Beautiful view, easy drive, warm and cozy place. If we had issues they were resolved quickly. The cabin was where we spent the most valuable and memorable time in blue ridge.

Great cabin! Second time there and loved it as much as the first.

Great mountain views, close to town, and everything our family needs. 2nd to last cabin on the road and no thru-traffic. 4 visits and counting.

Andrew and Susan’s home was well-appointed, the kitchen had literally anything one could hope for. Beyond the basics!
The view is very nice. There is plenty of space in the home for more than our 3 person group. A big family would still have plenty of room.
The side den, the hermit den, was my favorite. Beautiful little nook with a huge tv and comfortable daybed.
*Do follow the directions you’re sent after reserving, GPS won’t get you the last few miles to the house.
There were areas with a lot of dust; hermit den lamp covered, kitchen ceiling light fixture, dead ladybugs and dust in sills of windows, dead bug by the bed on the main floor.
**The house IS clean**, but a couple of overlooked areas, and suspect there was just enough time between guests that the few bugs were not a big deal. You’re in the woods:). No live bugs in sight, even better!
The house was very close to everything in Blue Ridge, within a beautiful setting.
Andrew and Susan were very responsive and extremely helpful. Very lovely people.
I would stay here again.

Early Spring Week in Blue Ridge
We had a wonderful one week stay in mid-March. The cabin is very clean and so comfortable. Lots of different areas to sit and read, watch TV, enjoy the views, chat with friends. We had a variety of weather days, from sunny and warm to cold, rainy and windy. We enjoyed going into town to explore on the good weather days, and loved staying at the cabin to relax and read (and play ping pong!) on the bad weather days. The kitchen was well-stocked for when we wanted to eat in, but we also really enjoyed sampling the restaurants in town. (We recommend The Black Sheep and Harvest on Main.) The hosts were great with communication and provided a list of helpful information and instructions at the cabin. We highly recommend!

Cute and cozy
The pictures don’t do the interior of the cabin Justice. It’s cute, cozy and with great mountain decor. We enjoyed playing the board games. Andrew and Susan were very responsive to questions.

This location is absolutely perfect! We got to explore the area and the lake while also being in very close proximity of the town of Blue Ridge. It was great to get that true mountain feel while also being able to access all the wonderful Blue Ridge has to offer.

Great stay
We had a great stay. House was everything we needed- comfortable, pretty view, close to town, well stocked. Loved the location, the balconies and fit pit area. My adult kids loved the downstairs level. Saw many deer around the property, which we loved! Couldn’t figure out the microwave and the ice maker wasn’t working. Besides that, we loved it.

Spot-on!
The listing pictures and description gave an excellent and accurate impression of the property (NOT always the case with other listings!).
The house was great - very roomy with well-designed spaces. The stairs were "normal" vs steep (another issue we've had at other places).
The road getting to the property is narrow at points so definitely drive very slowly coming and going.
I highly recommend this property. In fact, I suspect we'll be back in the future!

Wonderful cabin, relaxating!
We had a wonderful stay. The location is absolutely perfect. The drive up to the cabin was beautiful. The moment you walk into the cabin you feel yourself relax. The beds were super comfortable. We had our adult children and doggies with us. It was very family friendly. Its a well-stocked cabin and has everything you need for cooking, etc. The property manager was super attentive, friendly and easy to get a hold of (I didn't read the instructions properly on getting there and had to call to get clarification!) Definitely will stay there again!

Convenient to downtown Blue Ridge.
The cabin is conveniently located to restaurants and downtown Blue Ridge. Roads to the cabin are a little rough as mountain roads are but do not require four wheel drive vehicles. Kitchen was well appointed with anything needed for preparing meals. Also, there is a standard coffeemaker as well as a Keurig.

