What a fab place to stay when visiting Ella! Small (just 2 rooms) yet full of character. We had a tree growing through our room, and saw monkeys, a mongoose, and a giant squirrel just feet away. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, and put on a great traditional breakfast (bread, dhal, fruit, omelette / hoppers / pancakes, fresh juice). If you want somewhere that’s close enough to ‘Ella Strip’ to feel amongst things, yet far enough away to be peaceful, Jungle Face Inn is ideal. Standard price for a tuk tuk each way was 500 Rupees. Access from the road is via a few steps, but don’t let that put you off - it is well worth it.

Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, friendly hosts

I love it! The tree houses are big and comfortable, I even woke up earlier in the morning just to enjoy the fresh air in the jungle. The room is big enough and the washroom too, water is hot and AC is cooling. The owner and his son helped us for carrying our luggages up, so it was not an issue for us with the stairs.

There were monkeys jumping on the roof of our house during the night. The wifi was not working properly.

A lovely location in the trees a short distance from Ella. The staff here are very friendly - as is the dog Ruby! A great breakfast and a peaceful place to sit on a deckchair and listen to the sounds of the forest. Well worth staying at.

Lovely tree house just outside of Ella, run by a really welcoming and friendly family. Could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues - but it was great for our family.

Everything was great!! This was my favourite place during my trip to Sri Lanka. I wish I would have had more time here with the jungle sounds, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable room, and kind hosts.

Lovely, friendly host who would do anything for us. There are lots of stairs to get to the room, and the host carried our luggage up. He would organise Tuk tuks. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Room was lovely .. we felt like we were up in the trees, and sitting on the verandah we would watch monkeys, chipmunks, giant squirrels, hornbills and many more. The animals were not intrusive, but fun to watch. Great location because it was quiet but a very short tuk tuk ride to the town centre.

Jungle Face Inn is an amazingly well thought out space with clean rooms and excellent service from the staff who are more than happy to accommodate every request. Breakfast was huge and amazing. I would have to say its the best roti and pancakes we have had in our 12 days in Sri Lanka so far.

Lovely hosts. We stayed in the Nature Woodland accommodation. The room was great, nice views and a short tuk tuk ride into town. The hosts were so helpful, kind and fun. We ate dinner and breakfast here, both were really nice, very tasty homecooked curry for dinner. Would recommend for an authentic Sri Lankan hospitality experience.

There is nothing I dislike. If there has to be something, it is quite high up with lots of stairs, but the owners help you with it.

I loved this place .. Amazing family .. Nethmal is an amazing man . The room is super comfy.. the breakfast is very good with many items .. they are always up for whatever you need.. I strongly recommend this place and I will come back . .Ahmed from Egypt

Nothing to complain

The owners were nothing but forthcoming and helpful. Everything was handled with deliberate care, which really reflects in the architecture of the whole place. Very homy and comfortable. It is a bit outside of the city center but you get to live in the treetops amongst monkeys, beautiful!

Probably the best location I had a pleasure to visit during my stay in Sri Lanka. Located on the outskirts of Ella it offers beautiful contact with nature facing the jungle. The rooms are amazing and the family who runs the property more than helpful. Plus the breakfasts were fantastic. Definitely coming back!

it is a brand new structure very clean and worm. The breakfast prepared at moment with all fresh food was delicious too.

The place is beautiful with the center of Ella about 2 kms away. Our stay was extremely good. The room was clean and well-maintained. Mr.Karu, Nethmal and their family take care of everything. During our stay, I suffered from food poisoning, the hosts even arranged a hospital visit and also accompanied me. They also served healthy food.

Hi friends! Jungle Face Inn welcomed us very good even we got there late at night, they invited us for breakfast unexpectedly! Service was kind and the employees were very helpful, rooms were clean and tidy. For breakfast we could taste a wide variety of local products, how fortunate! We totally recommend this place to spend the night surrounded by nature!

The location and cleanness of the room

We LOVED the treehouse. It was perfect for our family of 5. It is a magical spot, right in the jungle. It was very comfortable and the staff were so welcoming. The breakfast was also amazing! We only spent one night but wish we had been able to stay longer. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

We slept so well in there! surrounded by the gentle noise of birds. The owner prepared us an early breakfast for our hike in the tea plantations. The place is like a caban in the woods!

The property is right by the green trees and it’s a very calming place. there was a tree going through our room and nature and trees are embedded in every aspect of this property. The breakfast is amazing and t host family is friendly.
