This is a nice house with plenty of space for family. It was relaxing being on the beach.

A great weekend to celebrate our daughter’s dual engagements. Perfect for our group of 5 couples and their dogs. Plenty of room, great views and clean. Things were just as described. We will go back.

This is a very nice house, and it was very clean and well cared for, at the end of the street in a quiet neighborhood. We liked the openness of the layout of the house, not only on each floor, but between floors. There are expansive windows on each floor with great views out over the ocean. We made all our meals during our stay and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. It is beachfront property with just a short walk across the back "yard" to get to the beach.
We had a very pleasant stay here with our extended family.

Nice spacious home with plenty of bathrooms. Great views.

We couldn't be happier with the location of the house. (But, Google Maps took us to the condos next to the house.) Just a few steps and we were on the beach. The babies put their feet in the sand and the older kids rode the waves on their body boards. Caught some nice sea perch while surf fishing, too! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, except for overhead light. Evidently, the fluorescent bulbs over the sink need to be replaced. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean and I was pleasantly surprised to not find any evidence of sand or dog hair on the floor! All the wood in the house is lovely and all the rooms fit our family well!

I'd give this property a 95% (A-).
The location is prime! quick walk to the beach, kitchen full of everything you need, and tons of games/puzzles/books. They also had sand toys for the beach :) The hot tub was perfection.
so why a minus? Mostly due to two issues- barely connected internet -which isn't a huge deal, but we also had no cell service, so having the WIFI cut out every few minutes was a small downer. The second issue- watch your little ones & pets upstairs - the railing posts are NOT to code- a small kid or dog could go right through, no problem.
There were a few small cosmetic damages *that I sent to the contact number, so hopefully we don't get charged. There were a few windows that had no coverings (what a eyeful for beach combers =P) but all-in-all, a great spot that we would definitely revisit!

The beach is the star, as well as the view. The home needs some upkeep: microwave broke, lights out, fans not working. Our family loves this location!

Wonderful time. Our only concern was the amount of items that were not working or broken…. IE, the disposal, lights in the kitchen, slow drains, TV did not work etc. For the amount of money spent, all of that should have been in top shape and they were not…

We had an amazing weekend here celebrating and spending time with the friends. The location is amazing 10/10 and made the whole trip worth it. The house had lots of character and space with a killer view. The decks ware awesome. Hot tub was hot and very fun.
The major issues are the cleanliness of the home. We had to spend over an hour cleaning before my other friends got there because we were embarrassed how the house looked. No one vacuumed and the floors were totally gross with crumbs and gunk everywhere There was thick layers of dust literally everywhere. I had to wipe down baseboards that were caked with dust, surfaces with greasy hand prints and crumbs etc. I fully understand this is a pet friendly beach house and don’t expect perfect or anywhere near it but we’ve stayed in many vacs houses and this was shocking. The house has an unpleasant “must” odor as well.
They also have a bad sugar ant problem in the kitchen that we’re clawing all over when I first got there and throughout the weekend attempting to get into our food. Was just gross.
While this house did have lots of plates, small appliances etc, that were so helpful, we were left with only one paper towel roll and no spare toilet paper rolls (to our knowledge) so we had to go buy more.
Again, for the price you pay and the amount of people this home sleeps, that’s not cool.
Again, we absolutely loved our time here and all had a blast. But they seriously need to work on the cleanliness of this home, especially when charging that kind of cleaning fee.

Beautiful view, nice large house, excellent location.
3.0
Very beautiful home and location!
Let’s start with the positives:
The home is beautiful and for large groups it works great! The woodwork is beautiful in the house. There is a nice private access trail to the beach. The neighborhood is a quiet private neighborhood. If you have pets it’s definitely an ideal place to stay with a large group. You can tell that this place is loved and maybe we just came in after a bad group of occupants and there was not time to clean it properly.
The negatives:
I will preface this with it was July 5th so we understand it was a busy day for cleaning.
When we got into the house it smelled of very strong urine. The living room area rug was soaked with fresh urine in one corner. We found multiple sites of fresh urine in the bedroom downstairs. The downstairs laundry room bathroom shower was dirty with rocks and sand as if someone washed their dog in it and it hadn’t been cleaned between occupants. The dryer had damp towels in it that smelled like urine. The hot tub was murky and not enough water to run the jets. We weren’t able to use it.
We contacted VRBO and VaCasa and we’re told that we would be contacted by local management and someone would come service the hot tub. We even talked to an area manager but have yet heard back of an outcome or had a call back. We are pretty disappointed and understood it was a pet friendly house but frankly it was a little gross. Besides the urine there were a lot of other issues too.

Great location with perfect beach access. Plenty of room for 10 of us. Kitchen very well appointed. Vacasa was responsive to issues we had but the local team they kept saying they were contacting was non existent. Dishwasher leaked and there was a note saying it would be fixed in a couple days—never appeared or responded. Kitchen lights burned out and fan remote was in need of batteries. Never responded.

Not bad. Good location. Neighbors didnt like us to much but over all good place.

The view and beach access was great! The beds were very comfortable. Customer service was very helpful.

We loved the close proximity to the beach, and the views are great from the house. The home was very clean and quite comfortable, although a few kitchen items were lacking - ex: no coffee bean grinder (as advertised), or oven mitts/hot pads, etc. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the covered hot tub was lovely. We had a great week with our family.

