The house is beautiful. It could use some updates but the good of the whole house makes up for that. We had 12 in our family and it was so big we didn’t feel cramped. I love, love that every room has its own full bathroom. The pool could use some upgrading but again it was perfect for us. It was equipped with everything we needed except, it should have at least 2 sets of bath towels for each person. I have found thee house that I will stay in again and again. Thank you Tiffany for your Hawaiian hospitality.

Wonderful. All 11 of use had our own space. Not having experienced this type of rental, didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. There were a few items that I found either missing (napkins and inside broom) or in short supply ( paper towels, toilet paper, & dish drying towels) we borrowed from all kitchens to supplement. Also, the small bathroom's shower curtain was dirty and no bathmat. These items seem small, but would have made the experience even better.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of the beach house and with all the amenities provided. The swimming pool was a great asset for all of us, especially the children. The weather was very unusually muggy due to the hurricanes passing near our island. However it was real nice to have this beach house for our large family. Kiri, the manager was excellent in showing me around and explained everything about the house. She quickly responded with a plumber to repair a leaking toilet; glad there were other bathrooms in the house.

The house was perfect for our four families celebrating a milestone birthday. We had the most wonderful stay at this property in Jan 2022. Chiyoshi was so helpful, providing clear arrival instructions, answering texts promptly and just in general was lovely to communicate with. The house is the perfect space for a big family — plenty of room to be together, but also separate spaces for those who prefer quiet time. It's well appointed with kitchen items, basic toiletries, beach chairs and boogie boards. The proximity to the beach is fantastic, and the pool got plenty of use too. Would absolutely stay here again!

Outstanding Hawai`i Beach Vacation Rental
The accommodations, location and management by Chiyoshi for this Hawai`i Life Vacations rental are outstanding making our stay truly memorable. We are residents of Hawaii who are most thankful for having our `ohana (11 family members from afar) come together at this home located within minutes of Kailua beach and town that more than adequately met our needs to Ho`onanea - be "at ease and in peace with pleasures."

Helen's beach house was a great home away from home- with plenty of space for 2 families with two separate living spaces. The best part was the private access to Kailua beach - only one block away. The studio was a converted garage and we didn't use it much ( no A/C, no locking door), but was nice to have the extra space and separate wifi when we were all streaming video calls. Chiyoshi, the property manager, was fantastic and very responsive- as it is an older home that needed a few things during our month stay. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and found Helens beach house, and thank you again for sharing this local spot with us!

Sixth bedroom in separate, non-air-conditioned studio building. Chiyoshi went out of her way to be accommodating. Proximity to beach terrific! Well-stocked kitchens. Miscellaneous unexplained fees totaled over $3000.00.

Family Vacation
All ten of us had a great time! Proximity to the beach was fabulous. House was comfortable. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. House was well-equipped. Appreciated all the amenities...jigsaw puzzles, cookware, etc.
Unfortunately, a leaking pipe resulted in having a plumber come visit. Chiyoshi handled this seamlessly. Will check on compensation for this inconvenience.
House was advertised as being air conditioned, however only the bedrooms had a/c and not all of them worked well. The studio has no a/c.
House was also advertised as having six bedrooms. Unfortunately, bedroom number six is in the studio...a separate building. A bit inconvenient.

We had an excellent stay at Helen's house!! The house is laid out very nicely for a large family of 14. Everyone was able to have their own bathroom and separate space. The two kitchens and one being with ac was a blessing. We were definitely there during a very hot time. A couple of the room air conditioners did have a difficult time keeping up with the heat. It is a very quick walk to the beach and easily accessible for my Mom who uses a walker. The beach was beautiful!! Melodie and Chiyoshi were wonderful to work with:) We would highly recommend and hopefully we will be able to return in the future!! Thanks for making our family vacation so special:)

Fabulous Stay!
Our family of 14, eight adults and six kids, stayed here for 10 days in July. Everything was wonderful! The house itself has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in the main house, and a detached studio apartment with a full kitchen and bath, all which were perfect for our large family. Everything was very well equipped with a plethora of activities and room for everyone. The beach was a 2 minute walk down a paved driveway, through a gate, and a short path to the most beautiful beach in the world! Even in the midst of summer, the beach was very private, without a feeling of being crowded at all. The pool was very large and clean, and our kids spent every waking minute that we weren't at the beach in the pool. It was so easy to watch them because the entire main living area faces the pool. Our family rents VRBO properties often and this was our third large house rental in Hawaii, two on Oahu and one on Maui. This was far and away the very best! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

Great getaway for a large group!!

This house was perfect for our family. We had 13 people, four different families come and stay for a week at this property. It was perfect. The beach that we had direct access too was clean and breathtaking. The kids were able to enjoy both the beach and the pool at the house. The pool wasn't heated but being from Michigan, the kids didn't seem to mind. The two kitchens were great to prepare large lunch/dinner spreads. It was very clean and stocked with anything you would need on vacation (beach and pool toys, beach towels, irons, hair dryers, etc.). The only issue we had was the wifi was not always working which also impacted the tv and when people needed to do some work. After I reported it, they mentioned that they may need to get it fixed as it sounded like a problem that was not new. Thank you for an amazing vacation with long lasting memories.

Helen's Beach House was a great home with plenty of room for 12 people. We loved the pool, the open floor plan, and plentiful number of bathrooms. The beach access is one of the home's best features. While not direct, you do have access though a private gate to one of the best lounging beaches in Hawaii.
