The layout is perfect for a large family. Close easy walk to the dock. Nice view of the lake which can be elusive at some homes on DCL. Double appliances in the kitchen was a bonus for us because we ate in for all meals except 2. We did need maintenance a few times and they were very responsive. We appreciated the large dining table that accommodated all of us. As others have noted, the house could use some updates to elevate the space but nothing that negatively impacted our stay.We liked the location as it was close to shopping.

What an amazing place for a large group/family! There is ample space for everyone to have their own place, yet still feel together! Everything about this place is amazing - from the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the pool, the deck, the living areas, game room, we were so impressed! We will definitely consider this property again! It is a wow - from the moment you pull into the drive and walk through the front door! We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a big family vacation spot! It was so quiet and peaceful yet so close to anything we needed/wanted!

The lake view, hot tubs, sauna, and indoor pool were all great amenities. The house was great, very clean and gave good mountain vibes. Perfect for big family getaway or friend group vacation. The host responds very quickly to questions and concerns.

Overall the stay at the American Eagle was a satisfactory experience. The house is large and well laid out to accomodate a large group. Even with colder weather, there were plenty of activities to keep teenagers and adults occupied. The interior of the house was satisfactory however could use some updating. On our only full day of our stay, we were greeted by the pool attendant which serviced the pool. We could not use the pool during this period and were dissapointingly told that we needed to stay out of the pool for 2-3 hours. The pool was a major consideration when choosing a house rental. I believe this service could have waited until after our check out. Another issue was the main fireplace in the great room was missing a pane of glass. The glass screen appeared to be in excess of 25 years old and broken and should be repaired/replaced.