We had a two night stay here recently with our family and some friends. Everyone was impressed with the property, location, and the views. The cabin is in great shape and is very well kept. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and working. The master suite was the entire upper level and was spacious and included a private screened in deck which was a nice bonus. The cable (satellite) and internet seemed fine and no issues. The kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the decks and around the fire pit and enjoying the views and the peaceful setting. One of our first impressions was how quiet it was at this property. We walked down to the lake a couple of times and there are walking trails nearby as well. The lake is a bit of a walk down the mountain but it was pleasant. The public boat launch is at the bottom of the mountain if you bring your own watercraft. Town was only ten minute drive away if needed supplies or food. The national forest is across the street and the location is somewhat remote but everyone still had 2-3 bars on their cell phones if needed to keep in touch with others back home. We had a couple of deer come through the property on one of the afternoons. We would definitely like to make it back to this property in the future. I am sure it is gorgeous in the fall with the fall foliage changes.

You can tell the owners take pride in their cabin. Very clean, well stocked and the location is great! The weather wasn't the best, however, since the cabin was so nice it was okay to be stuck inside for a couple of days. We were able to venture out a few times and the walking trails were great. The cabin was very close to the lake so the kids enjoyed that. On the last morning we saw nine (9) deer in the backyard. It was very cool. Overall we had a great experience and the owners were very responsive if we had any questions (which there were a couple ). We would definitely stay here again.

even better the 2nd time
close to town but feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, large property with great mountain views. more thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked than any property we've ever rented. they also continue to invest in the cabin, as we noticed several upgrades from last time including new tv's. we will be back.

Great location and with lots of space
The location was perfect about .5 mile to the lake down the mountain. There is a boat launch and a nice paved trail all in walking distance. About 10 mins to town as well and 5 mins to other trail heads. It was nice that the 3 rooms were all on different levels gave our family a little separation which is always good. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. Loved the little sitting room off the dinning room as well. My only complaint is that the beds in the bunk room were not all that comfortable, for an adult, for kids they would be just fine. My family really enjoyed the ping pong table. All the basement needs is a small fridge for beer behind the bar lol. Over all loved the place.

Amazing!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin over a long weekend in late October. The cabin was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable and the entire cabin was well stocked from the kitchen to the bookshelves. The view from the large windows was breathtaking. It was better than any pictures could show. In fact, there were beautiful views from every window and porch. Every appliance was clean and functioned well, including the laundry machines, dishwasher, very clean refrigerator, etc. We immediately felt at home and were very comfortable. There are ample comfortable beds throughout the cabin. We even were able to borrow some walking sticks from the porch for the various hikes that we did. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. The owner was very responsive to any messages or requests that we had. We would love to stay at this cabin again!

Wonderful; even on a rainy day!
This was the second time we stayed at this property in the fall, and everything was just wonderful. It rained most of the time, but the large covered porch is so comfortable and faces the mountains and beautiful trees, so we still spent most of our time on the porch since the weather was mild. The rain made no difference.
The home is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possible want. There are so many different, comfortable places to sit, and the open floor plan and extensive windows make it ever so bright and cheerful--even on a rainy day. No matter where you are, you are looking at a wonderful view.

This cabin was exactly what we needed: a retreat, a place to relax and recharge. The glorious views, combined with the cozy warmth of the home, were a perfect respite and a balm for the soul. We loved it.

Great location and beautiful house!
We visited this property in early October. The house was beautiful and just as described. Everything was very clean and the house had all amenities that we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. The location was private and we loved sitting outside and enjoying nature. It was a short walk to the lake and a short drive into town. Overall we had a great experience!

Great cabin stay
Loved the location by the lake, the cabin was great very large with a beautiful view. Enjoyed the fire pit and deck! One thing to note is the drive to the cabin is gravel, we have an suv so it wasn’t a problem.

Quick Getaway in Blue Ridge
Due to travel restrictions and conditions in our planned destinations, we had to change our summer travel plans. This location gave us the opportunity for a quick mountain getaway close to home, in a peaceful location, with hiking, fishing and lake swimming nearby. It was a much needed and welcome respite. The cabin was spacious, very comfortable, with enough amenities to pass the time in a quiet mountain retreat. Another family could have easily shared the space. I highly recommend it.
