Great location. Quiet. Mini-split ac made it very rooms comfortable, was hot & humid outside when we were there. Foam pad on queen in master bdrm uncomfortable. May be upside down as smooth side was on the bottom. Would have prefered a light blanket to the heavy comforter. TV somewhat confusing and limited but we didn't use it. Bathroom a long way from the bedrooms. Bottled water in fridge was a nice touch.

Location, location, location!!! The house has ideal location: walkable to the Wharf, Thames Street is literally around the corner and is short drive to the Newport Mansions on Bellevue Avenue. Best amenity of all: 2 parking slots for guests. Parking is a premium in Newport, so we saved a lot in parking fees. The tandem parking is tricky and with narrow streets at this historic neighborhood—definitely do not get anything larger than a midsize, if renting/bringing a car.

John was pleasant to work with during the booking process. Easy check-in and check-out. It was nice to have off-street parking for two vehicles in the heart of Newport. Accommodations were comfortable, and everything was in working order. Had everything we needed for our stay. Liked that it was walk-able to all the shops and dining. For being close to everything, it was a quiet location! We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again.

This property is in the perfect location for a trip to visit the sights in Newport. It is right off of Thames Street. Walking to shopping, the waterfront and restaurants is as easy as it can be. We enjoyed being able to walk down Thames to the action and back to the house throughout the day. It is also a very short drive to tour the mansions . The apartment is very clean and has a well appointed kitchen! The owner is quick to respond to any communication and very helpful! The driveway is a tight turn so I wouldn’t want to try parking a large SUV, but the Kia Sorento I rented worked fine. If you are planning a visit to Newport this is the place to be! We loved it!

This property is located in a great area on lower Thames. The only reason you need your car is to get back and forth to the beach. It has a nice large kitchen that is bright and airy and both bedrooms have plenty of closet space. Even though we had to call John about the washing machine he was very quick and helpful in calling me back and solved our problem. Also a plus is parking for 2 cars in the driveway! If you know Newport this is huge! The only thing I feel was missing is a gas grill. (But I knew that going in.) John is was easy to communicate with and I would definitely rent his porperty again. Highly recommend this rental.

John's place had everything we needed. We were able to walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. The area has an abundance of nice restaurants and shops.

Very well kept two bedroom rental, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Parking was a huge plus! Very clean with lots of amenities.

Our family stayed here, surprisingly quiet despite being a half-block away from O'Brien's - one of our favorite spots for lunch with the kids (and the fishing fountain). =-) Apartment had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Good stay overall. Had to get help with power for one room, and the kitchen sink area was over run with ants. But great location as a whole.

Four of us stayed for our first time in Newport. We were so happy with the location of the apartment; we were able to walk everywhere! The apartment was clean and well kept and the outdoor patio space was a nice bonus!

This apartment was perfect for us! My friends and I were in town for a wedding. The location could not have been more convenient (right of Thames St.), the A/C worked wonderfully, and it was very clean. John was a pleasure to work with and even allowed us to enter the property a few hours early. It was truly a great experience. Thank you, John!!!

Wish that the property was advertised that there were two units. Would have loved to have rented both as we were there for a family wedding and other members could have stayed in the other unit.

The only thing missing? Trash bags. Everything else was fantastic. Renovated bathroom with great water pressure. Sizable rooms and kitchen. Be sure to request the air is turned on prior to arrival if possible during the summer - but once it cools down, it's a fantastic spot. You'll love the location and be glad you booked this spot! John takes good care of you and communicates very well.

Half block to Thames St. Difficult to get into driveway because of narrow street, but after a few times you get the hang of it, nice to have the car off the street. All necessities there, nice beach chairs and umbrella. Bring your own beach towels though. Nice to have washer and dryer. Furniture could be better, the beds and couch are pretty hard. Main bedroom is huge and easily fit a pack and play for our daughter. Definitely decorated by a dude, could use a little more beach house charm according to my wife. Neighbors were reasonably quiet, especially considering it was 4th of July week. Overall a nice stay.

Adorable digs in Newport RI. Had such a blast. Quaint street right in the heart of town and in walking distance to everything. The only drive necessary was to the beach (Easton/1st). All the amenities you could ask for even see beach supplies. My only minor complaint was not enough bath towels. Overall, it was clean and perfect for our stay for 3 nights and 4 days. Will def visit again. :)

Johns place was awesome! It was exactly like the pictures. We are empty nesters and for this trip had our grown children with us for my nieces wedding. Plenty of room to get ready. My sister and her family had the upper unit and we were able to utilize the front hallway by unlocking our door and we all could visit and plan our events. We walked Thames street many many times for shopping and eating. No shortage of places to eat and shop. Johns VRBO was fully stocked with everything you would need. Just bring your food and drinks. Parking in the back is a huge advantage, as the parking in Newport is a nightmare! Quiet, clean, and comfy! Thanks John for a memorable stay.

We just returned for our stay in Newport and had a great trip! This unit is the perfect location to access the marina, shopping, restaurants, or touring the mansions on Bellevue, all in walking distance! The unit includes an updated washer and dryer and has a heater for when you step out of the shower. The off street parking is a huge plus. Everyone in our party was very comfortable throughout the stay!

I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL WONDERFUL, BUT I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE MIGHT BE DISAPPOINTED.
