Die Westcott Bay Oyster Company ist 10 Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt. We stayed at the Oyster Beach House in October, and had a wonderful stay! We sought wheelchair accessibility and child-friendly accommodation and were not disappointed. Each room had its own zone climate control, and the bathrooms had heaters so early morning showers were pleasant. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed, and the place was spotless. We made a couple inquiries with the rental agency and they were super quick to respond. The WiFi supported three adults worth of devices, and the house had a number of books and games for kids and adults alike. Will absolutely aim to stay at Oyster Beach House on our next SJI trip.

This was our third time staying at this gorgeous home. Westcott Bay is gorgeous and peaceful with easy access to Roach Harbor, Friday Harbor and all the other fun things on San Juan Island. We will definitely return again and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy San Juan Island.

We loved our stay at the Oyster Beach House. We were in Roche Harbor for a wedding and this house was the perfect home base. It is very clean and well equipped, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the dock/water access made for some peaceful mornings and relaxing evenings. Even though this is advertised as a two bedroom space, there was a third room with two twin beds (no closet) that was the perfect space for our fifth guest. The location was a 5 minute drive from Roche Harbor and close to a lot of other nearby spots.

The location is great; this is the second time we have stayed at the property. The first time was amazing, so we were eager to stay there again. This time though, was a big disappointment. The house was infested with carpenter ants. There were ants in the kitchen, on the dining table, in the bathrooms, and in the bedrooms. Ants were crawling up our legs, and we had to watch our steps when walking around the house and, on occasion, stepped on a few.To make matters worse, the management company did nothing to help. We notified them of the issue as soon as we arrived, and their only advice was to put out ant baits (which didn't help). We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend on the island. What a big disappointment. We will not be returning.

The Oyster Beach House was great for a San Juan getaway with our out of town friends. It provided a nice setting for a restful time on San Juan Island and the close proximity to Roche Harbor and Duck Soup Restaurant made it convenient to enjoy at our leisure. The main space felt spacious with the high ceiling, the house was clean and tidy and the waterfront location made for great viewing of tide changes and sunsets. My only question would be why so many requirements before checkout ie. loading the dishwasher, starting a load of laundry, stripping the linen off the beds etc. when a cleaning fee is added to the nightly rate of the stay. They don't have these at hotels.

My husband and I took our son, his wife and their two little children for a three day getaway. The house is beautiful and really well equipped. Lots of room for all with a beautiful deck and sweet little beach and a dock to sit out on too. We enjoyed the 1 mile easy and lovely hike at the end of the street that goes along the water and through the forest to English camp! Roche Harbor is close too. Very comfy beds and all the conveniences with a great view of the bay.!

A very well-appointed, spic & span like-new hideaway home. The nearby Roche Harbor Resort came in handy and the oyster farm just down the street was a good find (make a reservation). My only (strong) suggestion would be to add cable or satellite TV.

Wish we could have stayed longer to really settle in and enjoy all the creature comforts provided. Note to future travelers: Verizon service is spotty on the island (even for calls), so please note all the very detailed, pre-travel email communications from the management company. Nice kitchen and bathrooms- everything very clean.Beautiful wood flooring/windows. We felt for the price of this rental the beds and bedding need an update (polyester sheets on King bed and twin bed uncomfortable for an adult, queen bed had noisy headboard) Furnishings are on the bland and brown side, without much personality- if you care about this kind of thing. It was cloudy when we were there- but that's the NW. Kids enjoyed the trails and we got oysters from Westcott Oysters. Trip to the very touristy Friday Harbor farmer's market on Saturday was nice. I would recommend this place if there are new mattresses and sheets.

It would be helpful to have instructions for working the air conditioning system. We did not need it and and it kept kicking on every 20 min. We could not get the signal to come on to the TV even following the directions provided.
The house is beautiful as is the view. The kitchen has everything you could need in it. The only suggestion I might have would be to rearrange some things in the kitchen so there would be an empty cupboard for grocery items you purchase.
The description of the property can make one think the master bath is en-suite. It is across the hall from the master bedroom and you walk past the large glass front door with no curtain.
Overall it is well maintained, clean and nicely furnished. We would consider renting this property again.

One of our most relaxing and comfortable vacations we’ve had. 5 stars all the way around. I’ll also add that going on a whale watching tour was totally worth it. Seeing orcas and humpback whales up close was truly amazing.

Week long getaway to Friday Harbor
Just got back from our week long vacation on San Juan Island and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The property was perfect for our party of 4, including a 5 year old and toddler. They already had a pack and play which was very convenient. It’s located on a quiet street along the westcott bay, and the entire week was very peaceful. The beds were pretty comfortable. The deck was perfect for bbq’s and watching sunsets. Roche harbor is just a short drive away, and getting around the island in general is pretty easy. One of our most relaxing and comfortable vacations we’ve had. 5 stars all the way around. I’ll also add that going on a whale watching tour was totally worth it. Seeing orcas and humpback whales up close was truly amazing.

The view was spectacular and the location was close to parks, etc. We like watching the news but were unable to connect the TV to streaming services. That was our only negative, otherwise everything else was totally satisfactory! Would highly recomment it to anyone.

As others have said, the interior of the house is absolutely lovely, especially the main room. It's like being at a spa. The bedrooms are fine. The master bed is extremely comfortable. The one problem is the guest bed is very uncomfortable. This should be replaced right away. For $350 a night, I expect all guests should be able to sleep, and my friend didn't, because of the uncomfortable, saggy bed.
