My husband, parents, 2 pups and I stayed in this beautiful home. My parents stayed a week, while we stayed 2. It's the perfect home to spread out, explore the area, and enjoy the sounds of nature and pure peace.
The home was clean, decorated beautifully, and had many special touches like fresh cut flowers in vases, and a lovely gift card for a free pie from a local bakery. The bakery was delicious! The outdoor decks were perfect to sit out on day or night, with the string lights for a beautiful ambiance.
The home is right near the Pemaquid Lighthouse and walking distance to Pemaquid Seafood. We explored everything within an hour of the home including Freeport, Camden, Mt. Bettie, Rockland, Boothbay Harbor, New Harbor, and of course Damariscotta- the nearest town from the home. The whole area is a dream! So much shopping at lovely boutiques and great restaurants all around. We loved visiting Pemaquid Beach and being surrounded by water wherever we went.
We especially loved that this home is dog friendly, as we never leave home without them.
Dan and his family are great hosts, and he was always responsive with questions when I had them. We travel all over the country and can honestly say this was one of the best rentals! There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies- which many homes lack. They thought of everything!
We would definitely recommend staying in this unique home, without a doubt, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to stay.

The home was all that we hoped for and more. It was beautifully appointed, the beds were comfy and the kitchen lacked nothing. I loved watering the flowers in the morning and reading on the decks. The beach was my favorite. We swam almost every day!! I hope we can continue to come for many years.

Lovely home
What a beautiful little house— has every you need and more. Large windows and ceiling fans for a cool, airy feel. On the corner of a small unpaved lane for nice walks. Very convenient to all of the coastal beauty of the peninsula.

Fabulous home for us!
It had everything we needed and more. Beautifully decorated. Wonderful extra paper supplies and other listed amenities. Close to the beach (8 min. drive.) and many wonderful places on this peninsula. Clean! Comfortable! Many towels, beach towels, blankets. Quiet and we enjoyed the decks. Would love to return. Laura, the rental agent, could not have been more helpful from beginning to end.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of the quick responses from the owners. We loved the location. The house met our needs but was mostly missing a large area to sit down and eat together. We found that difficult with the amount of kids and adults we had. The garden shed had lots of extras if you needed it.

Great Pemaquid vacation
Stayed for a week with family and dog. Home is beautifully renovated and has everything you’ll need for your stay. Plan on returning next summer.

The Cottage.
Outstanding location and the home was well done, clean, and had high-end products in the kitchen. The owners also had the place well stocked with cleaning supplies and everyday items. Laura the manger gave us a ton of great locations to visit.

Lovely House
The house and surrounding area were great for our family and dog. Pretty close to everything. The tennis court nearby also was a plus. The house met all of our needs. Had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful!
We loved the beautiful house and decks to sit out on. Wonderful area to explore on bikes or car and on foot. Really beautiful property with pretty vases of flowers put out for us and even a delicious blueberry tart on arrival -- thank you!

A cozy, well-stocked home, with comfortable beds in a suburban enclave that places you a not-too-far drive from many mid-coast attractions.
There was a little mix-up around our check-in and the owners handled the situation so swiftly and with such concern for us, that I'd have no reservation about returning to this house or renting one of their other properties.

Family get together
Nicely equipped home in a great location on Mid Coast. All you need for a great Maine vacation. Near New Harbor, Pemaquid lighthouse, Round Pound, good hiking trails and good Maine Restaurants. Monday jam sessions at King Ro in Round pound are fun. Host is very quick to respond.

Wonderful experience with 5 of my family members and dog. So close to many activities, and the hosts were very helpful. It was very peaceful, clean, and we felt at home away from home!

Great family getaway!
We had a fantastic vacation in Pemaquid, Maine. The house was very cozy and had all the amenities (except A/C) but the ceiling fans were perfect and it cools down overnight. There was even bug spray, umbrella, 4 bicycles, tennis rackets, extra towels for the beach, soap for laundry etc. The house was also perfectly situated to be able to visit all the tourists attractions (most were a 10min drive). There was a book written by the owners that explained which places that are worth while visiting, where to find groceries, where to eat, where to go with your dog etc. I totally appreciated this as I did not have time to investigate much prior to our arrival. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

Charming Maine coast cottage
This is a spacious, charming, and comfortable cottage with lovely grounds and a large deck out back. Although not on the water, it is a short drive to Pemaquid Beach, a large sandy swimming beach, and a walk to Pemaquid Seafood where you can watch the harbor while eating delicious lobster, as well being close to New Harbor, South Bristol, and Round Pond, all worthy of exploration. We’ve rented cottages all over New England, but Laura tops everyone for being such a dream to work with. She is relaxed, friendly, honest, and assiduous about answering all questions about the property by email.

