Hauptsaison ist Juli bis Anfang September. Long Cove Point, eine kleine Halbinsel mit alten Cottages und weitreichender Aussicht, ist das klassische Maine. Das Anwesen liegt gegenüber einer kleinen Bucht mit einem großen flachen Vorgarten, der sich bis zur Bucht erstreckt. Die Aussicht von der vorderen Terrasse und dem Wintergarten umfasst die Bucht und die klassischen Cottages auf dem Festland sowie den Meerblick am Ende der Bucht. Die Rückseite des Anwesens ist privat mit einer separaten Terrasse, Picknicktisch und Wald. Dies ist immer ein beliebter Sommer Ort für Mieter und Eigentümer gleichermaßen, mit einem Verein Strand ein paar hundert Meter die Spur und in der Nähe von Pemaquid Peninsula Annehmlichkeiten und Attraktionen. Das Haus wurde komplett neu gebaut und Ende 2010 zum ersten Mal auf dem Mietmarkt angeboten. Sorgfältige Wartung und zusätzliche Verbesserungen / Annehmlichkeiten sorgen für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt jedes Jahr. Drei Schlafzimmer (zwei Schlafzimmer mit je einem Queensize-Bett; ein 10 x 10 bdrm. Mit 2 Einzelbetten, die für Kingsize-Bett zusammengestellt werden können), ein Futon im Wohnzimmer (für zwei), 3 Bäder (1 Badewanne / Handbrause, 2 Duschen) Kamin, voll ausgestattete Küche, drei große separate Wohn- und Sitzbereiche. Großbild-TV -DVD-Player, Bose CD-Player / Radio und Internet. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern oder zwei bis drei Paare. Zu den Veranstaltungen im Herbst 2017 gehören die Common Ground Country Fair (Bio, 22.-24. September), Boothbay Harborfest (1.-10. September) und Fryeburg Fair (1.-8. Oktober). From a fully stocked kitchen to common spaces to enjoy family, and spaces if you want to sit by yourself, this home has it all. The location gives one views of the tidal basin and the ocean beyond and the community is perfect for walking. New Harbor, Round Pond, Damariscotta, and the Pemaquid Lighthouse are short drives away. This is a lovely property.

Our family enjoyed every minute in this beautiful home. We love the area and rent on regular basis. This property has it all - clean, fully stocked kitchen/bathroom, beautiful views right by the water and a quiet neighborhood. We loved walking the cove, fishing, swimming and just chilling.

We had a wonderful time at the Chamberlain cottage. Mary Lynn was the host and if we had any questions or concerns she was quick to reply.
The cottage itself is very spacious and could easily accommodate the 5 of us. The kitchen is well stocked and she even had an assortment of spices which you rarely ever see at any other rentals. The location itself is beautiful with easy access to many other points of interest.
I would highly recommend staying here, which is why I gave it a 5 star overall rating.

What a beautiful home and property overlooking the cove and ocean. It was so mesmerizing seeing the cove during low and high tides with the seagulls and egrets enjoying their smorgasbord throughout the day. Home was well stocked and easy to relax in a comfortable environment with fabulous decor. Location was perfect for exploring the Mid Coast and meeting amazing, interesting people from the lobster docks and local towns. We found the restaurant and grocery store prices to be very reasonable for a vacation wonderland. Our host Mary Lynn was very sweet and a treasure trove of helpful information. Definitely a trip worth repeating. Thank you Mary Lynn for sharing your home and expertise of your area

We could sit all day in the living room watching the tides retreat and return. A beautiful home, with every convenience, and everything neatly marked and well organized. We love the layout with master bedroom quite separate from the other two bedrooms. The kitchen has everything one could need. Located on a point with barely any traffic, it is so quiet.

As in previous years, we throughly enjoyed our stay in Chamberlain. The house is at the perfect location with a lovely walk around the point. The house has all you need to be comfortable. We hope to return again.

Perfectly clean on arrival. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The kitchen is great. The living spaces are large and comfortable and the setting is quiet. Small sand beach 2 minute walk, 10 minute fun drive to village. We had a wonderful time and recommend this house to everyone. The owner is terrific.

A million dollar view
This house has such a lovely view of Long Cove and a beautiful walk all along the ocean. It is in a wonderful area where there is plenty to do but not as many tourists. We enjoyed our week on Long Pond Rd. The location and view are perfect. The house is bright, clean, inviting, and has everything for a comfortable stay. The walk around the point is lovely. We will return again.

Great Property on a quiet street
Great property on a quiet street (great for family walks and walking to the small beach up the road). Hosts are great at communicating and really welcoming. House includes all you need and some fun things for the kids (some toys and games). Plenty of space. Beautiful area.

Window Wonderful!

