I travel extensively for work and leasure. I have slept in thousands of hotels and hundreds of short-term rentals in my life. This house is easily among one the better locations I've ever stayed in.
To say it is well-equipped is an understatement. It has every possible utensil and appliance you could want.
The aesthetic and layout is perfect for a mountain retreat.
The attention to detail is the best I've ever seen. Surge protectors at the side of each bed, a spacious gear room/mud room, a guitar (that was already tuned!), a basket full of foam rollers and massage balls. The list goes on and on!
It is on a secluded street and a short walk from the base of Revy.
Kenneth's customer services was exceptional. He takes pride in this house (and it shows), and he is an exceptionally accommodating and responsive host.
I'd recommend this location to all of my friends and family planning to visit Revelstoke.

"The Base" was the perfect place for our group of four 60+ siblings, with our spouses, to have a family getaway. The home has everything you could possibly need for a large group. As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen has virtually every appliance and gadgets you might ever want, and more. Given the fact our weather was a little showery, it was great to have such a nice place to hang out. There's more than enough room for a large group to spread out and have individual space, if wanted. I can't honestly think of anything else they could add to make it better.
Ken was available to answer any questions we may have had, and checked in with us when we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory. All in all it was a great get away.

I have never stayed at a better place. There was every cooking utensil/appliance you could need. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes. The beds were comfortable. The best feature was the heated equipment room and large area to get your gear on. Will definitely stay here again.

9 of us spent 4 nights in this perfect vacation property. We loved everything about the house : very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and relaxing living area. It was fantastic to be able to walk to the ski area. We hope to be come back again, thank you Ken for making our stay relaxing and memorable!

This house was a great location for a group trip. Aside from the ample space and sleeping arrangements, the kitchen is fantastic it comes with about every kitchen tool imaginable and makes cooking meals very easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property.

The Base is a great place for large groups to stay while visiting Revelstoke. The kitchen is wonderful with all the things you need to cook large meals. Ken, the home owner, is exceptionally easy to work with and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. He did a great job accommodating our large group. We will definitely come back again in the future.

Great place with great location. Everything was super clean. Place was well stocked with just about everything. Laundry machine and drier worked well. The heated drying room is great for all your ski/board gear. Hot tub works great.
You can do a 5-10 min hike up a wooded area or hike 10-15 min on the road or drive 2 min to resort.

Kenneth's property exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal. We walked to the resort and skied home every day. The kitchen has everything you need to make a big breakfast before hitting the hill and you can't beat an apres in the hot tub. We'll be staying here next time we're in Revelstoke.

The Base was, as expected, exceptional. Great place to spend time as a family and we really enjoyed the proximity to the hill and the amenities it offered. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Kenneth was excellent at communicating and was very quick to reply to any questions. We really enjoyed our time and we are looking forward to going back.

We found “The Base” to be the ideal house for our preseason avalanche forecasting meetings. The kitchen was by far the best equipped house we’ve stayed in for the past 15 years. There’s lots of parking. The beds were comfortable. The layout, too, was ideal for our gathering. We’ll definitely be back next year again.

Kenneth and his Base is just lovely. We are an extended family of eight including two kiddos. Spacious place with four good sized bedrooms. Would recommend and return over the winter.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great! We had 8 adults stay and it was very comfortable. Very easy check in and check out process, pictures were very accurate, and the host was extremely easy to communicate with.
With the proximity to the ski hill, I'll likely consider renting this out again in the winter!

Summer Get away
We enjoyed our time at the Base. It was very spacious for our group. As many have said the kitchen is huge and fully outfitted. Our kids loved the bunk beds. The lot is huge and was fun for our kids to explore and us to relax in. The hot tub was a nice touch! It was nice and close to the ski hill which had tons of summer activities and of course some awesome downhill biking. The town of Revy and surrounding area is one of our favourite places, if you haven't explored it yet, its worth the trip.
Our host, Kenneth was very communicative which was appreciated. Any problems or questions were quickly addressed.
One note, there is no air conditioning so the place can run pretty hot in the summer time.
We look forward to coming back for a ski trip next time!

