We visited our 20-something College kids and some of their friends in Denver for a show. This home was in a great location for bars, restaurants, and the concert venue (Mission Ballroom). The RiNo arts district was within a few blocks and the kids were able to walk or Uber easily to the entertainment areas. Heads up - this is in the heart of the downtown Denver and there were definitely signs of the homeless community within a few blocks of the house, but the two car garage gave us ample secure parking space. We felt completely safe walking in the historic neighborhood and the rooftop patio views were incredible. This is a charming home that more than met our needs. Beds are comfortable and the sleeping arrangements included extra beds in the same room, which worked great for our group. The master bathroom has a massive soaking tub and both showers were spacious and had great water pressure. On this trip we didn't plan to do much cooking, so the kitchen supplies were adequate. If you plan to cook for much of your stay, or have a larger group, the dishes and cookware were mismatched and a little hodge podge. We made do, but it would have been a challenge if planning to cook multiple meals at the home. On the plus side, the gas grill was a great addition and we enjoyed the ability to grill out. Overall: great stay, lovely neighborhood, very responsive homeowner, and a memorable trip with our kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Entire space was enjoyed. Common area was very nice and spacious. High ceilings and heated floor on 2nd floor master bath were appreciated. The roof deck would be very nice in appropriate weather. We are very comfortable recommending this home for guest needing 2 to 3 bedrooms and wanting a wanting assurance of quality accommodations. Location is great for walking to very good restaurants and bars. Garage for car was great, especially after considerable snowfall.

I rented this place with my friends and family to explore Denver over a long weekend. This stay was in an excellent location for us to go explore the city on foot as well as with a quick drive. Highly recommend this place and host!

We spent a few days at the property while we attended some baseball games. The location of the house was great to reach the ballpark and other restaurants/attractions.
We had a small mix up at the time we arrived but the owner cleared it up immediately and we were very pleased with our stay.
That rooftop patio was a great place to sip a beverage after a long day in the heat!!

We spent a few days at the property while we attended some baseball games. The location of the house was great to reach the ballpark and other restaurants/attractions.
We had a small mix up at the time we arrived but the owner cleared it up immediately and we were very pleased with our stay.
That rooftop patio was a great place to sip a beverage after a long day in the heat!!

Enjoyed our stay
The house was spacious and generally as advertised. We loved the easy access to Larimer Street and all of the brewpubs, restaurants, etc. I would have preferred a window covering on the large slider leading from the kitchen to the patio.
Also, it is a transitional area so may not be the best for everyone.

Perfect location
This property was in the perfect location. The house was spacious and clean. The roof top patio was perfect. Short walks to all the great breweries in the neighborhood. I have been traveling with the same group of guys for the last twenty five years and this was one of our best trips. Owner John was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property.

Will Stay Here Again
I knew our visit would be great just by the responsiveness of John. Always got back to me super quick and was very accommodating. The property exceeded expectations given past experiences with questionable pictures. Everything was spot on and accurate. The main room is really a superb place for a group to hang out, lot's of room in living and kitchen. The rooftop deck was amazing as well. But the real amazing feature of this house is the location. Walk 2 blocks to amazing restaurants! I could have have had every meal in Central Market there are so many options. Amazing place.

It is what it is...
I feel like this property is over-rated in VRBO compared to what it actually is, and I am hoping that this review is appreciated by potential renters, and also understood by the property owner. I am simply trying to very accurately summarize the good and the bad with this property.
Let's start with the pros:
- The house is pretty large, so it does accommodate a good amount of guests pretty comfortably in terms of space.
- There is a lot of restaurants and a good amount of nightlife on Larimer Street.
- Garage parking was great.
- John's communication was great.
On to the cons:
- This area of Denver is clearly in "transition." You will not feel as though this is a super safe area. ONLY walk down towards Larimer Street. DO NOT walk up from the house, or you are in an area that you do not want to be in. We drove to the Safeway that was about a mile away and it was terrible. Clear drug (meth, heroin, etc.) problem. As we left the store, a huge fight broke out in the parking lot and someone was pinned down with a gun being kicked away from him. In addition, when we pulled up to the garage, there was someone sleeping in the alley right next to the garage. They didn't bother us, but made for an uncomfortable feeling. There was abandoned mattresses in the alley as well and it was just grungy. The front of the house felt better, but you couldn't park there over night.
-There is no AC in the upstairs master bedroom. It was ridiculously hot up there and made for very uncomfortable sleeping.
- Furniture needs cleaning and updating. There are stains on the dining chairs and the couches are not comfortable at all really.
- Rooftop decks are awesome, but there is very limited furniture (6 chairs and a table, one lounger that is rotted and unusable)on them and no opportunity for shade. Again, we were there when it was warm and it was basically unbearable.
- Pretty uncomfortable beds overall. Very soft and need to be reinforced.
- No papertowels, sponges, etc. Pretty well stocked, but not the necessities.
All in all, I rate this a three star, although 2.5 is more of where I see it. I wouldn't stay there again, but if you have a large group, your choices are fairly limited. Just know that you are getting what you get, nothing nice, but something that is mostly functional.
