The cottage and the hosts were first rate. Everything was as in the listing, cosy comfortable, clean and convenient to the beach and Riviera Village. We had a few days at the end of a 5 week vacation visiting family in the US. After growing up locally, I moved to Australia 45 years ago and apart from class reunions have spent little time in the area. We could not have wished for a better, quiet, private, cosy cottage. It made sharing my hometown with my husband of 35 years extra special. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Beautiful, quaint cottage near the beach. The host was out of town for most of my stay, but went out of their way to make sure I was able to get checked in without difficulty, I did get to visit with her for a few minutes as I was checking out. Everything was just as described. Perfect for a solo traveler like me, but would also be perfect for a couple. If I have the opportunity to, I will rent again.

Fantastic stay at this cute little place. Everything we needed while visiting family in the area. One and a half blocks from the beach with beach chairs and towels provided. Large closet with lots of storage and hangers. Walking distance to Riviera Village with shops and restaurants. Loved it!

Simple, comfy accommodation in a pleasant quiet neighborhood. Located between the beach and a commercial district that are both easily walkable. We look forward to a return visit.

It is a cozy place to stay. The decor was nice, and really comfortable! Great location! Lynn was real nice and helpful. I would enjoy staying there again when I'm back in town.

The beach cottage is as cute as the pictures show! We loved our stay. This cute couple's retreat is within walking distance of food, shopping, and (best of all) the amazing beach. We'll definitly be back. The surprisingly large closet and bathroom (for the size of the cottage) was great! We watched hummingbirds nectar at the hibiscus as we enjoyed our morning coffee. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a stay at this amazing rental!

The Cottage is exactly as advertised. Quiet and quaint village living. Walk to the beach and Riviera Village in S Redondo Beach with great neighborhoods, people, and restaurants. Close to Manhattan Beach for upscale shopping and dining of that is what you are looking for or a nice evening. Lynn and Morris were responsive and have the cottage set up with everything you need.

My daughter and I wanted a beach getaway and this was the perfect location. So relaxing and cozy. Within walking distance of so much and the cottage is furnished with everything you need. We will definitely stay here again! We loved the breakfast burritos at Phanny’s which is just a block away. We made some great memories to take home with us! The hosts were great.

The property is exactly how it’s advertised. The host are amazing. They were very accommodating and very friendly. Walking to the beach and around the neighborhood was probably the best part about staying here. I would definitely recommend this place. Everything we needed they had. Awesome time.

We highly recommend this lovely cottage! It is very clean and cozy. We enjoyed our daily walks to the ocean and the pier. The owners were very kind and accommodating the cottage was perfect!

Lynn communicated well and was quite helpful. The ADU is clean and cute. Remember, there is no stove, but a toaster oven and microwave. Off street parking right next to your unit makes coming and going convenient. And the neighborhood is great for walking, the location is a short stroll to the beach, and Riviera Village is a convenient walk for morning coffee and pastries at the Little French Bakery and many restaurants and bars, as well as groceries. Was perfect for our week in L.A.

Sometimes traveling isn't always for vacation but to take care of hard things. This trip we were certainly thankful that at day's end we could arrive to our cottage, get warm, have some hot tea or coffee and, for a few hours, leave our worries outside the door. We got out for coffee and/or breakfast in the morning - there are certainly a number of cozy eateries within walking distance. We walked the beach - again, within walking distance. We had all we needed in the kitchenette. We only wish we had the chance to walk to some of the great looking places for dinner. Maybe next time. Can't imagine that there would be any disappointment during your stay here. Leave any stresses in the car as you get out and absorb the comfortable home waiting for you when you open the cottage door. Oh, and the owners, well, they were helpful, responsive, and kind. We'll be back to the area again and hopefully this home-away-from-home will be available. Enjoy your stay!

The cottage is in a great location, one block from the beach with a large selection of dining options, and the Redondo Beach Pier, all within walking distance. The check in process was simple. We drove in from Vegas and new we would be arriving several hours before check in was permitted. Lynn was very accommodating in allowing us to check in before the 2p check in time. The cottage is as advertised. The location is fantastic. The parking is a plus for sure. We enjoyed the cottage for the three days we were in Redondo. The negative about our trip was beyond anyones control. From what we understood the worst storm of the season was about to hit the area on Thursday (the day we were to check out) which was a concern as we wanted to make sure the roads were going to be open, allowing us to return to Vegas (we had commitments on Friday). My wife and I made the decision to depart early, Tuesday afternoon, to beat the storm given the weather forecasts. We are glad we did as we heard that the area was hit with strong winds and rain, While we understand the no refund policy, given the circumstances, we were hoping to have a conversation with Lynn. Before leaving on Tuesday we left a message through the VRBO site and also a phone message; however we have not received a response. We are disappointed that the owner would not show us the courtesy of a response.

My husband and I enjoyed our mini vacation at this absolutely adorable beach cottage! It is not exactly as it appears as advertised, because it is FAR BETTER!!! A quick 10 minute walk to a glorious beach, decorated beautifully, softest sheets I ever slept on and absolutely immaculate. The area is beautiful and only a short ride to "Joes" for a delicious, healthy breakfast!! 10 stars!!!

Super easy and peaceful - in January, I imagine it may be less so in summer, good restaurants, TJ, Vons and shopping at I and Catalina in Riviera village. Microwave, coffee but no stove, lots of food options nearby. Highly recommend.

Loved everything about Cottage by the Sea. My husband and I had lived in the area 37 years ago and this was the first visit back. We couldn't have picked a better place to reconnect with the sea and the area. The hosts are excellent. The location is excellent. Loved that we had our own designated parking place cuz the beach parking can be very difficult to find. Highly recommend this place. Plan to stay there more times in the future.