We had the pleasure of staying at Sapphire Horizon between March 2 - 6, 2023. It is a large, well-appointed beach home with plenty of tables and chairs and some alcoves if you wanted to get away. The kitchen had plenty pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. There were some spices in the kitchen cupboard. Each bathroom had antibacterial soap as well as 2 sets of hotel sized Dove shampoo, cream rinse, and bath soap. There was extra toilet paper in the cupboards below each bathroom sink. There were lots of towels in each bathroom as well as a laundry room complete with laundry soap.
My brother brought his dog. There were dog toys, beds, and towels to clean the dogs off.
We did not use the hot tub because I am a cancer patient and must be careful about what I come in contact with. The hot tub was on the deck with a direct ocean view and I’m sure would be lovely to sit in.
We were lucky enough to have two storms come through while we were there. We love to watch storms on the beach in the winter and the huge waves come in.
Black Beard Pub is a short drive (or walk) from the house.
We plan on coming back next year.

Our second stay in this incredible house with panoramic views, great shared space, and comfy beds. Wish we could leave another stellar review but the furnishings and cleanliness dropped far downhill in 3 years. From stained and weary linens to dirty kitchen cabinets and appliances, this sweet home needs some TLC.
It’s a great house with solid shared space, a terrific table that seats 10, and a game/puzzle upstairs with amazing views. Please take better care of it. We’d love to return.

This home was amazing with the layout, decks, hot tub, and just steps to the beach. Exactly what you are looking for if you want to see and hear the ocean from almost everywhere in the house.

The house and location were lovely. Plenty of space and kitchen equipment. Hot tub was in a perfect location and super clean. The biggest drawback was the lack of window coverings in the bedrooms, which is tricky when you want to sleep in or have privacy from the neighboring homes and condos.

Views were amazing! Sand dollars galore! Enjoyed a relaxing time.

We love the beach in the Winter. Took Kids and Grandkids and had the beach mostly to our Selfs. We do all our own cooking, and the kitchen had enough pots and pans for our crew. Very Dog Friendly with goo access to the beach.
Take Dishwashing detergent and extra TP with you.

We love this house and have stayed several times. This time was disappointing. Hopefully Vacasa will take care of this better in the future, because we have never been this disappointed with them before

Wonderful home with an amazing view. Everything worked as it should and the house/kitchen was amply supplied.

We stayed 2 nights and 3 days at this location. The house was beautiful right on the water, very big and plenty of room for everybody. However the refrigerator was not working, granted they did warn me about a month in advance. But i assumed a month later it would be working. I called the day of our arrival and was told I would be called back if there was an issue with the fridge. I never received a call back so we went to Costco and bought lots of food for the 9 of us that were staying. We showed up and the fridge was not working!! Instead there were 2 very small mini fridges. We had to go get ice to keep things cold that did not fit in the fridge.
There were also lots of other small issues. No garbage bags, no cleaning supplies, the main TV did not work (not a huge deal but with small kids nice to put a movie on at night). No condiments or anything of that sort. We had to purchase lots of additional items that would normally be in a vacation rental kitchen.
One other thing- we found a pair of men's underwear under one of the beds and it absolutely did not belong to any of our guests!
It really is a beautiful house but with the money Vacasa is making with a fully booked calendar- they could easily purchase a new fridge and add the necessities that are missing.

We needed a place for four families, 11 adults total and a pet to come together to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. The Ocean is a favorite place our family loves to visit and this house fit the bill with enough bedrooms/bathrooms and living space for us to be very comfortable. The Ocean view was second to none, with beach access being incredibly close, literally 150 feet away. Anticipating poor weather in October, we wanted a living room to be big enough to seat all of us. We lucked out with the weather after all, but enjoyed a couple evenings with everyone being able to gather around the fire place. The weekend was a success and we will consider future trips utilizing this great house. Thank you.

We had a way overdue family reunion in this lovely home. It was the best family gathering we have had in many years. House was lovely and very well equipped. We'll be back!
5.0
We loved this house, it's location on the beach, the ease of accessing the beach. It was so comfortable with lots of room to spread out. It even had a big dog bed and dog bowls. The beds were very comfortable. They had an abundance of towels, beach towels and bed linens. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. It also had games & puzzles that we enjoyed and books too. Our only complaint was the lack of window coverings. The downstairs master had just sheer covering over the patio doors. Upstairs rooms either didn't have any curtains or they had cheap blinds that weren't really operable. Considering the quality of the house construction I was surprised that the window coverings were so shoddy. Many of us needed a dark room to sleep. The only other complaint would be that a beach house should have a grill. I brought my Ninja Foodie grill with me so we could at lease grill burgers. We loved the house despite these issues. We wanted to rent it again next summer but the price more than doubled so we had to pass on it.
5.0
This is such a beautiful home with amazing ocean views only steps from the beach. Our family enjoyed building huge sand castles, sunsets from the hot tub, the sound of waves through the patio doors at night, morning keurig coffee on the deck, eating together at the large dining table, playing hide and seek, the abundance of sand dollars and smooth rocks, plenty of towels, minimum requirements for check out, and sightseeing at the nearby village of Westport (despite the fishy aroma).
There were a few disappointments, however. The most disturbing issue was not being furnished with a BBQ. Also, the mattresses could be replaced soon and it would be nice to have curtains on all the windows. Removing pans from the oven was a challenge without hot pan holders, but we made due with towels. I'm not trying to complain, but it seems the extra fees are a bit over the top.
We still rate it a 5 Star and feel blessed to have stayed there. The negatives will be over looked and the delightful memories will linger.

This was our gift to our adult children and their families. Eleven of us and yet there was abundant space. We didn’t even use all of the bedrooms! The beach is literally in the backyard. We enjoyed the hot tub and even managed to fit all of us around the table for dinner.

Four old friends get together. The house was perfect, with plenty of room. Very comfortable for hanging out with a great location right on the beach. We were informed a couple of days before our arrival that the refrigerator wasn't working, but we managed to get by with their mini-fridge and our own coolers. But beware - no wine glasses!!
