Truly a hidden gem just outside Pafos! Brain & Val are great hosts, after a short introduction to the villa and a nice starterpack with some drinks and food we were ready to enjoy our holiday. There is lots to see and to do in the area, and back at the villa you can really enjoy the peace. Although early March, I did took a swim in the awesome pool, must be really excellent in summer! We can truly recommend this place to everyone that wants to visit Cyprus. Menno & Ilse

It is very many years since we last visited Cyprus and we thoroughly enjoyed our end of summer (UK!) holiday there. The whole experience was all the more enjoyable because of the villa, its facilities, the location and friendly, very welcoming and incredibly helpful hosts, Brian and Val. Having had a late flight Brian waited up for us arriving at the villa at around 1.00 a.m. in the morning and introduced us to the villa and a most welcome pack of wine, beer and some foods ready for our breakfast - including his wonderful marmalade!! They were readily accessible when needed but did not impose on our privacy at all. Following an accident where my specs were broken, Brian cancelled a prior arrangement and took us to a local opticians where a replacement frame could be supplied that very day. We revisited many of the places we had seen years ago and were surprised to see how much Paphos had expanded. However the setting for the villa is beautiful and particularly peaceful being up the hills and looking down onto the coast. There are many places we would love to have had time to visit, including other archaeological sights and the wine routes, and also to get up into the Troodos. So, we would love to have stayed longer and explored the area more. Indeed, we have already booked again for a longer break next year! Looking forward to it already!! We have just returned from the most relaxing and peaceful two weeks that we could have wished for. This villa is certainly what is needed in order to recharge and absorb the best of Cyprus. Having read the reviews before we booked and now experienced it for ourselves, they do not do this place justice. Thank you Brian and Val for being wonderful hosts and providing everything one would need for the perfect holiday. We look forward to our return.

The location of this beautiful villa provides the opportunity for peace and relaxation and is also ideally suited to explore Paphos and surrounding areas. The whole experience from booking through to departure was simple and stress free. With recommendations for car hire, detailed directions to locate the property and Brian there to welcome us in even though we arrived just before midnight. Brian and Val are superb hosts, and the villa is set up with everything you need for a home from home experience. there is a lovely food selection to get you started on the first day and plenty of recommendations of great restaurants in the local area. The swimming pool is a great size and is set in beautiful, well kept gardens. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and would definitely recommend to other holiday makers!

It is always an anxious time when you book break away and hope it will meet your expectations. This booking was even more than I anticipated. From the pre departure communication to the ease of check out Brian and Val made it totally stress free. I could not have asked for a better place to enjoy my break so peaceful and with a great feeling of calm. The directions were spot on and car hire recommendation a terrific bonus. My greatest pleasure was the wonderful pool more than I could have hoped for in a rental. The whole set up is immaculate with comfortable bed well equipped kitchen. The hosts make sure it is all well maintained. I loved the welcome food and wine pack especially after setting off at 5 am I really did not want to go out and shop. Many many thanks. There are such a lot of great things to say, the shaded seating areas the beautifully laid out garden and all the added extras which made this visit so special. Tsada is well situated for access to visit many places, the Taverna in the village a great place for a meal at the end of a long day and a fantastic fruit and veg shop which sells nearly everything you could want. Brian and Val are lovely people, and extremely welcoming, hospitable, and helpful in every way. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The accommodation was like home from home, and well equipped in every way, even down to buying a new bbq for the guests. Large well maintained pool in pretty gardens. We found it helpful to have a car to drive to the beaches and also see some sights. Like the Roman mosaics in Old Paphos. We thoroughly recommend this beautiful place for a holiday.

A lovely villa. Very clean and well equipped. The garden and pool are superb. Brian and Val were very welcoming and helpful. Tsada is only 15 mins from Paphos but being about 600m above sea level it is much cooler - no doubt a good thing in summer, but not in the unusually bad weather that we experienced in early April! We would love to return in the summer months.

The villa was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will certainly be going back next year. The place is quiet so you need to hire a car to get about. The swimming pool at the villa was a lovely size to which I enjoyed using every morning and afternoon after we had been out and about. It is shared with the owners who live above the villa, but they leave you to it. Val and Brian are lovely people who could not have been more helpful and if you needed anything you only had to ask. We have stayed at a few villa's and we can say that this is the best and it was lovely to know that there was somebody around it you needed them, though you didn't really know they were there. This little gem of a villa is like a home from home. Inside it’s very well maintained and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Then there is the outside space. The gardens are amazing and add to the peace and tranquility with little sun traps all around to catch the sun at all times of the day. The pool is large enough for avid swimmers and is perfect for cooling off in the heat of the day. The villa is ideally situated for those wanting access to the mountains or those wanting the nightlife of Paphos. Brian and Val are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be returning and thoroughly recommend it to other couples.

