Desert Hills Lodge

Very nice location with perfect views and sunset. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant for dinner. Very nice shower and bed.

Breakfast buffet is very limited for the price range. We were placed in the only one hut that had a communication door to another one which is unacceptable for a lodge that was chosen for the individual huts and privacy. If there is no family to place in cabins 19/20, you should never put a guest that paid the same that the other huts. Very dissapointing.

The most beautiful setting, view, accommodation! Simply stunning, absolutely worth it! Close to everything you want to see and do! Hot air ballooning a must! Just a spectacular spot⛰️staff were lovely!

With the rates you charge GET a proper coffee machine!!!! Nespresso’s in the rooms and a bean to cup machine for the lodge…cappuccino! Wifi was shocking…my grandson was undergoing open heart surgery…

Die Desert Hills Lodge war wohl das schönste Quartier auf unserer Namibia Rundreise. Die Lage und der Ausblick ist genial. Den Sonnenuntergang auf der eigenen Terrasse genießen mit Wahnsinnsausblick auf die Berge.

The accommodation is beautifully located, and both the breakfast and dinner are very good. Festus is the only person that is very service-oriented and friendly.

Unfortunately, the service is very poor, and the staff’s attitude is largely unmotivated, bordering on rude. The above-average price level is absolutely not reflected in the quality of service provided: the room was not clean, the bed sheets had tears and stains, and the towels were dirty. Despite asking three times for the room to be cleaned again and for these issues to be addressed, nothing was done. The staff even smiled dismissively at our final (resigned) complaint. Broken glass by the pool was also reported but remained there throughout the day without being removed. Instead, the employees appeared to spend their time relaxing together in the shade, which reflected their attitude toward their work. Poor treatment of guests, combined with this level of disrespect, is unacceptable—especially considering the prices being charged. Additional areas for improvement: There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, the cushions on the outdoor seating furniture were dirty, and the pool was not clean.
