Umfassender Umbau 2016 in diesem attraktiven Haus auf drei Ebenen, das sich für Familien oder Paare eignet, die etwas Privatsphäre wünschen. Das Queensize-Bett im Erdgeschoss sowie eine ausklappbare Couch bieten Platz für 4 Personen in einem Raum. Dieses Zimmer verfügt über einen großen Flachbild-TV und einen Gaskamin, der eine gemütliche Atmosphäre schafft. Auf dieser Etage befindet sich ein Badezimmer mit einer gefliesten Dusche. Eine moderne Küche und ein offener Wohnbereich in der 2. Etage bieten Meerblick und Zugang zu einem nach Westen und Süden ausgerichteten Deck mit Grill. Auf dieser Etage befindet sich auch ein kleiner Fernsehraum, der als Schlafzimmer mit ausziehbarer Couch dient, und ein Badezimmer mit zwei Waschbecken und einer Badewanne mit Klauenfüßen sowie ein angrenzender Waschraum mit großer Kapazität. Das Hauptschlafzimmer im 3. Stock ist nach Westen ausgerichtet, um Haystack zu sehen. Das andere Schlafzimmer im 3. Stock verfügt über 2 Queensize-Betten, antike Möbel und eine Leseecke mit Blick auf den Heuhaufen. Das Badezimmer in der obersten Etage verfügt über eine attraktive Fliesendusche und ein Dachfenster. Ihre "must have wi-fi" -Mitglieder genießen eine Hochgeschwindigkeitsverbindung mit gutem Empfang an allen Standorten des Hauses. Flachbildfernseher und ein schönes Soundsystem in der 2. This was a great property and experience and it enhanced our visit to Cannon Beach. The location is perfect for access to the beach, hikes, biking, shopping, etc. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Cannon Beach.

The Dorothy Lou home was ideal for our extended family vacation. Very nice and spacious 2nd floor living space and dining area with access to 2 decks. Very well-equipped kitchen. The owner had beach toys available in the garage for our 2 and 4 year old granddaugthers, beach chairs for the 1st generation, and a wagon to transport it all on the short walk to the beach.
Owner Karl was helpful and very responsive to messages.

This was a very comfortable setting for my two grown daughters and myself for a couple of days while we explored Cannon Beach. We were very pleased to be a little removed from the busier part of Cannon Beach and enjoyed walking down to the nearby pub for beers and dinner and to the two stores to get any missing items.
The kitchen seemed well stocked, although we did no cooking. The beds were all comfortable and had plenty of extra blankets available if needed. It is worth noting that there are two steep flights of stairs in this house and one flight is unavoidable if one is to make use of the kitchen and communal area of the home.

Wow! Had the time of our lives. Plenty of room to sleep our family of 5 adults and 4 children with one under 2. Had pack and play for baby to sleep in, and high chair too. Close walk to the beach. Only problem we had was it had a lot stairs, which we already knew, but the grandson broke his ankle the first day and that was a challenge. We still had a great time and I would recommend this place as a great place to stay. Thank you to the Hadley family for opening their home up to us.

The Dorothy Lou Family Home was very comfortable, well-kept and convenient, and felt like relaxing at your personal ocean getaway. The well designed kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, cooking utensils, spices, coffee filters, pantry essentials, etc. The location is convenient to most of the local attractions, including a three-block walk to the closest beach access. The ground floor bedroom suite with TV sitting area and walk-in shower was an added bonus because it made the house more accessible. We slept well in the comfortable beds. There was an abundance of hot water and large, plush towels, especially ideal for the deep soaking tub. In a quiet neighborhood with views of the ocean and Haystack, the Dorothy Lou Home was perfect for our family retreat. We look forward to coming back!

This house was Exactly as advertised and was perfect for my various groups of friends who came over an 11 day period. The location is great; a short walk to the beach, a short walk to the grocery store, a short walk to the pub. The house is very well equipped with lots of cookware, glassware, small appliances, spices, coffee filters, laundry soup - really everything. There are even good knives, which in many places is not the case. The beds were very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water. There are 3 televisions which we never watched as we were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time outside. There are games and puzzles as well. Parking is easy. There is a nice ocean view from the deck and the living room and one of the upstairs bedrooms. I had a couple of questions and Karl responded instantly. I would recommend the Dorothy Lou house without hesitation and hope to visit again in the next year or two. It's a great spot from which to enjoy Cannon Beach and the surrounding area.

This home perfectly accommodated our family, including 3 kids under age 7 and grandparents. It was cozy, yet spacious. It was bright and clean. Everyone had a comfortable and quiet place to sleep. Loved having the garage to unload and keep all of our sand filled shoes and toys. The host was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and thoughtful. It was a very quick walk to the beach. Also loved this southern side of cannon- beautiful and more quiet than downtown. The home was even better than we expected and we really hope to be back.

We loved our girls weekend at the Dorothy Lou Family Home. We had just a short walk across the street to the beach to watch the sunset and take a nice walk. Great location and nice quiet neighborhood. The house was very well stocked and laid out. The kitchen had everything that you could possibly want or need. Lots of towels in the bathrooms and nice bedding. We will definitely go back again!

The property manager was very responsive and even called to check in on us when he heard the power was out. The home is cozy with more beach views than the photos let on. Beds were very comfortable and linens of good quality. The kids enjoyed playing flashlight hide and seek when the power was off and we had a very nice stay.

It was difficult getting everyone to commit to a date but everyone was so glad we stayed at this location once it was over. Perfect location and the home was clean and fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Not only was it super clean and well cared for, but the owners include such things as hair dryers, soap, coffee filters, etc.
The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were really high quality.
The location is ideal, very close to the beach, the town, but quiet enough to be a relaxing retreat.
We even saw an elk in the yard across the street (bonus!)
I would highly recommend this property, the owners were very professional and the pride they have in this home really shows!

This was our family's first visit to Cannon Beach and we thoroughly enjoyed the four days from start to finish. This house was wonderful -- very clean, spacious, well-equipped, quiet and easy access to the beach. We plan to re-book it for a week next summer. Highly recommended!

We used the car only once during our stay. The house was perfect for two kids under the age of 4 and 6-7 adults. We would walk to the beach in the morning ( 2 minutes), in the afternoon and sunset. Naps, lunch and dinner in between. A good grocery store was just a couple of blocks away, great coffee and bakery, a pizza place and a pub all within a block. The best beach to walk on about 7 miles end to end. Flat and entertaining with views, people and dogs. Beautiful
The house is so kid friendly with a great bath for the kids. We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, decks and open plan.
Beach chairs, a little wagon, umbrellas and sand toys were provided.
Quiet master on the first floor was great for the grand aunts.
Washer and dryer came in handy as well as the BBQ.
Only one small recommendation. We hope the owners will buy some cheap beach towels for their clients. We flew in from Canada and California and had to purchase beach towels. We hope they will consider supplying them next time. Otherwise the family reunion was just perfect for making starfish memories!

We liked the soaking tub and the showers were as nice as an upscale hotel that we stayed at in the area. The kitchen was bigger than we expected. The house was very clean and we could find everything we needed throughout our stay. Lots of outdoor seating to listen to the ocean with your morning coffee. Close enough to walk to good coffee, a grocery store, and Moe’s restaurant. I’d definitely stay here again.