My wife and I loved our stay. Brian and Val could not have been more helpful or accommodating, both in advance of our trip and while we were there. The villa itself is wonderful, tucked away on a hill in splendid gardens with breathtaking views over Paphos. The pool area was also huge, totally private and beautifully maintained. We’ll definitely be booking again!

We have stayed in Val and Brian's lovely villa for a number of years (think it about 10 !) - and have experienced every season. The gardens are beautiful and so well kept. The swimming pool is great too. If you want a peaceful holiday away from the crowds in Paphos this is definitely for you. There are a couple of restaurants in Tsada and a very popular brewery quite near. In fact we walked back to the villa from it on one occasion. Val and Brian are always on hand to tell you places to visit and will sort out any problems you may have. The super king size bed is really comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. We enjoy sitting outside on the patio reading our books, doing sudoku or just looking at the lovely views down the valley. We have busy lives in the UK so it is so lovely to relax for a change!!!

We had a very relaxing 10 days in the villa, the weather was kind and though they were not accustomed to visitors at this time of year Brain and Val made us very welcome. Heaters were duly supplied and were required at night but every morning we were able to enjoy breakfast on the terrace. The villa is very well equipped and Brian is on hand to provide help when required. The location is great for enjoying the peace and quiet, relatively easy to find with good instructions and well placed, far enough away from Pafos. We would consider visiting again.

This little house is a delight. Brian and Val have designed it beautifully and equipped it with everything you could possibly need on a holiday in Cyprus. To make it easier for you to use the house and make the best of your temporary home, there is an excellent folder of information and advice, covering every detail. Not only are all the tools, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and cleaning materials there, but over forty reference books, leaflets, brochures and even current newspapers, magazines, in English were placed ready, enabling you to make the best of every minute of your stay. The weather during our October / November stay was really good, with only a few partially rainy days and even if we ha wanted to have a stay-at-home day, there were books, games and DVDs galore available for our enjoyment. The furniture and furnishings aren’t just comfortable, practicable and well made, they are also really attractive and the floor rugs, pictures, paintings and ornaments are high quality, art pieces. There are lamps and occasional tables, mats, coasters and candles to add to the romantic, relaxing ambience,should you need it ! Sleeping, eating, cooking and unwinding are sheer pleasure here. Not only is the house lovely inside, the outside areas have been equally tastefully and cleverly designed. The house has been positioned to take advantage of the superb views across the hills to distant Paphos and the sea beyond. Brian and Val are great gardeners and the range and variety of trees, shrubs and flowering plants is amazing. A feast of colour met our eyes from dawn till dusk. Here and there, extra seats were placed, and tables for eating at in comfort outside. The pool area is particularly attractive, with extra comfortable cushioned deck chairs and f lowering climbing plants around the sheltering walls. Scattered among the shrubs are beautiful mosaics and stone features to please the eye. The wifi was available at any time, with a table and chairs placed ready in the upper garden area, where the signal was clear. It didn’t reach as far as the indoors of the accommodation, but could be used nearby at any time. Cyprus has slightly different waste collection systems from the ones we were accustomed to, but no matter what we needed to find out, we had no problems once we had asked. What a perfect spot! Greeted on arrival by Brian who is a most generous host providing much needed refreshments! This villa is just what we had hoped for, away from the madness. The accommodation is lovely, there is everything you need and a lot of space for the two of us. The gardens and the pool area are just WOW! Many days spent soaking up the sun by the pool in total peace and quiet. Looking back at the photo's I wish I was still there! Brian and Val go out of their way to make sure you have all you need including very good recommendations for local eateries - take their advice it is worth it! All in all, a perfect holiday. This is the place to relax, unwind, read books, drink the local wine and beer and switch off completely. Thank you Brian & Val for welcoming us, you have a beautiful place.

What a lovely, well-equipped "mini-villa"! 1 Afroditis sits in beautiful gardens with a well maintained pool.. Owners are on hand if required and went above and beyond to help us the evening we arrived minus essential medication! The villa has panoramic views across Paphos and its elevation means that the temperature is slightly lower than sea level making nights comfortable and sleeping easier. We walked to the local taverna, The Fountain of Gerolakkas - freshly prepared local food, excellent value and friendly, welcoming staff. Take a break here for rest, relaxation and a taste of rural Cyprus.

