The property is pretty small but Steve & Sandy have furnished and outfitted it with a lot of thought. The thoughtful touches make the place really work. The new reclining leather sofa is really comfortable. Steve and Sandy were very thoughtful & kind, offering to let us slip our week because of the hurricane (and no rental the following week) and offering us towels for our wet dogs. The location is great - walking distance to the beach and very close to Rehoboth Ave.

The hosts are very amicable and quick to offer suggestions of spots for Happy Hour!!! The property is extremely well maintained and very clean. They are pet friendly. It is much better than the pictures. We came to bike ride and eat outside during COVID. There is a small bike rack to hitch your bikes too and this is safely behind the larger house. The neighborhood is really nice and a very reasonable distance from the beach and boardwalk. The couch is unexpectedly decadent. Be careful, you could become a couch potato! It is leather covered electrically automated recliner (actually on both sides). The left side can modify the back support, though you won't likely need this. And, the right side (seated) shares the same recliner function only. If you need a quick nap, this is your spot. The kitchen has been professionally redone and is very usable. We packed out food because of our COVID concerns and we had everything we needed. The hosts are also very generous with keeping some spices and ground salt and pepper mills in the cabinet for any food you wish to make. I planned to grill and Steve was quick to address the fact that the grilling surface had corroded (rusted deeply) In a day he had new grill surfaces ordered from Amazon that he seasoned himself and installed. He also lent me the use of his grill temporarily to address the need for a grill surface and some LP gas (a prior guest had left all the burners on max with no flame and emptied the container). Early the next morning he also showed up with a full container of LP gas!!! If you do grill, they have a bucket of grill implements, so that you can do so to your hearts delight. Steve and Sandy have also very nicely decorated the inside of the small home with all sorts of creative touches. If you like to read, this is a good setting and there are many books on the shelf, if you forget to bring your own. There was one bad review on here and I did read it and briefly discussed it with the hosts. If you are down for a real party, then I would probably suggest you stay elsewhere. I don't think the hosts are even anti-party, just not looking for the excitement you will find in their response to that review. There is a note on the fridge and you will be expected to keep the floor clean. I used a dust buster they had on a bottom shelf on a charger for this. Maybe we were lucky, but they were stocked up on supplies. We brought our own, but they will get you started! Highly Recommended!

This is the third time that we have stayed here and we have already booked for next year. It’s a great little cottage-perfect for two people. It’s close to everything and Steve and Sandy are great hosts. Highly recommend!

I think we must have had the best week of the summer, weather wise. The little cottage is very cute and cozy, and comfortable. As others have said, everything you might possibly need was provided as well. My cat came along, and she thoroughly enjoyed the sun room and the "hammock" that was the beach cart. We walked into town every day. I would not hesitate to rent this cottage again!

A good value, especially for the location, which was a bit farther than anticipated but still good. Enjoyed the quiet street. Nicely updated and decorated. As another reviewer commented, upstairs bedroom ( with slanted ceilings)and small bathroom downstairs took some getting used to but were okay. Taller guests might have some issues… Owners were helpful and accommodating. All in all we would recommend.

The pluses: close to beach and main shopping street; lots of good restaurants in the area; off- street parking available; and, dogs are welcome. The negatives: bedroom is on the second floor and stairs to it are very steep; bathroom is on first floor and very narrow; several cooking utensils and pots were not clean and had to be scrubbed before use; beach umbrella was broken, limiting its use.

This is a hidden gem. Still close to everything. Wonderful that I can have my dogs there! Nothing but positive experience

The cottage is a perfect place for a relaxing visit to the beach. It is in a quiet location with easy access to the beach and nearby hiking trails. Sandy and Steve were friendly hosts and very responsive to my needs.

I went on vacation to find peace. It was perfect. I never drove my car off the lot after arriving. Everything was in walking distance - just what I wanted. The cottage was just perfect for me and my dog Champ. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at the beach and the local shops and farmers market. I would highly recommend this place!

This little cottage was close to all the best restaurants Rehoboth has to offer. It is decorated very cute and has a nice side yard with chairs and a picnic table. We walked to the beach everyday. The cottage is small, so more than 2 adults might be crowded. The bathroom is small, but functional. The new leather recliner and TV were great!

What a beautiful cottage. It felt even more private than I expected. We parked and walked everywhere for the week. The beach dolly helped tremendously. The owners are incredibly welcoming. Would love to return in the future.

We have stayed here for many years. It is truly our "Happy Place". Steve and Sandy are awesome hosts and available if you need anything. The cottage has everything you need and is always clean and feels like home. We can park our car for a week and walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and community theater. Steve's cottage is a beautifully kept cottage with easy access to the heart of Rehoboth. The cottage offers a quiet, serene environment sure to satisfy anyone seeking a rejuvenating, relaxing vacation.

We loved our stay in this charming cottage! It was small, but plenty of open space for 2 adults and a dog. The beautiful sun room added another room off the living area and we spent much time there, as it overlooked the stunning back yard. We used the 2nd upstairs bedroom, double bed included, as a dressing room where we kept our suitcases. The air conditioning was very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet as they were window units. The downstairs stayed cool during the day because of the many trees. The new reclining leather sofa and TV were terrific. The main living areas were very accommodating with stunning decor...very homey and warm! Steve and Sandy were very kind and were ready to assist with any information needed.. The new Barcalounger is so comfortable! Loved having two beds in separated sleeping areas. I would caution anyone older or with mobility issues-- the staircase to upstairs is steep and mostly open. I had no issue with it, but my senior parent struggled.

I had the most wonderful time taking a solo mini vacation to Steve and Sandy's cottage and have zero complaints whatsoever. The place was tiny enough to make a single girl feel comfortable, but absolutely spacious enough for a couple and pet. It is within literal walking distance of just about everywhere I wanted to go and once the Jolly Trolly is up and running, I doubt you'd even need to move your car once. Steve and Sandy were the sweetest hosts and welcomed me on my first night there as they live in the front property. They were available by phone any time I had a housing question and were eager to provide recommendations as I requested due to dietary preferences. I will ABSOLUTELY book with them again in the future!!!

This was a VERY comfortable stay for a couple and their dog. The photos accurately tell you what you're getting, which turns out to be a 90-year old cottage (I liked the history). Communication with the owners are easy and fast. We had some concerns about living in someone's "back yard" but Steve and Sandy struck the right balance of giving us a welcome greeting and orientation and then just being friendly neighbors. The outdoor seating area is calm and private. The location is an easy walk from beach, restaurants, shops. We really enjoyed our fall week here.
