Love the place so clean and friendly staff, there's always someone to help you and you can book tours at the frontdesk as well.
Kitchen is big and terrace has a great view to the lake is also close to the ferry stop if you want to go across.
AC only work at night. Is too close to some of the beds so at night some guests ask the to turn it off and ruins the temperature for everyone else in the room.

- The hostal is in a quiet and tranquil location on the north side of the island, a short walk from cafes, restaurants, corner stores and lanchas across to the other side of the river. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the La Torre Supermarket.
- The reception is staffed 24/7 and the front door is always locked.
- It has a beautiful open air terrace common area with lounges and a pool table that looks out over the water.
- The 4 bed dorm I stayed in is on the smaller side, there’s no where really to put your bag except in the corner of the room - the ensuite too is in the smaller side but manageable.
- The dorms have small lockers at your bedside that are small enough to fit a passport, wallet etc but it would be handy having larger lockers that could atleast fit a laptop.
- Only one spoon in the entire kitchen.

This is a lovely hostel with a breezy terrace that's open all day. The staff are fantastic, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. There's a boat jetty nearby, with boats to the mall for around 15 quetzales and to the village across the lake for just 5–10 quetzales. There, you can visit a fascinating Mayan archaeological site that is still being excavated, easily reached via an excellent canopy walkway. Don't miss this hidden gem!
The air conditioning in the room was rather excessive. A temperature of around 25°C would be much more comfortable and should be kept as the standard.

Good location in Flores, cheap
No room to put stuff away in room which meant the rooms are really untidy with stuff everywhere.
A very unprofessional member of staff who was working at 6am the day I left who was really drunk and slurring his words surrounded by beer bottles. He was also screaming at someone hysterically on the phone which was really scary. Apparently there was an incident where some guests stole beer from the fridge but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did because he was so drunk. I also emailed the manager who didn’t take this seriously so I would feel weary to book this hostel especially for solo female travellers.
