Beautiful house at the top of the mountain. Very handy Maggie Valley and Waynesville for skiing, shopping and eating out. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking as well.
We had a great stay and would rent again.

Pros: Vickie replied quickly to every query, both prior to booking and during our stay. Photos and property description are accurate. Secluded - there are a couple cabins in close proximity, but we only saw one car there in 5 days. The views off the porch overlooking the valley are wonderful. The cabin’s fox theme was cute - young children could make a game of counting all the foxes they can find while you unpack! The town of Waynesville is lovely. Great location: We enjoyed skiing at Cataloochee ski area (so close!), Anakeesta theme park in Gatlinburg, and Well Played board game cafe in Asheville, among other nearby adventures. Fireplace was very nice.
Cons: Upon our arrival, we found evidence of a critter having been in a kitchen drawer. Vickie was very apologetic and said her cleaner would rectify the situation, which was apparently due to the prior guests having left trash at the house. (No trash removal there, so you must take your trash with you). We found a bottle of shampoo and conditioner in a drawer for us to share between the two bathrooms, but we’d expected those amenities to be set out, per the property’s description. The upstairs bathroom held a nice set of white bath towels, but the towels and bathmats downstairs were quite worn. We enjoyed the hot tub, but the massage jets did not work. Overall, though, a nice stay thoroughly enjoyed by my whole family.

The location and home are lovely but the overall stay was just okay. I did not receive an email with the code for the door to enter. I attempted to contact the host a couple of times before we arrived but eventually had to call VRBO to get it resolved. Upon arrival, the driveway, porch, and fire pit area were covered in leaves. Yes, it’s Fall and leaves will drop but it was not very welcoming or a good first impression. The interior of the home is in need of a “refresh.” The furniture and mattresses have seen better days. Also, it desperately needs a deep clean (cobwebs and dust). The listing states that paper products are included but there was 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom with no extra which required another trip to the store. Lastly, you are instructed to take your garbage to a collection site upon departure but they are not open on Sunday. We ended up placing it in a dumpster at a local business which was very inconvenient and illegal. We did not feel it was worth the overall expense.

What an amazing stay! We go to the Great Smoky mountains every fall and absolutely loved our time here! The cabin is a perfect spot because you are close to pretty much anything you might want to visit in the area! The deck is sutuated so you get to watch the sunrise come up from behind the mountain every morning and it is absolutely breath taking! Everything you need is provided! What an amazing hostess! We came to just BE and that is exactly what we did! Ingles grocery is a short distance and i highly recommend picking up some Raimbow Trout to throw on the grill! Cabin is very clean! We grilled, had fires in the fire pit, and relaxed in the jacuzzi! I highly recommend this property and although we usually stay different places every time we go to the mountains we would definitely consider returning to Vickies property! You cant go wrong with this one! Thank you so muxh Vuckie for sharing your home with us! We made some beautiful memories here!

This was a comfortable cabin with lovely mountain views. The cabin was very clean, the beds and furnishings were comfortable and it was well maintained. The cabin was very quiet and private with just one neighbor across the way. Just a note that most of the jets in the hot tub don't work, but the water does get nice and warm. Also, the cabin really needs curtains in the bedrooms as the sun rises on that side and the rooms are very bright in the morning. Overall we enjoyed this stay.

First time cabin renters and loved it! Homey / well equipped Cabin with great views! Everything was very clean upon arrival. Description of cabin matched perfectly. The porch, hot tub and fire-pit were very much enjoyed! We loved cooking and eating together out on the covered porch. Cabin is also in great location. Far enough for the secluded mountain feel, but close enough to town to go out and explore. My group of friends & I came up and hopefully plan to make this an annual trip!

The views from the porch were exceptional. We especially enjoyed watching the clouds below passing through the valley as we drank our coffee. Town is close by but we spent most of our time in your beautiful cabin. We brought fire wood but didn't use it and left it for the next family. Everything was spotless when we arrived. This was a very relaxing vacation. Exactly what we were looking for. thank you for the use of your cabin. We have used VRBO several times and this was our best experience.

