it was great. one suggestion to all VRBO owners. Please only use unscented, no dyes laundry detergent. I am allergic to dyes and it was not pleasant to be smelling the sheets with dyes and artificial scents. otherewise THANK YOU

Good location close to restaurants, stores, White Water rafting, Baxter State Park, Katahdin Air. Had a great time hiking, whiter water rafting, scenic float plane ride, pontoon boat wildlife tour (saw a moose) at NEOC.' Great pizza at NEOC wood fired pizza oven. House was clean and spacious.

It was very comfortable and well stocked with pots/pans/dishes, along with some spices. Plenty of beds and space to gather.

This is our third time at this property. It’s fantastic and we will be back in the future.

The house was great and it was clean and in a nice location, the trailhead was just a short trip down the road. The trails had closed the day we got there and had to trailer to another location further north. Holly and Cali were great to deal with and very accommodating ! We will be back when the snow flies to go Snowmobiling in a few months.

Overall the property was what we expected. It is close to downtown which makes for a nice walk. The only disappointment was the pans for cooking.

Great snowmobile getaway! Trail 1block away. Close to fuel. We stayed 6 days and logged 1300 miles going in different areas each day. The garage held all 4 of our sleds with no problem. Could easily get 6 sleds in there keeping them out of the weather overnight.
The house had more than enough room for the 4 of us.
Highly recommend this house for a snowmobile getaway!

The location near the trails and intown amenities was great. Having a large garage to fit all of our sleds and an area to store gear was a plus too. Molly and Cali were willing to respond to my many questions. The house had all we needed to enjoy a snowmobile adventure during a stormy weekend. We all look forward to spending time there again!

This is a lovely place to stay. Prime location. Close to all manner of stores/necessity’s. More importantly, it’s close to nothing at all- the real reason we came.

A few buddies in me took a trip up to millinocket Maine for a rafting trip. The house was very big very clean while taking care of. The owner stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone. House was very spacious, plenty of parking to accommodate everyone.

We had an excellent stay in Millinocket. The house had a lot of space. We were greeted when we got there. That was huge since there was a small problem later in the week that required a service call. Everything was taken care of. Kitchen had everything we needed. The grocery store was also close if anything was needed. I highly recommend this property if you have the occasion to be in Millinocket Maine.

Comfortable stay in Millinocket
I would give this property 3.5 stars if that was an option. It was a little tricky to find at night which was when we arrived. The property manager wanted to meet up with us upon arrival to show us around the home. This was the first time a property owner or manager has ever met us in all prior vrbo experiences. She was a delightful lady, and we settled in well. The place itself is adequate but not luxurious by any means. The furniture is rather hodge podge, and the photos of the living room didn't match up with what was online. But everything other than the beds was comfortable. The mattresses seemed older because the upstairs one was very lumpy. Since Millinocket is basically the end of the AT, I assume most renters are there either to meet family members completing the trail or are AT "survivors" themselves. Anyone having slept in a tent for months would think these mattresses would suit the princess and the pea!
There is a mini-split HVAC unit in the kitchen area, and the property manager had set up a fan to circulate the cool air into the living room area. The bedrooms on the main floor were rather warm. The upstairs bedroom had a window unit so remained comfortable. I did have to reach out to the property manager about replacing some light bulbs so we could see in the upstairs bathroom. She told me where to find them, and I installed the new bulbs.
The house is a short walk to the small downtown area of Millinocket. However, during our visit very few places were open probably due to the national labor shortage or business affected by Covid. Baxter state park and Mt. Katahdin are the big draw here. Travelers need to know that Baxter is a VERY primitive park with little to no services.
Overall my family agreed that while this was a perfectly fine rental experience, we probably would make a different choice if we were to return to the Baxter state park area of Maine. But the residents of Millinocket are making the best of the post Covid fallout and the loss of their major employer, a paper mill that shut down 10+ years ago. I think this area of Maine has a definite future by capitalizing on it being the end of the AT.

Thumbs up!!
Have rented many vacation houses over the years and this place ranks among the best we've stayed. Spacious, but even better, the place had every amenity you'd have in your own home! Easy walk to many places in Millinocket and perfectly situated for rafting the Penobscot and accessing both the northern and southern entrances of Baxter Park. If our travels to us back here, here is where we'll stay!!
