This property is in an incredible location. The deck literally looks out over the lake and you can walk right off the back onto the beach. There is not a better location around the lake. The actual house was a bit outdated but very sizable and had some really cool features from the past. Overall if you’re prioritizing proximity to the beach, great views, and appreciate a home with a lot of character, you won’t find a better place. Also, Maria was delightful to communicate with. 10/10 would stay again!

We had a delightful time at the house on Long Beach Drive. It was steps to the sand and the view from the deck was magnificent. The living space was more than adequate for the four of us. I have a few nitpicks that are hardly worth recording. The main one is the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor. They make a sharp turn and can be dangerous for old people like us. My wife and I, both in our 80s, decided to sleep in the enclosed porch like room with the day beds to avoid the stairs. This should be noted in the website write-up. Finally, I must note that Maria was great to work with.

Great location and beautiful views (directly on the beach in Long Beach. IN). Communication from Maria throughout our stay was excellent as we had a few questions ahead of time regarding physical address. She made sure we were informed throughout and was very responsive as questions arose. My family and I loved our time here and would stay again.

Beautiful lake views. Sandy beach. Stunning sunset’s. What else could you ask for. It is a old duplex. Rustic but clean. Very quiet neighborhood. We loved it.

Property was right on Lake Michigan and the beach was really nice and was also close to a number of good restaurants. Property had everything that we needed to have a fun vacation for my family and me. Would be willing to return.

We chose this property because of the beach access and it was large enough for grandparents, parents and grandkids. The three grandkids had a blast with going down to the lake and running and building in the sand. (Ages 4, 5 and 7) Be prepared for stairs. This is a classic older home and not some recently developed resort. If staying mid-summer bring several fans to move the fresh lake air to the front of the house. But the beach…….

The property is a great location--Long Beach, Indiana, about 20 minutes from New Buffalo, MI. Nice grocery and CVS nearby. Lovely view and easy access to a wide Lake Michigan beach. New kitchen and two new-ish bathrooms are nice. Plenty of space to spread out. Here are a few things to know: Three nice-size bedrooms upstairs are comfy. The "fourth" bedroom is a small daybed on what was probably a sleeping porch, and fine for a child or pre-teen. If you have any mobility challenges, know that the stairs from the driveway to the main level are steep, and slippery when wet. Railings help but our elderly relative would not have been able to manage them. Also: bring your own bath towels. The owners ask that you wash their towels (not sheets) if you use them. This is fine, but again if you have mobility issues, the washer/dryer is in the basement (steep stairs). It's a quaint old place (duplex, Sunset side) with charm. Would be even more pleasant with a bit more attention to small details.

Everything about this property was over the top amazing! It is in such a perfect location with beautiful views of Lake Michigan right in your backyard! The host was amazing and very responsive to any and all messages. My family and I will definitely stay here again!

The Beach was absolutely amazing! I would recommend to anyone staying here to bring all of your own towels and linens. The pots and pans are also sub par, so bring your own if you plan on cooking anything.

We have stayed in many houses on the beach and this was by far the best in regards to views and location. As other reviews have said the house could use some updates, but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and in good condition.

This is the perfect beach house! 7 of us slept comfortably in the home. Had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Can’t beat the view! The hosts are very responsive and helped make our stay wonderful!

The beach is really nice by this home! Soft sand and nice views. We took our kids ages 5-7, and they had a blast. The home is equipped nicely with beach toys and beach chairs. Maria was very friendly, responsive, and helpful.

Amazing location right on the water. We stayed with my adult children for the 4th of July and could see fireworks on every direction. Plenty of sleeping room and cozy accommodations. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Able to use the fire pit and kayak. We had the nest time and just an hour from Chicago!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially with it being RIGHT on the beach. Location was awesome. The kids loved being able to run to the shore and skip rocks when they wanted and I loved being able to see them from the house. It would be great to have just a few more cooking utensils/pans stocked. The grill was in pretty rough shape when we opened it to use it. Other than that, we thought it was a great cabin for a visit to the shores.

We loved this house, the location, the layout of the home and property on the beach, Maria is a wonderful person and kept in contact with us when needed. The home is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Tons of beach toys, chairs and water craft to play in the lake. My family had the best time, as did my three dogs, everyone was so relaxed and happy the whole time. We booked a return visit before we left it was so wonderful.

Property location was perfect directly on the beach! The house was quaint, could use a little updating but had good character. It was clean and had all essential needs. Owners were very reachable and easy to work with. Extremely kind and very friendly people.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was right on the beach, so the views and sounds of waves were a nice escape. Clean, older home with lots of character in a beautiful neighborhood on Lake Shore Drive. 1.5 hours from Chicago. Breweries and grocery store nearby.

Short stay but here's the pros & cons from our visit. Excellent communication with property managers. We encountered a few issues but were quickly addressed by them. Pros are steps from Lake MI beach, and great views from enclosed patio with plenty of seating, and decks. Nice, clean, fully equipped kitchen. You can hear the relaxing waves from all of the bedrooms, and beautiful view from back bedroom. In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Grocery store and restaurants nearby. We were glad to find a beachfront property that allowed dogs.Plenty of beach towels, chairs, boats, & toys, etc....The few cons are that the property is advertised as New Buffalo, MI when in fact, it's located in Long Beach, IN which is a 10 minute drive to New Buffalo, MI. The property needs some landscaping updates, and stairs and railing need updated. The property is advertised to have a jetted tub which it does not have on West side. Couch in living room should probably be replaced. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for our much needed beach therapy!

We loved the location! The house is directly on the beach and just a short distance from the Indiana Dunes. The house was comfortable, spacious, and well-stocked. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive. If we stay here again we would likely bring our own sheets or ask the owner for additional sheets as the linens are washed by the previous tenants. My entire family (my spouse, two young kids, and two dogs) enjoyed our stay and would likely rebook here in the future.

Great fully furnished beach house,used grill and fire pit every day. Firewood was provided which was great. All questions were promptly answered by management. Would gladly stay again, perfect quick getaway from Chicago rat race..

Wonderful stay, very peaceful, great view every morning and sunset. House is very comfortable and the area is is spectacular. Hope to return again.

We loved having the beach right outside our door! We had so much fun playing volleyball, taking walks on the beach and watching the sunset on the deck. We had a wonderful vacation and made great memeories!
