Great location, lots of space, and friendly owner.
The previous times we visited, a few household things were't working, but we had fun. This last visit, the carpet areas were dirty, bathroom floor in lake bedroom wasn't clean, and bedroom next to garage smelled of cigarette smoke.
The love seat recliner is broken on the left side, and the king size bed caves in on the side next to the door. It's a great place, just needs some updated furniture and a deep cleaning.

Used to come to this area on vacation during summer breaks with my family when i was a kid. This was one of my favorite stays ever. If Mike would have us back again in the future, we'll definitely be back. We all loved everything about this stay. Thank you!

The perfect lake stay. The boat ramp and boat lift on site made for a super easy boating experience. The house is decorated in a relaxed style which is very user friendly. You can tell the owners have enjoyed their many years here and want you to sample their place. Dock for the kids to swim off of and also fish. The river is very clean and you can even see down into it three or four feet. I can not say enough about Indiana Beach's amusement park. It's like a step back in time to the old school parks. You can even take your boat from the property down to the park and dock there. I wanted to schedule next summers stay but they were pretty much all booked up. We will be staying here summer 2025. The host was wonderful, very communicative and willing to help when needed. And the property itself has a lot of great amenities but really needs a DEEP cleaning and better maintenence. We knew going into it that the house wasn't up to date with the latest fixtures and decor, that wasn't a problem. But we were expecting it to at least be clean and everything to be in working order. The oven wouldn't get up to temp, the ice/water dispenser in the fridge didn't work half the time and when you open the freezer, ice chips would rain out all over the kitchen floor, the outdoor gas grill didn't work well (but host did come over and fix it so that was nice), the indoor theater didn't work at first (but host did also come fix this), and one of the reclining couches was broken. Regarding cleanliness, there was a ton of icky crums in between the cusions of the seats in the theater room that one of our toddlers discovered, the bottom outside of refrigerator looked like it was growing fuzzy mold, and there's a bad ant problem, not to mention dust and cobwebs throughout. That all said, the bedding and towels were all clean and fresh and the bathrooms were clean as well. It's like all the basic cleaning is tended to but very much lacks regular deep cleaning. Nothing was so bad that we had to leave and we did enjoy our time but it was disappointing. I feel a little bad saying all this because the host really was very nice but it's just my honest review and I have to say we won't be back.

This is our second time at this home. Our kids love the lake and had a great time. The owner is very communicative and helpful. The outdoor theater and bonfires are the best.

We brought way too much, not knowing what might be available on site. Everything we might have needed was there already! Fully equipped kitchen, linens, towels, compressor for inflatables, etc. Could have left half the truck at home and been fine. Vintagey lakehouse vibe combined with modern conveniences; very fun. Easy drive to Indiana Beach and groceries makes lazy days lounging in the water off the dock and watching the kids swim, simple. All round good experience for everyone. Already planning next year!

This property is exactly as advertised. We have stayed here twice now. The dock is a great spot to swim and fish. The kids loved the outdoor projector. We love that Mike supplies firewood. A lot less to pack and pay for. Plenty of sleeping for large parties. Mike is very friendly and accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay and will be back!

This was our 2nd stay for my wife, adult kids, grandkids and I. Great place with plenty of room inside and out for a large group without the feeling of being right on top of each other. My whole family enjoyed the stay, we would defintly rent again!

Enjoyable relaxing getaway. The house had everything we needed for our 3 day 4 night stay. We definitely overpacked. We had 12 of us and had plenty of room for everyone. Our host, Mike was readily available for all of our questions. This was a much needed and wonderful family getaway.

Well this is the Midwest and it was spring during my trip so some storms knocked out our power for 24 hours, but we still nanaged to make it work. There is no generator so we were without heat as well. We did use the grill which the owner, Mike was very nice and pulked out and set up for us! He was very prompt about answering calls and texts.

Loved the area and the added bonus of the boat ramp! House is a little dated but is decorated cute and very clean! The theater room and popcorn machine made a great movie night! The thermostat was a bit tricky but called the home owner and he was very helpful to walk us through the steps. There were 6 of us and the only suggestion we would give is to have another table set up to eat at. The table is a bit small for bigger groups but I will say there is plenty of seating throughout the home otherwise. It was a little chilly so we would love to come back in the warmer months to really enjoy all the outside perks the property has to offer! Had an awesome time for sure!!

Only one complaint the beds could use an update. They are horribly uncomfortable. Everything else was nice clean. Loved all the decor. Plenty of space deck was nice to sit out and relax.

To say that this rental is awesome is an understatement! We knew it would be awesome trip from the first look when we pulled into the property! The house is right on the water and is perfect for fishing (will get back to fishing in a minute). The home has plenty of space if you have a larger crowd but was perfect for us 4. The property has a floating dock where you can tie a boat up to which we used on our first day. The owner has thought of every need to make his guest have such a great time. There is a fire pit outside for campfire and the owner stores wood for usage. The owner also has fire sticks and other things that may be needed for grill and fire pit. Plenty of seating and folding chairs for outside by fire or by water for fishing. Store room is filled with water toys, some old fishing equipment and life jackets for use. The grill works enough to make some awesome food. Felt very safe in the area. The house has an indoor movie theatre which worked great and the outdoor theater was awesome. When I was looking at places to book and saw that this property had an outdoor theatre next to the water, I thought "how cool would it be to have a campfire with s'mores, while watching something on the outdoor theatre, while fishing for a MONSTER fish?". Well that is EXACTLY what happened. We were by the fire watching on the outdoor theatre when around midnight, one of our fishing pools went straight into the lake. Luckily we were able to grab the pole as it was stuck to the floating dock and we ended up catching a true MONSTER catfish. It was 60 pound flathead! Such a cool experience! I would give this more stars if possible. We WILL be back. Big respect to Mike for how he runs his business. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The kitchen had everything you need and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. It is about 10 min from Indiana Beach, so the location is great. We didn't bring a boat, but it would be very easy to do so. The lake was very pretty and the owner was super responsive and helpful!
