4 Adults traveled to Niagara Falls for the first time 10/7/23 to 10/12/23. The neighborhood is very quiet and well kept. The house is about a 5 min walk to see Lake Ontario. We got some awesome sunset pictures. The house is about 10 min or so from downtown NOTL. Cute shops and some restaurants. The house is about 20-25 min from Niagara Falls. Beware that most everything closes around 6p anywhere we went which we didn’t know. The house is clean and spacious. Only 1 TV in the house (living room). Adequate amount of dishes, plates, silverware to use while we were there. Note: while we were here the dishwasher was broken (not a big deal for us). We did use the grill and it worked fine. The bed and pillows were ok. The bathrooms were ok - there is 1 small one and 1 large one. No carpet in the house which made keep the floors clean easy. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dish soaps etc. we used the washer and dryer and brought our own laundry stuff. Things that we think the owners could improve on, but don’t affect us: the outside of the house could use some updating such as paint, gardening etc. This property was nice for what we needed. I would recommend and stay here again if we ever decide to come to the area again.

The cottage was perfect for our needs. We loved walking to Lake Ontario. Close to all amenities. Very quiet.

The cottage had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Loved the location and could easily walk to downtown NOTL which is beautiful, the flowers that are everywhere were stunning.

The cottage is homey but more spacious than I expected. The owners have thought of everything with bathrooms and kitchen being well stocked. The neighbourhood is very beautiful and a short walk to the lake and a small beach. You could walk into town (I think 2 1/2 km) or is a short drive to the main Street. We enjoyed staying there so much and plan to come back in the future.

This was our second visit to Niagara on the Lake and the first time staying at Hamlet Cottage. Everything was perfect and it's in a great location, about 4 or 5 minutes from everything. Couldn't ask for better. The place was spotlessly clean, well equipped, the communication with the owner was excellent and there is a nice gazebo in the garden, a great place to relax. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Great little house—two beds/two baths which was great for me and my traveling companion. A little far from town (about 1 1/2 miles) to walk back and forth a few times each day, especially with heat & humidity. Walk was great in early morning or early evening. Lots of cute shops/restaurants to check out. Play at the Shaw Festival was fabulous. Niagara on the Lake is quite charming and a nice get-away!

Very quiet neighborhood. Comfortable and safe place to stay. Lots of amenities nearby. Family enjoyed our stay. If we ever go back to the area would definitely book this place again.

My second stay at this property. It has a great location for visiting the area. Lots of local attraction brochures provided by the owners. We cooked in for our dinners and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Comfortable beds; quiet location; speedy responses from the unit owner prior to and during our stay. Highly reccommened and I'll try to return.

Truth be told this was our family's first experience with VRBO and I will never go back to hotels again. The property was just what we were looking for and the location was much better than expected. Walked to the lake to watch the sunset daily and enjoyed taking evening strolls up and down the neighboring streets. There is a fantastic bakery less than a mile down the road. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful area and we cannot wait to return! Thank you so much for such a wonderful and memorable holiday for my family and I.

We really enjoyed this property. It was very clean, a well stocked kitchen and linens. The location was great, a block from the lake and just a little over a mile from downtown in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were easy to work with and stopped by during our stay to see if everything was OK. If we were to return to this area we would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We wanted a place that was located near Niagara Falls as well as near the plentiful wineries. This was a perfect location. Bonuses included a short stroll down to Lake Ontario as well as an easy walk into Niagara-on-the-lake. We made one inquiry/question to our host while we were there and they were very responsive and accommodating. Definitely recommend this lovely Hamlet if you are looking for a convenient and perfectly located place.

The property is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, close to the lake and the Ryerson park. The cottage itself is cozy and gorgeous, with a lot of character. Beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and tidy. The sofas in the living room are comfortable and inviting. The hosts are charming and very attentive from the moment you book the property. They reply very quickly, and they take good care of the property and their guests. Thank you Peter and Debra! Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing getaway and lovely hosts, this is your property!

A wonderful experience. Perfect location a bit away from village. Made for great afternoon walks. Nice to visit beach in early morning and at night. Highly recommend.

Everything we needed or wanted.

We had a wonderful stay at Hamlet cottage. Peter and Debra were lovely hosts. The cottage is beautifully decorated, has all of amenities we needed and more , walking distance to the town, and very close to wineries and restaurants. One of our favourite things to do was was having a glass of wine by the fireplace. Thank you for opening your cottage to us. We will definitely come again. Michelle

This cottage had everything I could think of to make is a great stay. Kitchen well stocked. Each couple had their own full bathroom. A quick walk to Lake Ontario - quiet street. We had a lovely stay, and qould consider it again!

A great place for a retreat. We've stayed at the Hamlet Cottage five times over the last few years and have always found it to be comfortable and clean. The fireplace is a wonderful place to relax after a day exploring the region. The tasteful Christmas decorations were a wonderful surprise on our most recent visit and added to the cottage's charm.

Perfect rental. Cute accommodations making you feel like you are coming home at the endof the day. It was close to all ammenities, in a quiet area and within walking distance to waterfront. This was a lovely property, very clean, instructions were well explained - all the comforts of home. Area was great, although the weather and other commitments kept us from exploring area fully.
