This was a great and relaxing stay! The cottage had everything you could think of for a trip. The owners were exceptional and responsive. They made sure the cottage was cozy and thought of the needs of guests.

My husband and I very much enjoyed staying at Tim and Karen’s cabin and they communicated very well and made our stay very comfortable and cozy.

We've stayed at this property more than a handful of times! We love it and only stay here during our visit to the mountain! Such a clean/thoughtfully put together cabin!

We had a lovely time at the cottage . The location is located on a quiet lane, with plenty of privacy . We had a relaxing time, enjoying the fireplace and movies . The outdoor area was peaceful for reading and relaxing. The deck was perfect for our little dog, as it had a gate to keep her contained. The owner was very responsive,and helpful in our planning. We will be returning for another visit the next time we visit Idyllwild .

This is the cutest and funkiest 50's style Idyllwild cabin. It has been upgraded with nice amenities, you have it simple but very comfortable spending the weekend surrounded by nostalgia. It's seen a lot of use and wears it like a badge of honor. I do wish that the outdoor deck area was set up for sitting awhile because I didn't want to spend the entire time in the cabin. It is classic dark inside with the knotty pine board walls and ceilings during the day. I can't see sitting inside all day, didn't want to play tourist and leave to shop, didn't want to eat out, too old to hike Taquitz! We got some really nice doggie walks in but had to keep the dogs in the car or in the cabin while we were outside as the deck fencing doesn't go down to the deck and our little dogs both jumped and bolted so we had fun chasing them down when they discovered they could escape. All in all it was a nice weekend. Loved the general area but you better be ready to drive down a very steep hill to park next to the cabin. I don't think it's a good choice for people who aren't real ambulatory. But most of those cabins are like that with crazy steep stairways etc. Not much a view but you are in the mountains surrounded by trees and the ambiance of nature out of the hustle bustle of town. It is a very peaceful location.

Me and my husband and are dog loved it . I was up to recover from throat cancer and to beat the heat of Palm desert we had a nice relaxing time here. The owners our management of the property were good in answering and questions we had and also very helpful .Everything you need is there just like home the front patio has a little gate for your small ones our a small dogs . The only thing I could say if your a senior with a cane it can be a little bit of a challenge for everyday walking. And the parking is steep for most cars to park near the cabin . but there is parking up a little hill just becareful of loose gravel when going up our down . Happy trails .

Cabin was cozy, comfortable and stocked with everything I needed, such as cookware, bedding and towels. The tv was easy to use and I liked the location away from the weekend hubbub and crowds. Backing down the driveway was a bit of a challenge initially, but once I did it I knew the layout. It was a lovely weekend! TY!

We really enjoyed our stay here. My littles especially loved the loft area they called their tree house! So much so they decided to sleep up there leaving Mama and Papa the bed to themselves..a real treat 😉. It was five minute drive to the most idyllic little village where we enjoyed delicious food. We really just enjoyed lounging about the cabin or sitting on the porch watching my girls play outside. Everything was labeled and clean. We had everything we could possibly need. Except for the key safe not opening in the beginning…. Host got back to us right away about the spare and our car getting stuck on the driveway. I strongly suggest everyone just park up top of the driveway we had an absolutely awesome time!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for me and my boyfriend’s romantic getaway. Every little detail is so thoroughly thought through by the hosts to make your stay wonderful and cozy. The cabin was the perfect size, had a full kitchen, laundry, very comfortable bed, beautiful front deck- all the amenities you can wish for. The location of it was also perfect- just a 5 min drive from the town. We went on hikes (plenty of those around), had our morning coffee on the deck watching the squirrels and the birds, watched Netflix in the evenings-super relaxing times. Could not have imagined a more perfect place for a getaway. Thank you so much, Tim and Karen. (We reaaaally didn’t want to leave)

Cabin was great overall. Steep dirt driveway was difficult to navigate. Smelly plug in air freshener wasn’t needed. I didn’t pay attention when the description stated smart TV with apps and Netflix. I assumed it included actual TV stations but it doesn’t. No cable so if someone wants TV this is not the cabin for you. Bed was very comfortable and cabin was very clean. Nice private location.

We so enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Lazy Gnome! Although small, or family of three had plenty of space. We loved the retro appliances, everything worked great.

My family and I were at The Lazy Gnome cabin for New Year and enjoyed our stay a lot. Tim was a great help and answered his phone right away to help us out, which is really appreciated. The cabin was clean and occupied with all necessities. Long story short, everything was in order and we will definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cabin. It was amazing. The cabin is well equipped with all cooking utensils and we used the grill outside. The weather was cool enough to have a fire one night with the wood provided. We enjoyed hiking in the area and exploring Idyllwild. Lots of interesting shops and great brewery too. Will definitely stay here again.

A little warm in the summer because ac units are not very effective but probably perfect any other time. It was clean and cute.
