The cottage was clean and beautiful. We loved sitting under the giant oak tree on the deck. We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the cyclists go by. Walking distance to the beach, and entertainment. Fenced in yard for our dog . I can’t say enough great things about this place . We were able to create the most memorable times here . Absolutely lovely in every way .

In Spanish, Pura Vida means “pure life.” This cottage truly lives up to its name. Prior to booking, we viewed 2 different sets of photos on the Mermaid's website. The video shows different decor than the pictures. The cottage had been redecorated and they could not have done a better job. We had stayed at another Mermaid property (Men's Mess Hall) before deciding to switch it up & are so grateful we did. We loved the screened porch & spent the majority of our time there, when not at the beach. The outdoor furniture is incredibly comfortable. The dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer & dryer are a huge plus. All electric appliances. Water takes awhile to get warm. Mermaid Cottages always deliver a wonderful vacation stay.

The place is an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants and the screened in porch is a perfect place to welcome the day with coffee in the morning and close out the day with a glass of wine in the evening. Can't wait to go back..

This house is a great house in a great location. The screened porch is the show stopper. The fenced in yard is a bonus. I only have a few negative things. I miss the window coverings on the doors. Especially the door that faces 2nd Avenue. I wasn’t comfortable sitting in the chair in the living room knowing everyone on the street could see me but I couldn’t see them. It would be nice if the second bedroom had at least one full bed and a twin instead of two twins. A tv would be a nice addition as well.

My family and I had an amazing time on Tybee Island and in this lovely cottage. The decor with the beach theme was perfect for the area. I was nervous about noise with how close the homes are to one another but the neighborhood has quiet hours and my husband and I got a relaxing sleep each night on the very comfortable queen bed (best mattress besides my own that I have slept in when renting). The central air worked perfectly. The cable TV had plenty of programming options and the WIFI was strong. The screened in front porch was my favorite spot. I enjoyed drinking tea in there in the morning while watching bikers and walkers stroll by. The walk to the beach was a couple short blocks away. The beaches were amazingly clean and the sand was as smooth as silk. Tybee has a small town feel set in the tropics. While there are shops and restaurants, it didn’t feel like a tourist area. The cottage is also a very short walk to the local IGA which is well stocked. This cottage is on the bike path which allows you to traverse a lot of the island. You are also very close (20 minutes or so) to beautiful, historic Savannah. My husband and I never considered a beach town as a retirement place. However, there is something different about this place. If you want to be active, you can bike, swim, surf, kayak, walk, etc. The property manager was incredibly responsive. Our trip was amazing and we plan to go back next year if all goes as planned.

Let me start by saying that the customer service side of this rental was the best we've ever had and we've stayed in ALOT of other rentals with other companies. When we made the reservation we had a dog. Sadly a couple months ago we lost our pup, when I let them know they took the pet fee's off of our rent. We also thought we may need to check in early and they were happy to accommodate however we ended up not getting into town until 4PM anyways. The house was perfect, clean and well stocked. Check in was simple and we can't wait to stay here or with Mermaid Cottages again.

Our party of three chose Mermaid Cottages due to their consistence reputation of positive experiences and dependability. Pura Vida had the privacy we were looking for and it was such a clean and cozy stay. The outdoor shower, and washer and dryer unit were essential. The beds and living room furniture was very comfortable. Plenty of room in the kitchen and bathrooms and the screened in porch was a great place for naps, reading, and drinking one's morning coffee on a quiet and peaceful block. We felt the investment was well worth it and we would come back to this same cottage in the future. We appreciated Tammy periodically checking in on us throughout our stay as well.

Our experience at Sea Largo during January 2018 provided a welcome opportunity to again enjoy the unique Tybee ambience. Weather did not cooperate at first. We learned not to rent in early January next time! Sea Largo was cozy,clean, and comfortable. However, the cottage Sea was short on silverware, sink water was too slow to heat so we didn't use dishwasher, ice maker was broken, kitchen flooring was coming loose in one spot, and outdoor grill top didn't fit. Ongoing problems with getting owner's permission to rent more than one DVD required several phone calls to address. Nevertheless, we found our stay enjoyable and the services of the Mermaids reliable.

From the moment we entered Sea Largo with the soft music playing from the TV to morning coffee on the screen porch to the evening cocktails on the side deck...everything was fabulous. The cottage is adorable and clean as a whistle! The Mermaids checked on us to see if everything was ok. It’s in a great location for walking to restaurants. Loved the bike route for seeing the island. Will definitely return to Sea Largo!