A lovely and comfortable property!
This house was beautifully positioned for us, between the Pemaquid Lighthouse and Damariscotta, as well as being so very close to the Pemaquid lobster co-op, which was wonderful (lobsters, clams, oysters, and more!). The interior was spacious and welcoming, providing an ideal place for a large family reunion (with some in other lodgings, but this was a great gathering spot). Wonderful place for a memorable vacation!

My "happy place"
This is our second time renting this beautiful home! It is so nice to just drive up and be ready to relax. They provide bedding, beach chairs, towels ..even a tennis court ! ...and all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. There is always a bottle of wine and a Maine blueberry pie to enjoy upon your arrival. They are even pup friendly. I love the open lay out and the 2 separate living areas where kids and adults can spread out. My favorite things are bowls of coffee on the big deck and wine in the evening on the wine deck(as we have come to call it! ). Great area to walk with beautiful views of the bay and 10 minutes from the beach and light house, lobster pound, golf and a great little wine store! I never want to leave!! Hosts are very gracious and very easy to deal with. Love this place!!

Truly One of My Favorite Retreats
This is my 3rd or 4th time renting this wonderful Mansurd -roofed home. Just puling up to it makes me feel happy. There are two outdoor venues for enjoying eating out as well as relaxing quietly and just smelling the tuber roses. Just up the path is a tennis court for your use. Unlike feeling like an old cabin, this is a shabby-chic rental that is bright with every piece of upholstery having comfortability but not stuffy. My grandchildren ages 2 1/2 and almost 5 froliced indoors and outdoors for one week. We just love the whole area! Hope to return soon.

Comfort, comfort and more
My wife and I, our son and his wife and our two grandchildren spent a week at the Victorian cottage. It was perfect for us. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom up stairs for the kids and a bedroom with full bath downstairs for us and Max our dog. The place was spotless. There's a well appointed kitchen with an attached sitting room that was so comfortable that we spent most of our time there when not out exploring. There are two decks for sitting, eating and cocktails. The owner's notes on what to do and see were extremely helpful. The "must do's" were right on: Lighthouse, beach, Pemaquid Coop for lobster (BYO), Red's for a Lobster roll that contains a whole, delicious lobster, and more. Most thing are close by. It was a great, comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring.

Charming, very comfortable, Victorian Mansard, every thing we could ask for and more!
We had a business trip and needed to be in the Pemaquid region in April and did not want to stay in a hotel and thought VRBO could offer some options for us. Because it was still quite early for the rental season, we thought it would be hard to find something charming and comfortable, but when we saw this Victorian Mansard (Listed as a year round home) in Pemaquid Harbor, we were thrilled. The owners were so so easy to work with and accommodated our crazy schedule, which was a concern as we were coming at an off season time of the year. When we arrived (late in the evening), the motion light came on for us (most helpful when arriving after dark) and everything was ready for us. We turned the heat up and within minutes were toasty warm. We prepared a quick dinner, watched a little TV, then fell into bed, (on a very comfortable mattress) in the downstairs master bedroom.
Because it was a working trip we did not spend as much time at the cottage as we would have liked, but enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast in the large, sunny country kitchen which was furnished with very comfortable seating. Even though it was just the 2 of us, we thought it was very cozy.
Things were not in bloom yet but could tell from the buds starting the burst on the shrubs, flowers and lilac trees, the natural landscaping would be beautiful.
The large outdoor deck (which you walk across to get to kitchen entrance) was surrounded by natural landscaping, granite rocks placed by nature, lattice with vines that were probably honeysuckle or climbing hydrangeas. We could tell it would be amazing when in bloom. (We were just too early this trip)
We hope to return to this lovely cottage and location, and when we do, we will be sure to take the time to enjoy the area which is a rare find!

Most Charming Cottage
My daughters stayed there, while we rented another house for the rest of the family. What a difference! At this Most Charming Cottage, we were welcomed with a pie, kind notes and then a thank you note afterwards! The rental agent is lovely to work with! The cottage was so precious, we enjoyed the outside porch so much, had many dinners there that held all 16 of us! This is a wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful, relaxing, clean
My family had a great Maine vacation in this house. The house is perfect size and can fit 6 people comfortably. It is located within a walking distance from the Pemaquid co-op. When we walked in a fresh pie and a bottle of wine were right on the table for us! The renting agent is very helpful and easy to deal with. We are looking forward to visiting again!

the perfect rental home
This is the perfect rental home – very private and serene, with lovely outdoor space and everything you could need for a comfortable stay (stocked kitchen, plenty of extra linens and towels, soap/shampoo, washer/dryer on second floor, bikes, local info from the owners). Great for kids… we had the tennis court basically to ourselves the entire stay; very close to a nice, sandy beach, kayaking, swimming hole, a few great playgrounds…
We wish we could have spent two weeks here, but definitely plan to return.
