The view to the ocean was lovely.

The state of the apartment upon entering was simply not habitable or acceptable, and a complete was of hard earned money. The Serain Residences apartment had strong cigarette smoke odour in all rooms and it was difficult to stay in the apartment without the balcony door open. The carpets had multiple stains, the walls and floor tiles were scratched and cracked and I have photo evidence to prove it. An obvious lack of care for the customer. The bathroom still had pubic hair from previous occupants. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through Serain Residences - who basically ignored us, Booking.com advised that the issues had been raised with Serain Residences and there nothing Booking.com could do, suggesting I write a review. Post holiday, I took the issue to NSW Fair Trading (Serain is based in Sydney) and Serain did not respond to them either. To continue my family holiday I needed to pay for alternative accommodation (not with Booking.com). I lost close to $2000 from choosing Serain and Booking.com. I would recommend booking holiday accommodation directly with a hotel as a scenario such as described would be unlikely and ability for recourse greater dealing directly.

This room isn't a 1 bedroom apartment. It's a bed and kitchen in the same room and only suitable for 2 people max. No lounge facilities and no room for lounge facilities. If you want to relax you have to lie on the bed.

the busy reception area and the amount of people cramming into lift with no consideration of covid or flu generally we had 6 people in a lift and 4 more still insisted on getting in.

Amazing location with gorgeous beach views . The rooftop area was just exceptional we loved relaxing up there with a drink enjoying the view. Room was lovely & clean & met our expectations. Checked out the gym & communal are & were very impressed by the facilities.

Only 2 things that we were slightly disappointed with & they were no early check in or late check out. 3 pm check in was a bit too late to be able to really enjoy the property. The mattress on the bed was very hard & we both woke up with sore backs.

Good location

Was not clean. The sofa bed should not be advertised as a bed, it is impossible to sleep on, even a child's weight has the springs digging in. Really shocking. This was very disappointing as two of us had to sleep on the couch which was not comfortable and resulted in a terrible few nights.

This apartment had all the amenities perfect for my mother and I especially for a long stay of 2 weeks. I slept on the pull out sofa and my mother in the bedroom. This apartment had a view of both the ocean and the surrounding suburb of Surfers Paradise North. I like it because it is situated on the side of the building not directly towards the sea and so had a view of both the river-channel, the highway, pool below, the beach and ocean.

Some features in the apartment such as no rack in the shower for toiletries (shampoos and soap) and door hinge being loose and unstable need to be addressed. The dryer did not have a knob/dial so we had to keep checking the dryer to see if our clothes dried. We were thankful for the cutlery, but the quality of the cutlery mainly butter knife, tablespoon, and teaspoon, is about a 5/10. I have higher quality cutlery at home.

The location is ideal for beach lovers as there was a patrolled beach just 100m away. The rooms were quite tidy and the view from the ocean view apartments was very good. The rooftop terrace was a lovely location especially at sunrise or sunset. Very convenient to the tram station.

The pool is quite small so can become crowded quite easily. The rooms where a little small. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, you could feel all the springs through the top of the mattress. Not a lot of restaurant or cafe options within very close walking distance.

Location was great, right next to beach, tram away from cavil ave or a 5 min drive and the facilities of the resort were really nice

Not sure if the place has underground parking which is weird, to my knowledge there was only street parking, which could be a problem if you stay longer than a weekend however we got lucky on arrival and got a spot at end of the couldersack, and only had to park in front of beach outside of street once. Reception also has Sunbum products for sale which are 10/10 and so convenient if u forget something.
