The tremendous view from the lanai, the pool and the ocean remain the same beautiful, soul rewarding features. The unit C202 which we stayed in last year also, had multiple things wrong with it, which the manager worked to improve in a timely manner. The buildings in general are not being kept up. The elevator certificates in buildings B & C are both out of date by 20 months. I called the posted condo association phone and received a voice mail back saying the pit had problems that are fixed. Living in a condo back home, we would not been able to run an elevator that was a day overdue, so I cannot understand how these are allowed to operate. Being handicapped, I need a safe elevator. Elevators in buildings B & C were both poorly repaired on the internal walls and tiles are missing from the lanais. This is why we will not be renting any Sanddollar unit again.

The bedrooms were comfortable and the layout was just the right size for our week there. The view from the beach front patio was magnificent and we enjoyed eating all our meals out there. The beach chairs, toys and bikes that the owners left for us to use were an added bonus, and so handy in the downstairs closet after coming back from the beach. The pool was a bit small for the size of the complex, and got quite crowded at times, but we preferred the beach anyway. Sanibel Holiday were so helpful & quick to respond with a few questions we had and recommendations during our week's stay! We had one of the most amazing family vacations we've ever had at Sanddollar. We simply love Sanibel!

The only consistent frustration was the layout of the master bathroom; the toilet is in a narrow spot that we never really got used to. The storage unit under the building is musty and we didn't make much use of it.

But overall, the unit is itself beautiful and comfortable, the complex is quiet and clean, and the view of the gulf is well worth the price. Just make sure you protect yourself from the noseeums when you're walking to/from the beach at dusk. The vegetation is beautiful but does come with some insect activity (no worse than anywhere else on the island).

We will definitely consider doing business with Sanibel Holiday in the future and will recommend Sanddollar to our friends and family.

I think the unit could use some updating with bedding especially. Also the dehumidifier was not working well at all as it stayed damp the entire week. Also, a cleaning of the dryer vent at 8:30AM was not appreciated by the guests still sleeping - maybe later in the day when all are out of the unit. The property itself could use a little updating (e.g., beds and most of the major appliances, some of the walls/paint needs touched up). Also this is one of the only rental properties in recent years I've rented where you had to have an actual physical key to access the property. Not a big deal but when going to/from the beach I missed the convenience of a keycode. But Sanibel Holiday is great to rent with and I look forward to our next trip!

The condo was clean and colorful. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The beach was a short walk. The pool was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and we spotted various animals, even bunny rabbits!! Overall, I would definitely recommend.

The master bathroom needs major updating. The tile in the shower is cracked and just outside the shower door there is corrosion. For the price of renting these condos they should be pristine. This condo needs bathroom and kitchen updates. No view of the beach from the porch because if the palm trees.

The location is first rate. The condo unit is spacious - we had a party of 6. Only quibbles are the little things that make a stay nicer - no pizza cutter, a broken coffee pot lid which caused a couple of spills - and the pot had no auto shutoff - very dangerous), just two bikes, broken or outdated beach equipment. But those are just quibbles - overall very enjoyable.

C202 smelled like dirty socks. The couch smelled bad too. The light switches were encrusted with dirt and food. There was mold on the wall in the kitchen and the air vents were very dirty. There was food splattered on walls and cupboards. There were 2 critical lightbulbs burned out. 3 out of 4 tv’s were unusable bc the batteries were dead. Deadbolt on front door coming unscrewed and door handle had busted through the wall due to broken door stop. Beds were not completely made when we arrived. Fancy bedspreads were not on. Furniture needed replaced and the condo overall had many things that needed fixed or replaced. This was definitely not a 4 star condo as stated on VRBO.
