This was our third vacation rental in Tahoe City, and definitely the cleanest and best-equipped. We prepared most of our meals, and the kitchen offered everything we needed, including a water bowl for the dogs. There were basics like oils & spices, which is not a given in a rental.Although there's no clear view of the lake (we knew that) the flip side is that the house is well shaded, so in hot weather, if you are strategic about opening windows and closing shades, the house can stay comfortable (it was nearly 90 a few days). The bedrooms are downstairs and are cooler than the main living area.Parking was ample. The wifi was a bit weak, but I believe that's true everywhere in the area. The fenced back yard was a great bonus if you have a dog that likes to chase a ball.Negative: The property behind the house has a floodlight on their property; if you're a light-sensitive sleeper, you'll want to draw the shades, which means you restrict fresh air when it's warm out.I'll conclude by emphasizing the cleanliness of this home, the quality construction and outfitting, and the ample natural lighting in the main living area. The game loft is kinda cool as well.

We had a great time. The kids loved the backyard They were able to play in the snow without me having to go down to the yard. I watched from the deck. I was surprised there is no way to get in the back yard except from the gate out front. I’m guessing because of possible bears…

We had a blast with our dogs in the snow. I love the location of this house. There are amazing trails just a short walk down the road. I will absolutely book this place again. So worth it. Especially with the fenced in yard. So nice to be able to let our dogs romp and play back there. The only thing to note is that there is no entrance to backyard from house. You have to go out front door and walk around to the back. We had to clear a better path to the back gate, then shovel out the gate so we could enter the backyard. We visited when there was a lot of snow and even more dropped while we were there. It was magical. Loved it!

The house was perfect for our family. We had two kids and two adults. The only issue we ran into was dirty house carpets…other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect house for our week stay in Tahoe. Love having morning coffee on the porch amongst the trees. Gorgeous lake views just up the hill. Our family and pup love this home!

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and clean. Feels very inviting and homey with plenty of room. We loved the short walk up the hill to see the view of the lake. Very quiet neighborhood. My kids loved the bunk beds. My only complaint is about 3 hours after we checked out, the management company called me wanting to know why I put the comforter in the washing machine to wash and it ended up with a rip in it. The problem is that I never even took the comforter off of the bed. Obviously the cleaning crew tried to blame me for their mistake. I didn’t appreciate being blamed for something I did not do. Other than that, the house and our stay was amazing!

My wife, dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and clean. The location was perfect: it was a short walk to everything we needed, including trails that led to the Tahoe Rim Trail. The backyard was perfect for our dog. We received over 2 feet of snow in one night and the snow removal service of the neighborhood was on top of things. The property manager was quick and courteous to all our inquiries. No complaints and we would happily recommend this location and the property manager to anyone.

My wife, dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and clean. The location was perfect: it was a short walk to everything we needed, including trails that led to the Tahoe Rim Trail. The backyard was perfect for our dog. We received over 2 feet of snow in one night and the snow removal service of the neighborhood was on top of things. The property manager was quick and courteous to all our inquiries. No complaints and we would happily recommend this location and the property manager to anyone.

We loved this house. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked (but there was no salt), the TV had many channels, we would have loved to have the fireplace work (but it wouldn’t turn on), the house was close to town, Granlibakken resort, and Sunnyside restaurant, Homewood was also not too far. The house also had sleds in the garage for the kids to use and it was nice to be able to park our cars in the garage.
We’ll definitely stay here again, but hopefully next time the fireplace will work and the kitchen will have salt.

We loved this house. My wife and I rented this place for an MLK weekend ski trip with our two teens (plus a friend) and my mother and her partner. The place was just right - very clean, good bedroom/bathroom layout, plenty of space (and light) in the very nice living room, and a very useable and comfortable kitchen. We've rented a lot of weekend places in Truckee/Tahoe City area, and I would definitely put this one near the top - not a boffo luxury place and no one thing was spectacular, but everything was very nice and comfortable and there were no major issues. Particularly for a house that allows dogs (yeah!), I would rank this place very high, and I tend to be fussy and picky (e.g., I get annoyed by too many tchotchkes in a place). I should also add that the location is good - 15 minutes to Alpine on 89 and also close to the backroad to the Sherwood lift.

We booked our stay about a month ago, hoping for snow during the Thanksgiving break. We didn't get our snow, but we did have a very relaxing getaway in this beautiful cabin in the woods. 5-stars, will definitely book again in the future!

We stayed here Oct 2020, and loved the cabin. So we came back to Tahoe in Oct 2021 and stayed here again. It snowed the 2nd day and the local area lost the internet for most of the day, but we found their Tivo (remember that thing) with shows recorded on their Tivo hard drive.

This house is very nice. The main level is open and has plenty of seating. The kitchen has the necessities more than covered. Plenty of glasses, dishes, etc. for you to use. The bedrooms are on the lower level, which makes it nice if some people want to stay up while others are still socializing. The garage was wonderful and convenient. It also has amazing windows that let in a lot of light. The wifi was good on the main level, but a little weak downstairs. They also have cable so you can view tv if you are interested.
On the negative side, the main level and loft are just to hot to use during the day if the temperatures outside are anywhere near 80. I knew this house did not have air conditioning (like many houses in the Tahoe area) so it was not a surprise. The surprise was exactly how hot the main level got during the day. The same windows that let in so much light, make it a greenhouse during the day. The lower windows on the main level have blinds, but the upper ones don't. The house was so hot we could not use the loft at all during our trip and the main level was not usable the majority of the daytime hours. Once the temperature was below 70ish, you could get enough breeze to use the main level. There are 3 very small fans in the home, but they are not strong/large enough to move enough air to cool the main level. The lower level stays cooler but larger fans would have been wonderful.
I would absolutely recommend this house if you are not staying during the warm months. It is a great house with a lovely floorplan. We were there during the 2nd week of September and it was just too hot to fully enjoy it.

First I'd like to say the house was nicely updated, bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen was well supplied from a cooking perspective. Great location. For the most part we had mostly positive things to say about the house itself. However, on the downside. the yard is not attached to the house , which was why we wanted a yard to be able to let dogs out and play and potty, but the access to the yard was from outside the house, and yard was a dirt bowl. The other really negative thing that actually caused us to leave 4 days early was that the house did not have any air ventilation other than windows, and the smoke from the fires was unhealthy, and we could not open windows. So hot air, outside smoke and not air filtration was really deadly for our crew.

Great dog friendly home!
We loved this rental! It was perfect for our family of four and border collie pup. Loved the big windows, outdoor deck and yard. Location was perfect and close to many dog friendly beaches. Would stay there again for sure!
