VERY GOOD LOCATION

It was clean. Well stocked with basic utensils, some coffee, tea and sugar but did not have any milk to start off with to allow visitor to then go get some after the first cuppa on arrival.

The outdoor lights were weird , it came on like in the middle of the night. it was controlled automatically so we could not turn on the lights to bbq in the evening. we bbq in the dark with a bit of light coming thru the living/dining area .

The location was terrific

everything was good but a couple of noisy neighbours

Heated plunge pool was tepid, cobwebs in corner of kitchen, no sugar, 1 selection of tea

The single bed was not comfortable

Pool heating wasn’t working at all. The owner did try and fix but it didn’t work.

Great location, very comfortable and clean, cute and quirky design. Excellent service - It was particularly cold during my stay and an extra blanket was dropped off on a Sunday evening. highly recommend!

Excellent Location right near the beach and away from the business of the main hub of Port Douglas. Plunge pool was perfect to relax in after lunch after beach mornings. Unit was well equipped with cooking items.

Had everything we needed, loved the plunge pool. Bed was comfy. Short walk to the beach. It was great value for what we paid.

No toilet door, cob webs, mosquitos and one louvre was replaced with corflute.

Cleanliness: Mostly Clean. Dip pool was a tad dirty. Location: Good. On south end of beach. The south end of the beach is not patrolled so can't safely swim like the north end near town. It is far from town so need to drive for good options. A local bar and cafe is in walking distance at the end of the street but limited menu options (town is much better).

Bedrooms: None. This is a studio with no privacy for the bed areas or the bathroom (no doors). The ad clearly states this is a 2 bedroom and in the Q&A on the booking.com posting there is a question about rooms, the response is that it is 2 bedrooms (which it is not). There is a double bed and single bed in arcaves. Comfort: Very Poor. The double bed is unbearable and needs a new mattress (very old soft foam). Poor quality scratchy bed sheets. The single bed was firmer, however did not have sheets on arrival and requires additional cost. When we asked for sheets, the response was that it cant be done until the following night and requires advanced notice. Facilities: Subpar. No block out curtains which is a problem when the neighbours had their bright lights on the whole night. Concrete couch with thin pillows on top. Two seats and table outdoors which is nice. Neighbours have privacy screens on both sides of outdoor area. Customer service: Very Poor. We checked out early and did not stay the second night forfeiting money. A request for a refund was not met, which is understandable considering the cancellation policy. Sadly the response was surprisingly unprofessional stating "we do not grant credits to people who don't get their way". It's unclear what "way" the owner was referring to. We merely provided feedback and requested, not demanded, a refund. This response is to provide a realistic expectation for future guests. If you're okay with the distance and subpar facilities, go for it. Otherwise, stay in town. So many Mantra options. We stayed at the Mantra in the Village for the second night and had a pleasant stay.

awesome location, just a short walk to the beach, had this cool Mediterranean feel, great value for money, very quiet, nice having the basics for cooking in the kitchen eg oil, salt n pepper and the other stuff.

couldn’t get the induction cook too to work a few instructions near by would be handy for that. and we had a three day stay and 1 toilet roll supplyed.

Had a washing machine on the premises and provided washing powder. Facilities were fantastic.

The only suggestion I could give, is to have a dryer.

Unique layout with lots of space and an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Exactly as described and more beautiful than the photos. Well appointed and 100 metres from the beach.