Lovely Location and Plenty of Room
We all enjoyed our stay so much we were wishing we could stay longer. The house had everything that we needed from any kitchen utensil imaginable to games, games, games. Beds and bedding were comfie and there was enough space for four adults and four children to operate without feeling like sardines. Thanks so much to our host for providing us with clear directions and instructions. Hopefully one day we will be back!

Great stay
The place was even better than the listing. Really comfortable beds, stocked kitchen incl. quality appliances and warm common space. Hot tub was clean and the backyard atmospheric. We drove to the hill because the snow was too deep and it was easier as the nearby lot is empty in the morning.

I cannot say enough good things about the Base. Ken has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay perfect. From the enormous chef’s kitchen stocked with every appliance you could imagine (homemade icecream was our fave) to the super comfortable bedding & tasteful decorations. The location is excellent just a couple of minutes walk to the ski slopes. We loved the place so much that we hardly wanted to leave so organized a private chef to come cook for us & a masseuse to come & relieve our weary muscles after a day on the slopes. Highly recommend!

Amazing house and great location
Kenneth has spared no expense inside the house. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The outside could use some work but he's actively working on that. Walking distance from the ski resort. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

The house was very roomy and comfortable and had all the amenities one would want during a holiday. We enjoyed the mountain bike trails, hiking, running, and road cycling in the area. We had everything available to us in the house to make it a comfortable stay and a wonderful place to go back to after our adventures in Revelstoke.

Covid cancel, honest & kind host
We had to cancel our trip due to the covid pandemic, everything escalated very fast that week. Kenneth was very understandable from the begining when I initially emailed him that we may have to cancel and was very kind and patient when we did have to cancel due to covid.
Prior to that we though the property was very well priced, accessible, beautiful rooms, and had lots to offer. We were a large group of friends and couples. We hope to rebook with Kenneth for next winter or a summer trip!

What more could you ask for?
This house is well appointed! You would be hard pressed to want something that wasn't supplied. We found the home to be quite comfortable for the 7 of us. Quite walkable to the mountain.

Property has everything you need!
The house was perfect for our group of four adults and three teens: spacious, well stocked and great location near the base of the resort. Kitchen has every appliance you can think of (and every spice too!). The hot tub was much appreciated as well. The owner was easy to communicate with and he made our stay a breeze. Will definitely be back.

Our stay at The Base was fantastic. The home is spacious, the beds are large AND comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with any sort of dish/utensil we needed, and the hot tub was just the thing we needed after a long day of skiing. We really enjoyed having the garage area to keep our skis/gear dry over night. The proximity to the mountain was amazing - if you forgot something, no problem - just a 2 minute drive, or a short walk back. We had a group of 8, so the large common area/living room was the perfect place for us to gather, but the overall space of the house really let us have our own space to get away to. Kenneth (the owner) was great with communication and answered all questions ASAP. This place is a true gem. Would recommend to anyone, and hope to come back someday!

Awesome Property!
We had 6 adults and 4 kids stay at this property. Plenty of space for everyone. All of the kids slept in one room (for better or worse). Really well stocked kitchen, oodles of space for multiple people to be working at the same time. Lots of storage space for our ski gear and clothes. Beds were super comfortable.
With the kids, we ended up driving up to the hill each morning (2 minutes), but if you don’t mind boot packing on the snowy trail or walking on the road, it’s ~10 minute walk to the lifts.
Only complaint (and it’s minor) is that we needed more pantry space. We had to keep most of our dry goods on the counter or in bins on the floor. There are lots of leftover pantry items and condiments in the cupboards and fridge that could probably be cleaned out.

Excellent Find!
This property is more than advertised! The attention to detail is top notch. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could ever need, there is a basket of cozy blankets, hooks and ledges around the hot tub, a huge bbq and just an overall cozy feel to this amazing home.
We would definitley stay here again!
