The property is in a great location if you’re looking to explore the city. We found it very charming especially the historic side street it is on. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance and if you don’t like it clean, go to dirty Franks on the corner. We enjoyed our evening there because the people were the coolest. We would return to this property and recommend it.

We would love to stay here again!

Dad and I travelled to Philadelphia to see the history. To be able to stay in such an amazing property that is historic in it’s own right was amazing.
Very good shape, clean and comfortable. A great place.

I stayed at the house for a month. It was a great place to stay: a nice home, with all the character of a 19th-century residence, on a quiet side lane with no through traffic. The house still has its original narrow, winding stairways (so, not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues). But it has all the modern conveniences, so it's a comfortable "trip back in time"! The host is very friendly, communicative, and helpful. On future trips to Philadelphia, I'll always check on this place first!

The house is beautiful & neighborhood are beautiful! Our teenager absolutely loved the colonial aesthetic look/decor. The neighborhood had everything we needed in walking distance, OId City, food, shopping, markets, public transit. The stairs are steep but just don't rush down & you'll be fine. The beds were great as well & we slept like babies (which is rare for us). Thank you Brook for opening your doors & providing such an awesome place for basecamp while we were in Philly! If we ever make it back we'll definitely stay again!

This home was beautiful! We loved every minute of staying here. It was like a trip back in time. We stayed a week and got pretty acquainted with the area by the time we left and discovered so many nice restaurants and places to visit within walking distance of this home. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s a cupcake shop right around the corner that has very delicious cupcakes! The neighborhood is quiet and felt quite safe. Walking the area was a treat. We found quite a few cool murals and stunning architecture. Would definitely stay again. Lastly Brooke was easily reached when we had a question. FIVE STARS!

When you stay here, you stay in a piece of history. The home was well equip. We were prepared for the steps and had a baby gate with us to keep the little one from falling! We had plenty of room for everyone. The property is quiet and the outdoor patio was a delight on cool evenings. We could walk or take a bus anywhere we wanted to go. Wonderful hosts think of everything we would need. Thank you for having us!!

We loved our stay at this property. Great location and perfect house for a Philly visit with my husband and two teenage boys. Close to everything. Kind of like living in a museum, but a very comfortable one. We'll be back for sure.

Location was perfect for exploring the city. We walked to most places. Lots is written about the steps, have to admit that I liked them as they helped burn off the calories gained from the cupcake shop right around the corner.
Was great having the washer/dryer and 2 bathrooms. Bed on top floor was very comfortable.

Great Stay in Philly
I stayed at this vrbo with a group of my friends while visiting Philly for the first time. The location was amazing, the home was comfortable and lovely, and the host was well organized and made the entire process seamless. Really enjoyed my stay here and appreciate the hard work it takes to make a place like this one so great.

We were able to spread out in the apartment and get some alone time, then gather together around the table in the kitchen or on the patio.
Neighbor was fun and friendly. We were able to walk to site see.
Overall, this was a magical vacation and the place we stayed was the cornerstone.
