We travel often & have stayed at many rental properties. However our experience with this property was unique. There were positives, but aspects of the property we were really surprised by.
Pros:
The pictures of the property are accurate. While it's small, it's clean & everything is in good shape. Washer/dryer REALLY came in handy. We had everything we needed at the property. We didn't cook, but we could have as all the basics were there.
Cons:
THIS PROPERTY IS NOT WALKING DISTANCE TO THE BEACH! The original listing said it was & this was why we chose this property. At best, it was a ~15 min drive to Newport Beach. When you are looking at the segment of the listing that lists how close the nearest beaches are, it's inaccurate. We looked at the proximity of the beaches to the house & the mileage in the listing isn't right. Also, you enter a code to get into the house. It's an electronic touch pad & very finicky. It went smoothly a small handful of times. The majority of the time we had to enter the code multiple times to lock & unlock the door. Lastly, my interactions with the owner made me feel like I was bothering her. Also she logged into Vrbo to message us rather than thru cell phones. It was super inconvenient. I had to keep logging into Vrbo to respond to her.
Overall, property is nice, but not as convenient. Several things could have been made so much easier without a lot of effort on the owner's part. Also, the inaccuracies in the listing were disappointing.

The beds were comfortable and everything was ver clean. We arrived late, and Lina was super responsive and made checking in super simple! I definitely recommend this property and host!

We loved our stay! The location was perfect for us - we visited San Diego, Los Angeles, and Laguna Beach. We really only slept at the house, but it had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and everything was ver clean. We arrived late, and Lina was super responsive and made checking in super simple! I definitely recommend this property and host!

Property was as advertised. It’s located close to many restaurants, bars, etc and close to major highways and beaches. It gets busy in the area during the day but is actually quiet at night. Enjoyed my stay and would rent again

Owner/Host was very kind, attentive. communicated via text and let us know she was available for anything we needed she let us know area gets crazy during holiday week as far as traffic goes and told us to be safe. i felt like she truly cared about us as guests. my favorite thing about this listing is a framed piece of art in the hallway that looks like it was made by a child and professionally framed, its super cute. we would gladly recommend this listing to anyone wanting a good location for vacation. it’s conveniently located between Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, very short drive to either location. we will definitely be back!!! Thank you Lina for being so accommodating and sweet !!!😉🏖🙏🏻

The home is located across from a school so it made it more difficult to get in and out around school pick up and drop off times. Not a bad thing, just nice to know. The home was very clean, however upon arrival we noticed a foul smell and realized later it was from the garbage disposal that had leftover food still in it. One of the bathroom sinks backed up while being used, and it smelled a bit like plumbing. Also, it seemed strange to have large bottles of nearly empty shampoo/body wash, and hand soap. Again, these are minor complaints only to make the owner aware. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a great experience with the owner and space.

Great stay
This property had everything that we could ask for as a home away from home. The house was large and well stocked. Modern and clean are two words that I would use to discribe; and so well located for restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful and clean
The place was beautiful and clean. We loved our stay. The beds are very stiff so if you like soft beds this is something to think about. It is about 3 miles from the beaches very convenient and close.

Gorgeous remodel! The home has amazing air conditioning for those hot summer months. Plenty of linens, toiletries, and pantry items! All the dishes and pans you will need. Private and clean garage for vehicle or beach toys. We will stay at this location again. Lina and her team made it an easy comfortable stay for us! Thank you!

Modern House Close to Everything
We just stayed in this beautifully decorated house for a vacation in Southern California for Christmas. Definitely close to everything ...beaches, shopping, and most of all Disneyland was only 20 minutes away. The house had everything we could possibly need for our stay and we loved the openness of the living area. Having 2 bathrooms was a big plus with my 2 daughters (no fighting for bathroom time). Plenty of linens (soap and shampoo too- what a plus!) and the beds were really comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting a more affordable location but still close to the beaches. You definitely will need a car but ample parking is provided. Renting this house was a great decision for our family ..we loved it!

We enjoyed our stay here in Costa Mesa. The home is modernly renovated with updated kitchen, bathrooms, and wood flooring. The beds were very firm but comfortable to sleep on. There's a garage to park your car in, so that was nice. The kitchen had all the cookware needed but the pots/pans could use an update because everything else is so nice in the kitchen. There is a good amount of street noise because the home is across from a school and near a busy street do you can hear lots of cars and big trucks passing by during the day, but nighttime it is fine (not a big issue if you're out and about all day).

We recommend parking at Toy Story parking lot if you will be visitng the parks. We found it to be easier and less congested then the garage parking lot. The home was fully equipped with anything you may need in the kitchen, extra linen and towels were available as well. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Wish we had more time to spend there but we were park bound! Lina was great to work with and quick in responding if needed. The property has a very small side yard if you are looking for a place for outdoor patio it is limited. We will definitely love to stay at this property again for future visits.

This place worked awesome for us. It is freshly remodeled and very clean. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice and you even get a garage! Lina was great to deal with and helped us out with an early check in. The location was great and was central to everything we wanted to do. I highly recommend this place.

We were in Orange County for a class reunion and this property was perfect for our needs. The IKEA style remodel was gorgeous and the layout made the home seem much larger than it actually was. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils and having use of the one car garage was perfect as street parking was often difficult. We brought our bicycles and twice did a 16.5 mile loop around Newport Back Bay which was very enjoyable. The location is freeway close but in a residential neighborhood that is not far from Triangle Square in Costa Mesa and we were even able to walk to church on Sunday. This rental is perfect for two couples or a small family. We really enjoyed our time and would rent this value-priced unit again.

Pros: Overall, I liked our stay. AC was great and cold. House nicely updated and felt modern and clean. Bed were firm but comfortable. Location convenient and close to a lot of stores and strip malls which made it easy for quick bites to eat or grouchy runs. The freeway was close and Disneyland to 20-25 minutes to get to. The beach takes 10-20 minutes depending on which you pick. I also felt the was not much street noise in bedrooms and the master had a small fan provided that was great for white noise to help us or the kids sleep during naps or sleep in times when we were noisy in the house. Also I loved the garage which opens to the living room. So convenient for loading and unloading. The owner was easy to contact by text and was quick in her responses.
The cons: The kitchen was stocked but needed more dishes and bigger pots. The setting was close to things but not great to look at (surrounded by houses and very little yard, and in front of you is a school with some mild kid noise). The house itself is in a pocket that is a predominately Latino neighborhood which is not a bad thing but made it a little harder to blend in.
Overall it was a nice stay and I would stay there again.
