We booked this property for the week of the Iceman mountain bike race, as the one we stayed at last year was unavailable. This place completely exceeded our expectations in just about every way. The kitchen/dining/living area was extra spacious. The bedrooms were great, beds were very comfortable. There were 6 of us staying and there was more than enough room for everyone. The location was ideal as it was just a short drive to the bike race finish area at Timber Ridge. We liked being close enough to shopping & dining without being in the center of town. Plus the views over the lake are spectacular, lots of fall colors as the leaves still haven't all fallen. The local contact Bob & his wife were both extremely friendly and helpful. They live next door and he stopped by shortly after we arrived to introduce himself and check to see if there was anything we needed. Later that evening when a sudden snowfall came through the area, he stopped by to offer to store our bikes overnight in his garage to protect them from the elements. That's over and above :) That also brings up the only regret we had about the place; that it didn't have a secure storage area that we could keep the bikes out of the weather. But overall that was a minor concern as conditions were fine for the remainder of the week. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay and would certainly love to return. We would also like to come back in the warmer months some time to enjoy more of the lake life.

This property was very warm and inviting! We had 6 people staying, but it could very comfortably house 8 adults. I loved this section of spider lake because it was quiet, but you could easily boat to a larger section of the lake as well. Our host Tim was very helpful and responded quickly. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I loved the little touches like the lit pathway down to the water and the beach bonfire area where we sat under the stars and enjoyed conversation. It was close to Traverse City but without the hustle and bustle of being in town. What a perfect getaway!

We are repeat renters for this house, for good reason! Really appreciate lake access being on one of the calm, no-wake areas of the lake. All needs are anticipated with the house’s furnishings. Owner responds promptly and also has a friendly local contact next door to help out.

Great property, clean home. Will definitely stay here again.
