It's still not too far from Worcester and it's obviously maintained. Definitely would stay again!

A tad bit hard to find down a dirt road filled with pot holes- but the location at the end of the road on a little peninsula on the lake was gorgeous. The house was clean, spacious and perfect for our family Thanksgiving gathering. The house could use a little updating and some refreshed furnishings, but was still comfortable and clean and everything was in working order.

We were all in awe when we drove up to the property, and even more so when we entered the home. It was spotless, and the decor was so cozy and welcoming. We had everything that was needed for our 2-night stay, including the most spectacular view to wake up to. I highly recommend this host.

This was the perfect house for a weekend getaway. Quiet, secluded location. But still close enough to get to Worcester (less than 15 minutes). The house was very nice with plenty of space. Debra was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. I would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for Mom's surprise 80th birthday party! The house is very spacious. The location couldn't have been more ideal. When we first arrived, we walked down to the lake before going in the house and were greeted by a pair of swans! The house itself sits on a peninsula, so there were water views from every room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking for the group, and we were all able to sit around the dining room table. We didn't have any problems during our stay. I communicated with Debra a few times prior to arrival, and she always replied promptly. We all hope to return soon! Thanks, Debra!

No negatives! Fantastic location and house. Huge bedrooms, living room and dining room. Kitchen was large and fantastic. All necessities were there. Beach is great and water was clear. No neighbors visible. Huge garage. Master bath is terrific. And a working ice machine! Ceiling fans throughout. Bedroom ac great. Love sitting on decks.

My family had a wonderful week here. It felt private (only a few neighbors along the long bumpy driveway) yet only <25 min to everything we wanted to do outside the house (shopping, eating, mini golf). We had a lovely time on the mini beach and only wish we could have a boat to get out on the water to get a closer look at the resident swans. All the rooms were as described, although the mattresses have been well worn which made it difficult for our older guests that needed a firm mattress. There are ACs in the bedrooms, and fans in the common areas. When it got too hot, I would retreat to the bedroom. We enjoyed playing games and sharing meals at the large dining room table, cooking in the large kitchen, and watching TV in the basement. I will say there's a strong smell in the basement that would benefit from a dehumidifier. Overall a great place to stay with some TLC needed here and there like fixing the bathroom door.

The listing itself was not what we expected. There are tons of steps inside of the home, to get to the living room, to get to the bedroom and bathrooms. Also for paying a cleaning fee, you sure do have to have the place spotless when you leave. The basement smelt like mold. The place itself was not even clean on arrival, we had to wash dishes before we used them as they were dirty. There was tons of spider webs all over the patios making them unusable which was disappointing because the weather was spectacular. Having family photos in a rental house is kinda strange (it makes it very creepy) but the pinecones were amazing! Also there were no blinds or curtains anywhere in the home, so privacy was an issue because there is a house near by and across the pond. The washer and dryer knobs were nasty, sticky and dirty. The dishwasher didn’t work half the time, the bathtub/shower wouldn’t drain we had to hunt for a plunger. One of the AC in the room (which are ancient) stopped working or wouldn’t cool the room down. You have to supply your own trash bags, TP, paper towels, which is not something you can just buy one of so you are actually supplying for the other tenants. There was nothing to spray and wash down the counters that were dirty. The knives were NOT sharp and some of them were broken at the tip. This place cost to much for all the issues and uncleanliness. There were TONS of large black ants too.

We loved our stay at Newton Pond. We pick a new location each year in the NY/New England area. This might be our favorite thus far! We appreciated the privacy, as we never saw or heard the neighbors. We’re a quiet group ourselves and therefore appreciated being able to enjoy the nature. We saw lots of ducks, the local swans, and the beaver who resides nearby.

This was a great stay. The house was large and, even though it accommodated eight people at one time, we never felt crowded. It's at the end of a peninsula which means total privacy. There are a few houses before you come into the property but we never actually saw anyone except for the wonderful neighbors we were fortunate to have met. Total privacy was easy if that's your preference, and yet, it was less than ten minutes' drive to a grocery store and other shops. The beach was completely private and great for youngsters. The dock was perfect for the kids to fish from. The house was clean and well equipped. The photos are pretty accurate. All of the bedrooms were a good size and the master suite was large with its own private bathroom and deck (one of three). The kitchen, dining room, and livingroom were also large. AND, there is a full, wonderful basement with comfy furniture, a large screen TV, and a pool table. These saved us on those rainy days! All in all, a really special place that I would love to return to someday! I highly recommend this house - it's great!

This was a great home to stay in with our 4 young adult children. The home was in a great location for all the different sight seeing adventures we went on. Having a home allowed us to relax at the end of our day and spend a day being together.