Exactly what we were looking for, away from the hustle yet close enough to take in all sights. The view from the front porch is amazing. The entire property is well maintained and clean. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Overall the stay was okay. Seemed like the cabin had not been cleaned in a while. Lots of dust and mouse droppings. The views from the balcony were obstructed by overgrown trees. The gravel driveway needs some work near the cabin. Lots of overgrown weeds around the cabin. The trash process was inconvenient. We probably won’t return.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin. We stayed for spring break with family (teens). We really enjoyed hiking and visiting the Biltmore Estate (about an hour away), and evenings in the hot tub. Only downside is having to take trash in the car to dumpster. We would stay here again!

This property has both excellent indoor and outdoor amenities. The view is absolutely stunning! My group stayed in for a lot of our stay and we were thrilled to have a full kitchen with a charcoal grill. Vickie was very responsive and kind!

This property was perfect for my boys’ first ski weekend at Maggie Valley. We had different levels of ability and desire to be on the mountain and we were close enough to accommodate everyone and spend some wonderful quality time together. This cabin is stocked with all the comforts of home! We even made homemade waffles in the waffle iron for breakfast while listening to Google play music. We will definitely be making this a regular destination. Vickie was wonderful and so accommodating.

Very nice property (Xmas decorations were a very nice touch). Views were beautiful and directions to the property were good. We would have loved snow but it was not to be this year. Had fun hiking, playing cards & games and exploring Waynesville. Struggled a bit with the TV…but overall a very nice property and we had a great time. 4 1/2 stars

We couldn't be happier with our stay here. The cabin was very well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches, super cozy and central to everything. Our stay was near Christmas and our gracious host went the extra mile to tastefully decorate the cabin for us. Absolutely wonderful - we'll definitely be back!

Wonderful location with a beautiful view!! It is close enough to be convenient while having that secluded mountain feel. This was our second stay here and we loved it both times. We especially enjoyed the fireplace on the cool nights. Everything is very clean and well organized. Vicky is a great host to work with which adds to the overall experience.

My wife and I stayed here and had a wonderful vacation. Close to everything we wanted/needed, but far away enough to feel relaxed. The cabin had everything necessary. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Sunrise view was awesome. We’ll be back!

Beautiful view from the porch, great location and plenty to see and do within driving distance. The hot tub was great under the stars. The only complaints during our stay was the low water pressure when taking showers. The cabin was dusty in areas and and the fact that we could not watch Sunday Night Football with the current Dish package was a little disappointing. Overall it was a good stay!

This was a lovely home with a great view. The furnishings were comfortable and the porch was exceptional, even on the rainy days. We had planned to use the spa after our hikes but it was quite cloudy and looked as if it needed some maintenance. The Teflon cookware needs to be replaced as it is quite scratched. Otherwise, the kitchen is well stocked. Be sure to bring extra trash bags, paper towels and dishwasher detergent. The beginning supplies are furnished. Overall, an exceptional rental and a great place to unwind and relax! Thanks for sharing this home with a great view.

Beautiful view! Perfect cabin for a nice family getaway! We had a great time enjoying the many amenities available. Saw some deers and wild turkeys close by. The hot tub was a plus especially for the kiddos! Cabin was very clean and easy to get to. Very centrally located with easy access to get to other cool towns such as, ashville, gatlinburg and cherokee. Host Vickey was very nice and helpful with everything we needed! If we ever return to Maggie valley we would definitely book this cabin and recommend anyone to stay in this beautiful cabin. It was like home away from home. We were sad to leave, and hope to return one day!

Wonderful Waynesville Weekend
This cabin was perfect for our long weekend in the mountains. The property was exactly as listed and had a fully stocked kitchen for any meals. It was clean and well-maintained. The hot tub was wonderful and we also enjoyed the porch and its amazing views. The cabin was also within 30 minutes to shops, restaurants and attractions. If I could give 4.5 stars I would but there was one issue that kept me from rating this property a 5. The water pressure was terrible. There were two full baths, but two people could not shower at the same time. There were 6 of us and that made for a long time to get ready. The upstairs shower water pressure was bad even when the downstairs shower was off. That was our only complaint. One more thing as a FYI…the garbage drop off places are closed on Sunday so if you are leaving on a Sunday, this could be problematic. If we had known this, we would have paid the $5 per bag fee for housekeeping to haul off. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