This was our third visit to Brian and Val's villa; that in itself says a lot!! I'm not sure that I can come up with enough superlatives to do it justice. On arrival there was a gorgeous bottle of chilled rosé waiting for us and enough foodstuffs to ensure that we didn't have to go rushing off to the supermarket. *Note... Brian really does make exceedingly good jam (now there's a good catch phrase!) The villa has everything we could ask for, a real "home from home"; and this year there were a few "updates" including a new mattress for the gigantic bed and a new shower surround. There genuinely is nothing extra that we could ask for. The garden is so absolutely beautiful (and had a lovely new seating area). The pool is beyond the expectations of a villa this size... its BIG! New parasols around the pool area were a lovely additional to diffuse the bright, hot Cypriot sunshine and make those cold drinks stay cooler a little longer ;) Yet again car hire was easily arranged with Andy Philips (a good recommendation from Brian & Val) and we even borrowed a jeep for the day to explore the Akamas Peninsula. Steve and I made it our aim to relax as much as possible during our holiday... and this little villa with its stunning gardens, immense pool... a few cold drinks and a few hands of card games... made that aim an easy pleasure your accomplish. Looking forward to visiting for the fourth time in 2018. Alex & Steve x

We stayed for 10 days at Brian and Val's villa and oh my goodness... We would move there right now if we could. The place is fantastic, we felt at home immediately. It is the perfect size for a couple, and has everything you need. The bed was very, very comfortable and huge! The place is also very clean. Brian and Val live in another (separate) villa, just above ours. They pop around when needed, or to look after the garden and are not intrusive at all. Although both villas share the same swimming pool, they left it to us 100%. They invited us to their place for a few drinks, and it was lovely to get to know them. Listen to the places they suggest you to go to, they are worth it! The villa is in a very quiet place and about 15 min from Paphos by car. Renting is definitely the best thing to do to visit the island and get around easily. There are some food stores within 10 min drive. There is no wifi in the villa. If you need some, you need to get closer to Brian and Val's villa to pick it up. It did not bother us as we were quite happy cutting off from the real world. You get free roaming data in EU now, but the network at the villa itself is quite weak as they are a bit high in altitude. The garden is simply beautiful, even just staying by the pool was perfect. Go there and give yourself some fantastic holiday memories, we will again as soon as we can. Thank you for having us!! Mahéva and Paul xx

Es war eine herrliche Woche in Val's und Brian's Gästehaus: die Lage perfekt, um den Westen der Insel zu erkunden, das Haus und das gesamte Grundstück so geschmackvoll gestaltet, dass wir uns täglich aufs Heimkommen freuten. Es war heiß - aber geschickt verteilte Sitzecken im liebevoll angelegten Garten lassen stets einen schattigen Platz finden , und der große, sehr gepflegte Pool macht auch die größte Septemberhitze erträglich. Nicht zuletzt ein Lob für die perfekt eingerichtete Küche, die nicht nur zum Teebereiten gedacht ist, sondern auch richtiges Kochen ermöglicht. Danke, Val und Brian, für eine wunderschöne Woche!

We arrived middle of the afternoon using the directions supplied which were very easy and accurate. We were absolutely delighted with this beautiful villa ,the inside is lovely and clean with all the mod cons you could wish for . tv with satellite channels ,DVD player with plenty of dvds to watch,stereo again with cds to play It was obvious the Brian &Val are trying very hard to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and on that note they are succeeding in spades. We settled in and enjoyed a very nice bottle of red kindly supplied as part of the welcome package ,Brian & Val came and introduced themselves and told us all we needed to know about the villa and the local shops ect , The gardens are full of colours and smells from well planted beds and boarders ,again immaculately cared for .next stop the pool wow ,for a small villa to have such a fantastic pool both in size and how clean it is kept is a huge plus ,plenty of seating areas in both sunny and shaded parts of the garden,sun loungers and plenty of sun umbrellas to use if needed around the pool side . I cannot express enough the attention to detail Brian & Val put into this villa,all this said my wife and I had such a relaxing time we have already booked a return trip back ,all I can say is read all the reviews ,they all say the same thing great villa , great time ,great holiday Chris & Hazel Grimes

We keep returning to this retreat since 2012, just had our 5th stay there, and are already looking forward to our next! The owners keep the house in good shape constantly renewing furniture and installations and lovingly caring for the spacious garden. The highlight is the huge pool - the cleanest we have ever seen. Val and Brian are wonderful hosts who will provide you with tipps for restaurants, trips and shopping, and who will make you feel at home. Thanks for many wonderful holidays! David and Patrick
