This was a wonderful spot and very nice accommodations. While our host lives in Athens, directions to and into the spacious apartment was easy. Public parking very close. We had some misunderstanding of pricing at first. Youili was in constant communication assuring all needs were met. Rethymno was a great central location . The town was great fun

From the very beginning Yiouli was a delight to communicate with and from booking, arriving, during the stay and when leaving she made it so easy for us. The apartment is just as described with comfortable beds, air conditioned bedrooms and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed having both an east and west facing balcony and watching the sun set over the sea each evening. The fact the apartment was so close to the old town meant we could each do our own thing and meet back for lunch before heading out again in the cooler evening. We flew into Chania airport and got the KTEL coach which takes you directly to Rethymno bus station costing only €8 each and from there it is less than a 5 minute walk to the apartment. There is also a supermarket close by and the cafe below so everything was easy without needing a car. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come again one day! Thank you Yiouli.

Whilst the location was perfect for exploring the old town, the property for us was very tired and in need of some re-decoration and minor repairs.Internet wasn’t in the property but accessed via the cafe below,as a result not very good.

Meine Freundin und ich waren eine Woche in dem hübschen Apartment, das ja eigentlich ein kleines Häuschen ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Wohnraum mit Küche ist modern und es fehlt nichts. Die Betten in den 2 Schlafzimmern sind sehr bequem und die Dachterasse ein Traum. Der einzige Kritikpunkt sind die alten Bäder, wobei es im Duschbad keinen Toilettensitz auf dem WC gibt. Aber es ist sauber. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist toll.

We spent a very happy holiday in „Sea View House“. Yiouli's apartment is perfectly equipped, clean and comfortable. Yiouli was very helpful when we had any questions. We felt well looked after. We enjoyed the view to the Fortezza as well as the wonderful sea view. There is a free car park just near the apartment (parking your car in Rethymno is not easy), and this adds to the convenience of this very nice apartment. Very close to the apartment is the old town and this was for us another bonus. Looks just like Venice. Countless small roads with countless shops and restaurants. Also the main bus station is just around the corner, so we took the bus to Knossos and back saving ourselves a long drive. Shopping for our meals at home was no problem. Everybody was extremely helpful and friendly. A small bakery is nearby with delicious pies and bread. On Saturdays there is a wonderful market just near the bus station. We enjoyed exploring the island in our rented car („Best Cars“, super Greek Co.). Roads were good and mainly an easy drive to all the places we went to. All in all a very successful holiday. We come again.

Sehr schönes Stadthaus, mittendrin und trotzdem ruhig. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung, ein Feriendomizil zum Wohlfühlen. Etwas schwer zu finden, da keine Hausnummer und Straßenbeschriftung zu finden ist.

As soon as we walking into this house we were really pleased with the overall impression. The lounge, dining and kitchen area was very spacious. We loved having 3 balconies. In the morning we would sit overlooking the pretty square and in the evening we would sit watching the sunset going down behind the mountain and sea! We loved being tucked away and yet within a few minutes we were in the town and the little Venetian harbour. The kitchen was very well stocked and had all the basics. The 2 bedrooms were comfortable with nice cotton linen and it was useful having 2 bathrooms. One on each floor. The lighting was good throughout and there was a lovely big comfy corner sofa to sit and relax at the end of a busy day sight seeing. We would certainly recommend this house and stay there again. We loved our walk in Mili gorge. Worth a trip either by car or the tour bus. Check out the Banana Cafe! There was only 2 of us and it would still be plenty big enough for 4. We would love to visit Rethymon again!

The home had everything we needed. Vicki was wonderful to work with. I loved the location. A nice smaller city between Heraklion and Chania. We would definitely recommend it.

The home offers space; light and air flow through a beautifully appointed home interior created by Vicky. Its location is perfect if you want to be separate from tourists and remain within walking distance of the major sites- especially Old Town. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough. Vicky and her father (who was sitting with his Greek friends at the cafe tables downstairs the second night we returned) love this home and extend their warm welcome while giving us all the room we need to have our own experience. Clean, well stocked with essentials, and quiet. We were three over seventy adults- a couple and a friend.

Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war schnell und unkompliziert. Die Lage ist sehr gut, weil man nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß braucht, um in die Altstadt zu kommen, aber trotzdem das Auto wohnungsnah parken kann. Der Blick ist super, eigentlich schöner als auf den Bildern. Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt und komfortabel.

The town of Rethymno is a real gem, our favorite on Crete that we have been visiting for years. To be on the edge of the old town was a real plus. No vehicle required: walk everywhere. Vicky's father greeted us to give a brief run-through of the property, left us with some fruit, some olive oil and bottle of raki. The house has balconies galore. Choose the time of day to follow (or evade) the sun. One balcony overlooks a pleasant square with a few cafes/restaurants as well as the main police station. The other balconies overlook the sea and the Fortezza. Dazzling! The kitchen is very well equipped and wants for nothing. The bathrooms fell a bit short of expectation but they are adequate. Just adequate. After 4 or 5 days, somebody came in to clean up. Vicky's recommendations for good restaurants were well received. With food this good in Rethymno at reasonable cost, there was really no need to cook at home - save for breakfast. We definitely would recommend this house for folks seeking an urban experience on Crete.

The apartment itself was comfortable, the best beds and pillows we had on this trip! She provided plenty of extras like wine, toilet paper, napkins, laundry soap, even shampoo, soap and other bathroom necessities. It was walking distance from all the shops in town, but right on the edge of the ocean so that you were removed from the noise. Plus the balcony is a great spot to watch the sunset! Highly recommended.

This was one of the best holiday apartments we stayed in ever. And believe me, we are traveling a lot and normally choose holiday apartments. Here just everything was right: The flat is very nice and spacious, has all the amenities you could want, has a total of 3 balconies/terraces, is in a superb location, the home owner and her father are very nice people...The flat is exactly as shown on the photos, modern, spacious, confortable, and very well equipped. There was everything you would ever be able to need during vacation (and more). A highlight is the roof terrace from where you see the sea and can admire the sunsets. But there is also an other balcony overlooking the very nice square in front of the house with a bar below. On that balcony we also did sit from time to time. (there is also a third balcony, which you are less likely to use... just too many balconies ;-)Then the location: Rethymno is a very nice town, but it has kind of two ends, it has a very touristy beach region (where actually we only ever drove through), then it has its old quarters that are about 30 % invaded by tourists but 70 % not. And we were in the 70 % were tourists only seldomly venture to. So you get nice bars that are filled with locals, you get a market every saturday to stock on vegetables... This is a wonderful property that we would recommend to friends. Clean, central and comfortable, it had good kitchen facilities, great terrace overlooking the ocean, comfortable beds and sitting room, friendly manager relations (even after we locked ourselves out on the last morning) and close to excellent restaurants and attractions.