The house is wonderful in all ways. My issue has more to do with the marketing. The final price is essentially double what you see as the "total" when you start your search. It feels dishonest when fees, only presented after you have search through many alternatives have this much impact on the final cost. I really want to know the actual "total" cost when I am comparing options rather than some "total" that is not a "total" in any way.

We stayed for graduation weekend. Had some extended family stop by after the ceremony. Everyone was raving about what a spot we had found. When we go away, I search for a house that can accommodate all of us and a dog. The location will be what it is. But this time, I needed location first and foremost, and enough space and beds and the dog. I hit on Quillan Point, and just booked. I can't believe what we got. Views out of almost every window of the pond. 3 decks. plenty of beds, a huge kitchen, a huge living room, dining room, massive space downstairs. I brought a crockpot and a lobster pot. They already had both. They have everything. So close to the city, but a true rural feel. Loved it. Everyone loved it. Thanks for letting us stay.

This home sits on a beautiful point on Newton Pond. While the pond is small, it is great for canoes or kayaks if you have them to bring. There is plenty of wildlife - a majestic bald eagle, a pair of trumpet swans, Canada geese, merganser ducks, mallards, etc. our grandchildren (8&9) enjoyed playing on the small sandy beach by the water. There is lots of outdoor space and plenty of space in the home for two families. The kitchen is huge as well as the living room and dining room. There is nothing left over from previous tenants in the refrigerator, so be sure to bring your own condiments. Debra was very responsive to any questions we had and we hope to go back in the near future.

Our group had mixed feelings about this home.
Pros: beautiful location on the lake with nice property, nice set up with bedrooms on opposite sides of the house, good for entertaining with a beautiful dining room and big kitchen. Homeowner was quick to respond to questions and issues.
Cons: Both bedrooms we used had dirty quilts on the beds, all pillows have been more than used, there were nail clippings left on bedside table, bathroom rugs need to be washed. Fireplace did not work (per owner ongoing issue), trash was overflowing and warning in instructions for $100 fee if excess trash (contacted owner to let them know).
I can see the house could be amazing with a good cleaning and some easy updates on items like pillows.

This home is well setup to enjoy time as a family. The beds are all comfortable and rooms are well setup. The kitchen is fully stocked and great for keeping everyone fed. The space is really enjoyable and allows for a group to have a nice time.
Debora is easy to communicate with and everything was in order. Many thanks for a lovely vacation!

Home was huge and very clean. Property was nice but a thick layer of leaves covered the patio space and walkways to doors. Well stocked kitchen but guests should be prepared to bring all supplies with them, there was only a single roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and laundry available but no detergent. Overall, we had a quiet and comfortable stay in a very spacious home.

Let me start by stating that this place would be great for anyone who doesn’t care about swimming in the pond. If you are looking for a private place where you can sit on deck and enjoy looking at nature then this would be great. Buttttttt if you are thinking you will go and be able to jump off a dock or float around with your feet in the water you will be, like us, sorely disappointed. The pond is infested with a weed called milfoil which is invasive and grows up to the surface of the water so if you go more than 10’ off shore and try to swim or float you will be fighting your way through the stuff (and it just feels gross!) My wife loves just lounging around drifting on a float and she simply couldn’t do it at all so the pond was useless for her. (My son and I both like fishing so it was great for that but we were the only ones who got to enjoy it.)
We were also very disappointed in the response from the host. When we arrived we found a flock of 20+ geese living on the small dock and they had been there awhile. I got up our fist morning there and using a snow shovel, igloo cooler as a bucket and an old push broom I found I spent over 2 hours scrubbing and cleaning the dock to make it somewhat usable. When I reached out to the host (as we are supposed to do) instead of offing assistance or asking if there was anything we needed she simply said, “Oh, it’s never been like that. Sorry.” I didn’t really think my vacation would start with hours of cleaning literal goose s$&t off of a beach and dock so that was very frustrating.
The house itself was nice but dated and there were a lot of little things that need repair which definitely subtracted from our stay. Doors that stuck so badly they wouldn’t close (hard to have any expectation of privacy when the master bedroom door stuck open so much someone could easily see or hear inside), towel Rod in bathroom that feel off in our hands, dock ladder so loose and broken it was unusable (if you were brave enough to swim), screws stuck up all over the dock, block steps to the beach so loose they fell on first trip over them, the grill so full of ashes it had to be cleaned before the first use…there was more but basically just a property that clearly is starting to deteriorate and needs more that just a cleaning between guests and requires a property manager who can fix what needs to be fixed.
Definitely not what was advertised and after the response we received we wouldn’t go back.

Fabulous stay at a well-equipped lake house. The pictures do not capture the beauty of the grounds. The house is well-equipped for cooking and spacious for a group. Easy to find yet secluded. Highly recommend!
