Ian’s house was exactly as described in the VRBO listing. In fact, the outside deck is bigger than I expected. Nice, quiet location. Ian was a great host and recommended some hikes in the area. Parker Lake was beautiful, but we didn’t get to Fern Lake. We’ll have to do that hike next time. Thanks Ian!

A lovely and cozy cabin in the June Lake area. It is a windy road up to the location but Ian is so gracious and meets folks at the bottom to show them the way. The cabin was immaculately clean and was well appointed. If you have any issues at all Ian is very responsive to your question or your need. The region is filled with gorgeous lakes and water activities for the summer along with some beautiful hiking trails.

We loved our week at June Lake. Each day we hiked a new area close to the property. The house is beautifully constructed and has all you need.

Really nice accommodations with gorgeous views. Ian was super helpful and explained everything to us. Lots of steps both up to the home and up to the loft, which is something to be aware of. We had a wonderful time.

We loved the setting and Ian was very nice! The cabin was lovely, authentic, and warm. The location was perfection for our purposes. We hope to schedule a visit this year or next for our son & his girlfriend. We will not likely return because of the stairs to the bathroom at night. At my age, it is a harrowing experience. Further, we ran out of kleenex the 2nd day, and nearly ran out of toilet paper, having to use paper towels to make it last. The shower was frightening for two old farts like us, and claustrophobic w/the curtain closing in during the shower. There were not enough hand towels in the bath. I hate to say these things because we did love our week there over-all and we really liked Ian. We think our son and his girlfriend will have a glorious time there.

100% recommend coming here if you want to spend a few days away in the mountains. Highly recommend going hiking on the Fern / Yost Trailhead. It's a short hike and there's a great view of Silver lake and the waterfall not far in.

Ian was a wonderful host and the cabin was a delightful venue to enjoy the eastern Sierra mountains. We would come again in a heartbeat.

We fully enjoyed our 3days at this one bedroom log house at June Lake during Fall colors. Ian gave us a great briefing when we arrived, and even started up the fireplace for us. He was very friendly and answered all questions. He described options for eating places nearby. The house is very cozy inside, with a stairway up to the bedroom area and a small terrace outside the living room for sweeping mountain viewing. The owner, Ian, was even quick to arrange for unlocking our front door, even though he was away, when we had forgotten how to unlock it. The restaurant across the main road nearby, serves very good food and is very convenient! Nearby scenery at the lakes in June Lake Loop was fantastic. A great area to visit, a fine place to stay, and a friendly, helpful owner! We’ll worth a stay!

We went to June Lake for fall colors and this little cabin was the perfect setting! Wonderful deck, well appointed, cool vintage kitchen, and Ian was a great host. The bathroom being downstairs from loft bedroom was a little tricky for us boomers, but we just got in a few extra steps each night. (A handrail on both sides of the stairs would be helpful). Thanks Ian, we’ll be back!! R & B

The cabin was the perfect space for my wife and I and just a short drive from town. Extremely clean and well appointed with awesome views. Great hiking trails within walking distance, and just far enough out of town for peace and quiet. Ian met us to show us the way up the road and he’s a super sweet and informative host. He even gifted us a delicious Malbec for our stay. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a cute and cozy cabin. It was very clean and had everything you could want. Ian was great to deal with. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and it was close to several lakes.

Very well located in the June lake loop. Ian was very helpful and knew the area well enough to give one recommendation’s for places to eat and things to do in the area. About a 20 to 30 min drive to the east entrance to Yosemite. Good, moderately difficult, hiking in the area plus many good hikes just outside the park and just inside the park.

June Lake is a quiet find amidst the eastern sierras. We booked a last minute weekend for my birthday to get away, and Ian’s spot by chance was available. An incredible find! The pictures don’t do it justice. Solid log cabin feel, quiet and tucked away in the mountains with incredible Alpen glow sunset views from the deck. Very impressed and Ian is a solid host.

Ian is a helpful, attentive host and this is a lovely cabin in a stunning part of the Eastern Sierra. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

My fiancé has a stroke and we had to relocate our wedding. I was told by the owner I would “receive a full refund.” Three months later, I was called and told to meet him to pick up the keys. Then, after I reminded him that I called him in April and canceled because my fiancé (now husband) had a stroke, I was told I had to also contact Vrbo as well. In my distress, I never even thought of that since the owner told me I’d “receive a full refund” from Vrbo. Over a month later, and at least 6 phone calls of 30 minutes to an hour with different Vrbo representatives and managers…as well as getting disconnected twice with no one ever calling me back, I still have not received a refund. Unbelievable! I would look for a different property.

Everything about the cabin in the mountains was great. Ian made us feel right at home and provided a lot of very helpful information regarding things to do in the area. We would highly recommend Ian,s rental and look forward to the next time!

It had everything we needed to cook breakfast each morning. Nice comfortable bed upstairs. Great views of an amazing mountain from the front balcony too. Location was super close to everything we wanted to see and do. Ian gave us a great recommendation for hiking too. He lives in the big house next door so if you need anything at all he will bring it down for you. The resort down below has a nice restaurant that you can walk to. It was definitely convenient having it so close! I would highly recommend staying here.

The cabin was perfect for me and my husband. It’s in a beautiful setting that is just down the road from Silver Lake. We had a great time kayaking and exploring! Ian was very helpful and gave us some good suggestions of places to explore and where to eat.

The cabin was super lovely! Nice and secluded, very quiet and peaceful. All the amenities you could need (the laundry came in handy for us!). Ian gave us so many great recommendations as well. We hope we can come back soon!

This little log cabin was perfect for our 3 day getaway! It was clean, neat, and decorated with antiques. We did have an issue with the internet, but you’re in the mountains! I called Ian and he answered right away and got it fixed. Ian is kind, patient, and very easy to get along with. Whenever we go back to June Lake, I would definitely rent the cozy cabin again.
