This is a great location to have a family gathering. The beach access was perfect for us with a baby and two dogs. First day trek was beach walk (AKA shell and dolphin searching) with a crossover to First Flight and back. Just fabulous. Well equipped unit, very clean, and super nice internet. We didn’t use the downstairs gathering area because it was a little chilly but can imagine that as a really cool area to hang out. Maybe this summer…

nice house, but some additional furnature would nice to have. Was tough for all 7 grown-ups to have dinner together in the house and the furniture could be a little more comfortable. We couldn;t all sit in the family room together without 1-2 people opn the floor.

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean, organized and well stocked. Location was perfect for us. We planned on booking again, but someone beat us to it!

My family and I had such a wonderful time at Close Enough. The house was beautiful and only a short walk to the beach and one of our favorite spots, The Bonzer Shack. Stacey was nothing short of incredible, always available and when we had an issue, due to some miserable weather, she was quick to respond and get the situation resolved. 10/10 would recommend Close Enough!

We enjoyed the ‘Close Enough’ vacation rental. We came as a family and had lots of fun in the Outer Banks area. The house was clean and relatively close to the beach access. The decor and amenities were spot on. We were pleasantly surprised to see lots of extras to be used at the beach and around the house. It was a great stay!

Clean, Responsive owners, fantastic location. Walking distance to great restaurants (FDK, Millers, Dare Devil Pizza) The gated area below the house is perfect for dogs & kids, and entertainment in the evenings. House is super stocked with every appliance you could need on vacation (Air Fryer, blender and 2x coffee makers!!). Will book again, no question. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

What a charming home! My family that included elderly parents, had the perfect mini vacation at "Close Enough"! This home is tastefully decorated, equipped with everything ( anything I looked for, I could find), Stacey has thought of everything. Truly is close enough to the beach without a lot of walking to get there! Loved not having to haul linens and beach towels from home, such a plus! Under the house is set up great to entertain an evening thunderstorm, which we would have loved to experience. Lastly, as everyone else has mentioned, Stacey is very responsive! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!!

This beach house was beautifully decorated however there were many issues including a water leak behind the refrigerator and the dishwasher did not work. The owner made excuses and blamed us for issues. The house smelled of mildew, luckily, we found 2 air purifiers in a closet we ran the whole time that helped. The pots and pans were very old, scratched toxic non-stick that wouldn't even lay flat on the stovetop, the mattresses and couch were very uncomfortable, and the front door wasn't framed in and not sure if it even securely locked. We had awful cold rainy weather while we were there and decided to leave early and there was no courtesy given of a refund for the nights we didn't stay. We rent beach places through vrbo a few times a year and based on the cost of this house per night we expected better.

Cute house that was awesome setup for our trip. Close to beach with short walk to the sand. Enclosed under house area was great for hanging out after the beach. Stacey was great and quick to respond to all of our questions.

Overall the property was accurate to the listing. We had an issue with ants in certain cabinets and throughout the kitchen. Mattresses were not comfortable in several rooms. I wouldn't really call any of the bedrooms oceanside, since the view is of another home. You can hear everything in the home, so not great for the baby. Not the best built property. The home was stocked well for kitchen use, sheets, and plenty of towels and beach towels. However, much of the decor was religious preachy which made us feel slightly uncomfortable. Stacey was great to communicate with prior to the trip.

Close Enough is a perfect getaway. The house is beautifully decorated and is steps from the beach. Beach access is close and easy which makes it convenient for taking children and pets. The porch on the back and the the area under the house is gated making it very safe for children and pets. Stacey was very easy to contact and gets back to you very quickly. We would highly recommend this property!

Our family LOVED Close Enough. The house was perfect for our family - just enough space for everyone. The kids loved playing in the fun space under the house, and the quick walk to the beach put us in perfect distance!

It was exactly as the description described it. Shares a beach access with a few homes so it’s just right behind the house over a sand dune. Close to everything you’d want to do. Outdoor shower was a lifesaver with 5 sandy kids! If we’re ever in the area again (drove 19 hours from Iowa) would definitely stay here again!

OBX Getaway
Overall the property was accurate to the listing. We had an issue with ants in certain cabinets and also pipes were leaking underneath the house near the shower from the upstairs. The ceiling fans were dated and noisy when used in bedrooms. Mattresses were not comfortable in several rooms bc you could feel the springs. The home was stocked well for kitchen use, sheets, and plenty of towels and beach towels. Stacey was great to communicate with prior to and during the trip.

Perfect OBX Experience!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Close beach access, dog friendly, and everything you need is within walking distance. The property is super clean with plenty of linens. Checking in and out was so easy. We couldn't ask for a better vacation stay!

We stayed here for our girl cousins reunion. The place was perfect for the 5 of us. Great location for us to eat dinner out at night. We cooked breakfast each morning and all necessary dishes etc were available and in great supply. The back deck was awesome to drink our coffee each morning and cocktails in the evening. We could easily walk the few feet to the path to the water and we could hear the ocean from our back deck. I would recommend this place and location to everyone! The owner was awesome to work with. Sigh up today for your next vacation.

We stayed here for our girl cousins reunion. The place was perfect for the 5 of us. Great location for us to eat dinner out at night. Wonderfully appointed home with a great updated kitchen suitable for two bonafide cooks to prepare amazing meals including fresh caught drum. Comfy beds with plenty of linens and towels and pillows! Short walk over the dune to beautiful beach and a full length porch to enjoy the views and sounds at night from the house. Parking was easy and the set up downstairs was fantastic for our furry guest Amy. It was a perfect, romantic, ideal vacation!

This house was the prefect location for us to explore all of the OBX, and my whole family loved it! We had everything we needed to cook there without having to go out every night! Would stay here again.
