I rented this property for my extended family of 11 (including myself) in order to celebrate my late wife's birthday and celebrate her life.by spreading her ashes in the surf. We were only one block from the beach and close to the center of town. This house is very large and is WELL EQUIPPED. We woulddn't have asked for a better place. Each bedroom was good sized and we had more than enough beds for oour group. The downstairs was large and spacious. The kitchen had everytjhing your could want. There was a sepearge dining room with a good-sized table plus a breakfast nook that could seat six. There was also a large dining room table in the Great Room that seated all eleven of us. For those staying for a while and needing a place to work, there was a small room off the great groom with a computer desk and a secretary desk. The owners are very nice and accommodating. After unpacking we found that the WiFi system was not working. The woner immediatelly got on-line with Comcast and got us up and running. Can't recommend this place too highly!

This was our second stay at this property and the Shaws once again were very welcoming, organized and accommodating. The house is immaculate, roomy (there were 10 of us) and within walking distance of downtown Cape May and the beach and promenade. Our top pick for future visits to the cape!

This Vrbo accommodation fit our needs perfectly. Our family members’ in attendance included an infant, toddlers between 2 and 4 years old, a teenager and parents and grandparents. We chose Cape May for two reasons: 1) to attend a wedding in nearby Stone Harbor; and 2) because of a enjoyable stay in Cape May two years previously. Lee Ann was extremely gracious and supportive throughout the entire experience. The house itself proved spacious and well-located for a long weekend stay at the Jersey Shore.

A large well-appointed home just one block from the beach. We enjoyed a family getaway with our children and grandchildren. Eleven of us enjoyed plenty of room in this spacious and lovely home. Proximity to the beach and parking for four cars is an added bonus. Don't hesitate to book!!

Our family has had several reunions in Cape May. This is the best house we have ever rented. The location is amazing -- both super close to the beach and the Mall. There is off street parking (in garage and driveway). The kitchen is very well appointed and organized. The owners have labeled all the cabinets so it is easy to find things. The floor plan, with a large kitchen that opens to a large dining and living area, is ideal for large gatherings. The kitchen also has a wine fridge and beverage ice maker -- making happy hour at home a breeze. The house was immaculate. Beds were comfortable. Everything was just perfect. Lee Ann and John made the entire check in and check out process smooth and easy and were very responsive to questions that we had. You can not go wrong renting this place.

This was the best rental we could have ever found. Our house was perfect for our large extended family of 12, ranging in age from 81 to 15 years old. We were just a short walk from the beach, plenty of bedrooms for all, lots of dining areas inside and out, and a super covered front porch where we could sit and relax, listen to the sounds of the ocean and watch those going by. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We would definitely choose to stay here on another family vacation.

The house was fantastic. We had a group of 12 with siblings and grandchildren celebrating my mother’s birthday. The kitchen and large living/dining room were perfect. They were the main draw for our group. We wanted our time there to be about coming together as a family, and this house let us gather comfortably and participate together in one conversation. We all ate breakfast and played games at the large table and relaxed in the open living space.
We loved being only one block from the beach and walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. Having many bikes and numerous beach chairs was convenient for our large group.
Also, both porches served us well with sun or shade, depending on what people wanted. And the bedrooms and bathrooms provided plenty of privacy and space.
Lee Anne could not have been kinder or more welcoming. We really feel fortunate to have chosen her family's home for this special occasion. Memories were made and fun was had. I’m not sure you could ask for anything more!

This house was perfect for our group of 9. Spotless throughout, plenty of comfortable beds, large bathrooms, spacious kitchen and sitting area. The front porch and back deck were awesome places to hang out. Having use of the beach equipment was an added touch, one less thing to schlepp down there. The hosts were great, best I've ever dealt with.

Our extended family regularly meets in Cape May and this is hands down one of the best properties we have stayed at. It is extremely close to the boardwalk and Howard Beach (a block), best bagels in town (Bagel Time), within walking distance to the Washington Street Mall and bikeable distance to all the beaches.
The Shaws have bikes, beach tags and a really nice gas grill available for guests to use.
Best of all, it's a real home, loved by it's owners and now my family; Thank you for sharing it with us!!

Beautiful House
A lovely home, with open living space to gather, yet our children and grandchildren had plenty of privacy. The front porch was a favorite gathering place for us. Every amenity you could imagine! We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Christmastime Beauty
Our second year at this home. 6 couples in our 40’s-50’s; there is plenty of room to spread out, cook, eat, play games, and a short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. Christmastime is our favorite time of year in Cape May. We are looking forward to returning to LeeAnn and John’s home next year for what is becoming a wonderful annual tradition!

This one is a keeper
We just spent a week at this house and wow it’s everything it says it is. Rooms are spacious and clean and have all the comforts of home / beach life available for you. Owners are wonderful as well. We plan to return next year.

We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights at Lee Ann and John's house in Cape May, with our two daughters, niece and two grand-children age 4 and 7. Everyone was delighted. The well furnished, impeccably clean, large house has a well equipped kitchen, beach tags for all, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas, even a beach cart (very useful, as it turned out!), and garage and driveway for 4 cars. The location was great too, one block from the beach, and close to shopping areas. All in all, a wonderful stay, and we plan to be back next year!

We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights at Lee Ann and John's house in Cape May, with our two daughters, niece and two grand-children age 4 and 7. Everyone was delighted. The well furnished, impeccably clean, large house has a well equipped kitchen, beach tags for all, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas, even a beach cart (very useful, as it turned out!), and garage and driveway for 4 cars. The location was great too, one block from the beach, and close to shopping areas. All in all, a wonderful stay, and we plan to be back next year!

We had a great stay at this property with its convenient location to the beach and ample space for all of our guests. The hosts were easily accessible via text. There was a fully stocked kitchen, beach tags, beach accessories and seven bicycles. We would definitely stay again.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms modern and welcoming after a day of walking, beach activities or kayaking! Two air conditioning units kept the humidity at bay and allowed multiple zone adjustment so that everyone was comfortable. The kitchen is enormous, well stocked with everything anyone could need. Similarly the fridge is immense and accommodated all our food needs. The extra ice maker was a plus and allowed us to keep our beach cooler chilled while we played in the sun. The kitchen table was perfect...allowed all of us to eat together and is very updated and fresh. There is an immense dining room with another table to seat at least 10 and an alcove bench table as well. We used the dining room as a game sight and to assemble a large puzzle. There are large TV's throughout the house and both the cable and wireless worked great. The study came in handy as one of our sons has medical reports to finish an he had a reasonably quiet place to work. The porch was the winner. In the evening the ocean breezes were cooling and we sat out for hours snacking and talking. There are really two living rooms to facilitate conversations. When the kids wanted to play on their portable XBox, the adults converged on the second living room. In sum, the house was spacious, well equipped, clean and updated. We have stayed in numerous upscale VRBO's and this property certainly rated a 5 STAR eval. We hope to return !

Wonderful house and premier location
My husband I I rented this house for an extended weekend with our four sons ages 19-26 and respective girlfriends. The house was very comfortable and clean, with tons of space and even nicer than the pics. We loved the large kitchen table where we could all gather for meals and games. The living room space was also plentiful. There were extra living/dining spaces we did not even use/need. We could not have asked for a better spot - only a quick walk to a prime beach spot and around the corner from all the shops and restaurants. We loved walking everywhere! A few of us used the bikes to bike to Cape May Point which was also a fun activity. Lee Ann and John are lovely hosts - very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We could all see coming back next year for a repeat :)
