The place was great! Well stocked with little treats like some welcoming snacks and drinks, lovely notebook with all the local activities/brochures, a picnic basket ready with the basics for a fun adventure and some puzzles and games. Lots of cozy areas to relax and get lost in or do a little work if needed. Our visit was unfortunately too short to enjoy much of it but hope to be back at some point. Oh and communication with the owner was great: quick, easy and fast responses. Thanks for the hospitality. Only suggestion is to maybe air out the place a bit or leave some windows open felt a little stuffy. And maybe I missed it but some tea and a teapot would be a great addition. You are definitely well stocked for the coffee drinkers.

From the moment you turn into the driveway you are swept away into peacefulness. From the beautiful drive in through magnolias, palms and Spanish moss to the breakfast treats welcoming us in our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hosts are exceptional and attentive. And the apartment is super cozy and comfortable. It was also well stocked.

EVERTYTHING was exceptional. My husband and I were amazed by the beautiful nature, biking opportunities, and peacefulness the Down Under had to offer. Linda and Tim were so easy to work with and super responsive to our needs. Whether it was information about local attractions/dining or help with the ethernet cable, Linda and Tim were easy to communicate with and so helpful. My husband was working remotely and had no issues with the internet. The beautiful touches in the Down Under were just as pictured. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and new, kitchen was small but had a newer refrigerator/freezer and everything we needed to make meals. The outdoor porch was a true highlight for us! We ate meals, played board games and just sat in nature and relaxed often. There is even a grapefruit tree which Linda said we could pick from if we wanted. The grapefruits are delicious! There were breakfast items when we arrived and an attached garage with a newer washer and dryer that I used often. We also stored our bikes in the garage and used the Withlacoochee trail nearly daily (we so miss that trail!!!). We are from Wisconsin and had a fabulous outdoor experience and really nice weather for Feb and March in Florida...the cherry on top:-) We loved the Down Under and are hoping to return. Thank you Linda and Tim.

Superb! Wow! What a warm, welcoming, well-equipped, wonderful place! I have been traveling to Lecanto for over 20 years and have stayed in literally dozens of properties. The Down-Under was the pinnacle of all those experiences. The host was, by far, the most professional, accommodating, and caring I have dealt with. The house was exquisite - just as described, perfect location, amenities to spare. Everything was flawless upon arrival and the host was very helpful throughout my stay. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than I had hoped. I was visiting family in the area and I felt like I was at home. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked. Thank you for the joy and delight of staying at such a lovely spot. Exceptional in every way!

Just What we Needed!
The goal of our stay was to relax with no agenda and enjoy celebrating our 52nd anniversary! That is exactly what we did. The quiet peaceful setting was much needed and the beautiful decor so tastefully appointed made our stay even more comfortable. Getting in after dark was a little challenging since we could'nt see the address well, but we did it! Thanks to our gracious hosts for providing such a lovely place to rest and restore. We loved all the restaurant recommendations. We would definitely suggest this lovely place to friends and family.
Now back to running our business!

All you need for a quite respite
We were looking for a nice location that was quite as we had been in the Keys, Miami and the to the Daytona 500. This was perfect. The house was quite and located away from it all but yet only a few miles away from everything
The property was full of personal touches and gestures. Perfect space to be extremely comfortable for the two of us.

Linda provided peaceful decor with a touch of humor. The extras—including grapefruit from their property—were so thoughtful. A short drive would bring us to the beach, manatees and exquisite sunsets! While searching for a get a way to the Crystal River area we found "The Down Under" and booked it for a week. As soon as we walked thru the door we knew we had found a great place for us. Everything was as advertised, it was clean, it's private, and it was the perfect size for the two of us. It is in a great location to access everything in the area. After letting us settle in the owner contacted us to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction and to let us know that if we needed anything to contact them.

Relax and Unwind at the Down-Under
Visiting from St. Augustine, we chose the Down-Under as our retreat as it is centrally located from Crystal River and the Citrus Wildlife Conservation area. Celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary, the Down-Under was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed cooking dinner one night in the little kitchen, cuddling up on the comfortable couch, playing the Wii while waiting for the rain to pass, and getting to sleep in (which we never get to do having a 20 month old). Only suggestions I would offer are to supply measuring spoons in the kitchen supplies and extra batteries as all of the Wii remotes were dead. A sound machine in the bedroom would also be beneficial to help drown out the sound of walking upstairs as it woke us at 5 am on our last morning there. Overall, a wonderful stay and we hope to return to visit more of the springs in the area. Thank you for your hospitality and promptness to our needs while visiting your beautiful home.

Great vacation
This property is a gem in the woods, perfect for a couple . Lots of room, nicely decorated and we loved it. Location is near everything you need. The owners are friendly and respond guickly to any problem or guestion you may have. We will come back.

Apartment was lovely and Linda and her husband were extremely helpful during the stay. I could not recommend to stay with them enough.
Everything was clean and fresh and as I was there for a long period it was truly a home away from home and made the trip a lot easier!

Great Getaway
We had to book this place last minute and did not know what to expect. The place was nice and cozy. We couldn’t even tell there were people upstairs. It was in a great location as well, the grounds were beautiful. This place felt like being at home and we were sad to leave.

Rural hideway- close to everything.
This property was delightful! Things I check before I book: Plenty of seating, chairs and sofas have arms, bed has a head board, night stands, full kitchen, nice outdoor sitting area, good view. This rental had all of this plus more! Nicely decorated, open and spacious, plenty of room to have dinner with six friends. I loved it here, and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Apartment, Excellent Hosts
We had rented Down Under for about 9 weeks to provide employees working in the area a place to come home to every evening where they could relax and cook a real meal. Down Under was the perfect place. Three people rotated through the apartment and Linda made each of them feel at home, providing breakfast for their first morning, and plenty of spices and cookware for meal preparation. The apartment is spotless, well maintained, and roomy. Although the location is off the beaten path, safety was never an issue, and all three employees gave a 5-star review after their stay. We would recommend the Stevensons and their great hideaway to anyone wanting a base to explore Florida's Nature Coast and her nearby springs and rivers.

Attention to Details
We knew we had chosen the perfect spot for our stay with all the attention to details. It started way before we entered the property with Linda's prompt responses to questions I asked. Next were the detailed directions that were easy to follow. It continued when we arrived to find breakfast food to get us started the next morning and items in the bathroom that we might have forgotten. We met Linda the third morning we were here. She wanted to know what else we needed, including ideas of activities, directions, anything in the Treehouse. Her primary goal was to assist us in having the best vacation!
The location is perfect with quick access to many of the local towns. It is clean, comfy, and roomy. It felt like home to us.
The final attention to detail was on the morning we left. It was Valentine's Day. We found a special treat on our car. Tim and Linda didn't miss any opportunity to make this one special vacation! We would not hesitate to rent from them again.

Wonderful place perfect for what I needed.
Tim and Linda are wonderful people. They invited me out to kayak to Three sisters springs Enjoyed it so much. The house had everything needed. Really enjoyed the hanging swing on the patio. She went over and beyond expectations. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing!!!
I stayed here for about 3 months for a job, and I didn't want to leave! Extremely homey and warm (just like something straight out of HGTV). Linda and Tim are such wonderful people! They were always there to help whether it was a recommendation for the best river to kayak on or the best restaurants in town! I would give the TreeHouse an 11/10. Thank you, Linda and Tim :)
