding is the master is like a luxury hotel and my husband and I slept like babies (which rarely happens when you are in a rental bed). The back porch and lower dock are just magical. It is quiet and relaxing and we didn't want to leave. I have no complaints and we are looking forward to renting the same house for my husband's birthday this year. I can't say enough about how tranquil this home is. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your home, we loved everything about it.

FILTHY
This was absolutely the nastiest place I have ever seen both inside and out let alone paid to rent. The black mold, filthy kitchen, baths, LR, Bedrooms. We all four were disgusted! I took pictures if you care to see what you are representing. Including filthy walls, floors, ceilings, air return, smelly bedding, dishwasher. Would like to request a total refund since I have pictures to prove!

Beautiful location
We booked Jim's place twice. It is really a great location between the Intracoastal Waterway and the beach. Dealing with Jim was a pleasure, too. He is responsive, friendly and correct with his guests. The house is charming. It's a bit older and could use upgrade but at the price we paid it was a good value! 5 Stars!

Wonderful!
Perfect spot for a family vacation. The water right off the back is peaceful and great for kayaking and fishing. And then you're only a block from the ocean. Really, it's all you could ask for.
