We have stayed at this property twice. It is located in the laid back area of Ocean Beach only 1 block from the beach and walking distance to all kinds of shops and food. Centrally located so it is quick to wherever you want to go. The accommodations are cute and mostly clean and thoughtfully planned with everything you can think of. Our only complaints are the sofa which is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture we have ever sat on. It is also a sleeper sofa so we tried that and it was even worse. The first time we stayed was was Summer 2022 and it was pretty hot and there was a major fly issue. We planned on grilling with the grill that is provided on the patio but it was so dirty and nasty that we couldn't. We brought it to the hosts attention the first time and this time it was just as dirty. I recommend replacing the grill and sofa for a more pleasant stay. Also not a huge fan of the signs all over the property telling you how to do things, like how to clean the sink and what not to use in the shower, so on and so forth. It's a little weird. The other unnerving thing was that the housekeepers showed up on our second day and had their days confused followed shortly there after by the property owner showing up to let us know she had someone working on the garage. A text or phone call would have been sufficient. Overall pretty good but I think we will stay someplace else next time, a little more comfortable and a little more relaxed.

We don’t live anywhere with a garage so parking was challenging and that the garage is narrow and not exceptionally deep. Our Toyota Tacoma fit with perhaps 2 inches in front and 2 inches behind with the washer and dryer present. If someone had had to use the washer and dryer it would’ve been challenging. The one negative I would say is the noise from the airport. I was not prepared for planes taking off and landing from 6 o’clock in the morning until after 11 o’clock at night. If you’re looking for a place right next to the beach with great amenities and a very comfy bed this is the place for you.

Cute place, very clean, and in a great location. The decor was adorable, and the proximity to the dog beach was convenient. We also really enjoyed having the private outdoor area. Oh yes, and having access to the garage was such a relief because street parking was hard to come by. Thanks for everything!

I booked this stay for my husband's birthday hoping it would be the perfect fit, I searched all around trying to find the best place to stay and I thought I found the place I was looking for. This was my first time ever booking with Vrbo or any site for that matter and I had high hopes, check in process was easy, the house was adorable, and I was so excited for our stay. I did invite a couple people to the house just until we were ready to head out to eat since there were a couple places nearby. But as our guests arrived, the landlord called yelling up a storm over the phone. I tried to explain to her that I didn't realize our friends werent able to be there while we waited for everyone to arrive and that no one else besides my husband and I were staying the night but she completely ignored me and continued to yell, I apologized regardless and said that everyone was leaving. As we were heading out, we heard a knock at the door and it was the landlord! She didn't even give us 5 minutes to vacate before she was at the door yelling at us to leave and just being completely hostile! I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed by this. As my husband was talking to her and apologized as well she continued to call us names and yell at us. We are not children and we completely understood that we had to leave already at this point but she was so out of line for talking to me and my guests this way. I cant believe how everything went down and I am so deeply let down by the fact that my husband's bday was now ruined. This landlord is one of the worst people I've ever come into contact with and I hope and pray she never rents to another couple again. Completely out of line behavior and definitely will never be booking with her or anyone else for that matter, the landlord made it a completely traumatizing stay for the short amount of time that it was.

My best friend and I loved staying at your property! It was clean, well- maintained and delightful. We loved the decorating and realized me could function in a much smaller place just fine! This was giving me ideas for my own home. We loved being able to watch the sunset every night at the beach just 2 blocks away. It was spectacular every night! My husband and I took a last minute weekend trip to San Diego. This place was so cute. It was perfect for us and our 2 little frenchies. It’s so close to the beach. My favorite part was the private deck off of our living room. We had a great time, thank you for letting us stay.

This was a great property for us to stay at. It is truly just a block away from the beach, and in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the cookware I needed so that we were able to prepare meals at the cottage quite easily, although we were a quick drive/comfortable walk away from some delicious eateries and coffee shops as well. Very clean upon arrival, and everything here is high quality and very well-thought out to the variety of needs guests may want/need. We did use the sleeper sofa and it too was actually comfortable!! Truly a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this cute and vibrant cottage. Everything was clean and it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Definitely starting at 6am - we starting to hear the airplanes pass by. It looks like we were in direct path. There were times it didn't phase us, but other when it was a little louder than usual. Other than that, we really enjoyed it here. Even being in an unfamiliar location, my little fur baby was so comfortable in this space. When walking in the neighborhood, there were so many people walking their dogs. It was nice to be in a dog friendly neighborhood and to have the dog beach a block away. We enjoyed the patio and used the BBQ to grill some lunch and dinner. Great way to enjoy the space for a quick getaway.

Let me start with the property itself. The cottage was just as described and perfect for my husband, our two dogs, and myself. It is very comfortable and really cute - and we loved the fenced-in patio. The location is amazing. One block from the beach and a short walk to the dog beach and the mini-downtown area. There are also many other surrounding areas easily explored by bike (ours are peddle-assist electric bikes). We went to the Point Loma Lighthouse, Balboa Park and Old Town San Diego, all on bikes. It was a perfect getaway and we are already planning when we can return. Thank you!

We stayed at this property last year for our family beach vacation and loved it so much we chose to stay there again. I love ocean beach and the walkability of everything to the cottage. The beach is a short walk away. The host provides everything you need. She is also extremely accommodating to extra requests and is a joy to work with. The place is clean and I absolutely love the decor. It’s a small cottage but with the high ceilings feels much larger. And it still has plenty of space to cook small meals and relax. We are already planning our next trip.

I stayed with my wife and two boys as well as our dog. The property is in a great location close to the dog beach, restaurants, and stores. The property owner was clear with there instructions and everything was clean and easy to find. I would stay there again and recommend for a getaway.

My Mom has terminal cancer and is very ill. This was to be our last vacation together. Overall the stay was decent. It was very tight quarters in the one tiny bathroom that was in the bedroom, so if you had to use the restroom at night, you had to wake the person sleeping in the bedroom to come in to use the bathroom. Every morning at 6 AM the planes started coming over and they are very loud so there was no sleeping thru them. The crowd noise outside is very loud, even at night. On the second day, My Mom was trying to take a nap and all of a sudden some kind of super loud alarm started going off right outside the door and it kept going off for about an hour. No one came to turn it off so we called to let the owner know and she did come to fix it. The beach was too far for my Mom to walk to, and the dog beach allowed dogs to run off leash which may be nice for people who like that. This place would be nice for a couple as it is tight quarters. Also, there is a tiny deck and private area in the front, but no place to let your dog go to the bathroom, so you will have to walk them for them to go. Mom and I only stayed for 2 days out of our 5 that we booked because she was too uncomfortable there and couldn't get any rest due to all of the noise. We did not get the money back for the days we did not stay.

My adult daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. Very cozy and everything you need is provided. Decor is very pleasant and it's very well maintained. Did hear the neighbors (conversations, snoring) but didn't detract for us.

Easy check in and great location. Within walking distance to beach and shopping. Parking garage was small but easily accessible. Bright and cheery and private patio. It was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!! Thank you!
