Three of us girls wanted a quite few days at the beach, this place was perfect. Location was secluded on the beach, with cayakas, a fire pit and for our stay the full moon. Beds are super comfortable, kitchen had what we needed for preparing a few snacks. The town of Clayton and A bay are a short drive away, with great restaurants. We enjoyed a great breakfast at Jacks diner on the main drag also. Vivian is an outstanding host. Re ommed this property for a quite beach get away.

Vivian is an excellent host. The unit is adorable and very well appointed; and she goes out of her way to help you have a lovely trip. My only suggestion is that the description should let people know that the unit is an apartment above a garage so they are aware that there are steps to climb.

This is a nice little "cottage", well appointed, beautiful lakefront setting, quiet small shoreline neighborhood. All appliances worked well, although we did not have need of the washer/dryer. Vivian is a very good host, and Panda is a very friendly dog. It is only a short 15 minute drive to Cape Vincent, and 30 minutes to Clayton. Regrettably, our stay was during the late Spring, when the lake water level was still high, leaving no beach to walk. But, the road into the property provides a nice mile-long walk right next to the shore line. We would recommend this property for anyone wanting peace and quiet, and lake access for kayaks or a small boat.

From the moment we checked in and up until checkout, our gracious host, Vivian ensured we had all we needed. The no-frills description falls flat for sure… we all raved about the comfortable beds; I’m certain there was no skimping on the mattresses! The kitchen was stocked well with all we needed to prepare meals- breakfast->dinner. Also, kayaking is a must! We all felt welcomed into this space and look forward to returning.

Our family came for a fall weekend getaway. The place is perfect for a small family, and Vivian and Panda are perfect hosts!

The property is so peaceful and beautiful; the sunset views are amazing; the accommodations are very clean, comfortable, efficient and tastefully decorated.

Came up to go fishing. We had plenty of room in yard to park boat. Everyone was very friendly. The house was clean and we had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again

Many thanks to Vivian for her hospitality. Sunsets, views, full moon and a comfortable bed. Little touches were so appreciated. We needed a serrated knife to cut bagels? Done. We Kayaked in the ever changing bay. One day calm and one day windy and wavy. Overall a lovely area and a nice quiet spot for a few days away with our kayaks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved the isolated area, the host was very nice and accommodating, and we had plenty to do with swimming, kayaking, making s’mores, and playing in the outdoor space!

We were relaxing on our vacation. This place gave us plenty of privacy . We did lots of exploring of the area to enjoy local sightseeing and foods.

Vivian was a spectacular host as always. Fire pit and kayaks for our use anytime. Tucked back in a cove to keep the brunt of Ontario's waves to a minimum. Perfect for swimming. No loud neighbors (they're also quite fantastic) Everything needed for a wknd/week stay provided and nice clean rooms/kitchen/bathroom. Highly recommended. See you next year!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Point Peninsula. Vivian was an excellent host. She answered questions quickly. The guest house was clean and just plain charming! We enjoyed the calm and peaceful time on the shores of Lake Ontario. It was a restful time.

I needed 24 hours after our stay to think about what I wanted to say about our stay at Vivian's property to make sure I gave it the proper justice it deserves. This is the first time I have rented a property thru VRBO and I was filled with some trepidation "as you never know if what you see, is what you are going to get". All those fears were immediately put to rest. The property and our host exceeded all our expectations and then some! The rental was impeccably clean & beautifully appointed with the very best of everything a guest could need - thanks to our host who is a retired interior designer. The best linens & towels, A/C for those hot July nights, down to the little snacks and bottles of water thoughtfully left out for midnight junk food cravings. The property boasts a beautiful and expansive shoreline/beach area that is private and clean. It connects to a protected reserve so that in itself was quiet and relaxing. We saw a bald eagle, a family of swans, cormorants, blue herons and ducks who call that area home. A bird lover's dream! The water is easy to access and we were able to easily walk out as the water gradually got deeper, making it safe for all ages and swimming abilities. We even received a courtesy paddleboard lesson from our host's granddaughter! And when the sun was a bit much, there was a nice shady area in which to sit and enjoy the lake breeze and water views. There were other amenities to take advantage of - a firepit, an area for outdoor dining, a gas grill, bicycle and kayaks. But I would remiss in this review if I didn't say the best amenity of all was our hosts - Vivian, Olivia and Panda Poo. All were so accommodating and attentive, making sure every need was being met without being intrusive. Vivian even built us a beautiful evening fire on the beach for our last night's stay and we invited her to join us for good conversation and a cocktail. We left the next morning feeling like we made a new friend. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable resort style vacation because that is what it felt like. If you aren't content to sit and enjoy the water, the property is located between Chaumont and Cape Vincent and is an easy 10 minute drive to both for gas, groceries & shopping and about an 45 minute drive to the 1000 Islands along the St. Lawrence River. We certainly enjoyed our little piece of paradise and our new friends. We look forward to staying with them again!!!

This was the perfect overnight stay to relax and rejuvenate. If you’re looking for some down time in a quiet setting, this is your place. It was so much cuter and well appointed then in the online photos. All needs were there including coffee, shampoo, towels and even kayaks. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

I was so pleased to have rented this wonderful place to stay while visiting family nearby. The setting is gorgeous, the area is very peaceful and has many things to see. The owner keeps the property spotless, with soft beds and linens, a modern fully equipped kitchen, and even soaps and lotions, truly a gem hidden on the edge of the lake.

Vivian is a gracious host with a well appointed, warm and comfortable cottage! We felt right at home and welcomed use of her amenities including the kayaks. If you want a place that is quiet, with a cool bay brew axe and view close to Clayton, Sackett’s Harbor and 1,000 island region we would recommend this oasis!

My wife and I had a lovely stay in this second story apartment by Lake Ontario. The beds were quite comfortable and it was very quiet. There is a lovely view of the lake and we enjoyed the wildlife, especially the turtles! We would definitely come back.

We loved the location as over looks a bay and is next to a preserve.. Vivian, the owner, was so very helpful. The cottage was very clean and well supplied.