Chamberlain Vacation
This cottage has everything you will need to enjoy a vacation on the beautiful coast of Maine. The cottage is spacious and offers beautiful views of the ocean. It has a spacious kitchen and dining room and is kid friendly. There are plenty of fans to keep you cool on warm summer evenings. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cottage for families and couples alike.

Maine Getaway
We have stayed here before and love coming back! The location is wonderful and the kids love exploring the rocks and tidal pools just across the street. The home is large and comfortable with space for everyone.

Evidence of insect infestation. Many issues to include (but not all inclusive) no hot water in the kitchen, dirty utensils. Poor excuses and justifications given by the "Property Manager. Minimal attempt to make the situation "right."

Perfect seaside retreat
Our stay at the seaside cottage was extraordinary. The location of the cottage provided us with the perfect short walk around the point with stunning views of the ocean multiple times a day. The cottage was very comfortable with views of the inlet and ocean from just about anywhere in the front of the house. The cottage was In a quiet location with all the necessities needed for the perfect Maine seaside vacation. We will be returning.

Just terrific!
Wonderful house with two separate bedroom areas, and two separate but connected living room areas. The house has everything you need and the is in excellent condition.
Bottom line is we are already renting next season.

Incredible location!
A wonderful home for a family group with plenty of space to spread out into! The view from inside is just as incredible as the front yard view of the cove! Fun space in the back and sideyards also. A short ride to all the activities, and beautful scenic walks around the point!

Long Cove Cottage is great.

Perfect Mix of Old and New
Half old coastal cottage and half newly renovated vacation home, this was a great place to escape to. There were five of us, including two kids and my mother-in-law. There are three private bedrooms and space in some of the large common spaces for more folks to sleep, if needed. Lots of space and good light throughout. The views of the cove as the tide rolls in and out are ever-changing and beautiful. We walked the quiet roads around the cove area every morning and evening, went across the peninsula to the beach and historic site, down the peninsula to the lighthouse, and took the ferry out to Monhegan one day to wander around. We also spent a day over at the Botanical Garden of Coastal Maine near Boothbay, one of the finest gardens we've been to. The owners of the house have left clear and easy instructions on everything about the house and were wonderful and responsive. We don't get up to Maine every year, but we hope to return to this house in the future and recommend it highly.

Wonderful Home!
We stayed in this beautiful cottage for one month this summer! The owners were responsive and helpful throughout the whole rental process. The home is beautiful and very accommodating. We were not lacking for anything during our stay. It is also a great location for exploring the Pemaquid Peninsula. Highly recommend!

Wonderful vacation for 3-generation group; we loved it!
We spent our wonderful week here with our son and his wife and our 6 and 2 yr-old grandkids. The house is as beautiful and comfortable as the pictures portray; we were especially delighted with the front room with all the windows looking out to the water. The layout also worked very well for our 3-generation group; plenty of room to stretch out. The kitchen was well appointed and made it fun and easy to cook all our meals there. The location was perfect for us! Hours were spent on two sand beaches just a very short walk down the road; one got consumed by high tide but had wonderful fine sand for digging and castle building during low tide, and the house came with a great supply of beach toys! We spent several hours at the Rachel Carson Salt Pond Reserve less than a mile away, and found delightful hikes nearby. Harbor Bay is very close by with a good sized supermarket and boat cruise departures, including a Puffin cruise.
Lovely house, friendly neighborhood, beautiful views, so much to do but so relaxing; truly a memorable vacation for us all!

You'll Love It!
My four friends and I loved our stay in this cottage which has a great working kitchen, several locations to sit for a meal both inside and out, and plenty of sleeping and shower space. We walked the loop road several times a day to enjoy soft inlet water to crashing ocean waves and stars at night. Trips south to the Pemaquid Lighthouse and north to Round Pond and Damariscotta were within easy reach. We watched movies and listened to music on foggy days and sat out front for drinks on sunny Maine afternoons. I highly recommend this cottage. You'll love it, too. Rev. Carol Brink

Charm on Long Cove Point
My wife and I loved this cottage, which absolutely lived up to its billing. The house was immaculate and nicely renovated, with plenty of nooks and crannies for our two pre-school age children to explore, and spacious, easily accomodating our party of four with room for more if needed. There was a lovely lawn for them to play on and well back from the road so we felt secure about letting them run around without having to be constantly vigilant... although truth be told there's probably more foot and bike traffic than car traffic. The neighbors on both sides were friendly and an uncrowded (tidal) beach with sea creatures aplenty was a 5 minute walk away. There was great wi-fi although we tried to avoid using it - the only minus, if you consider it that, is that cel service is not great, but that's true of Pemaquid in general and we preferred feeling untethered from our jobs. Long Cove has amazing views in every direction and that relaxed, unhurried feeling that you remember from when you were a child and summer seemed to go on forever. We can't wait to go back.
