Location was fab. Perfect for our young family and a short stay

Cleanliness. It could have been a bit more fresh. I took it upon myself to spruce up the plant in main room. Was very dry and dull

The location was amazing

The flat was ok. A little grimy around the floors, living room floor needed a good vacuum, mop & polish. There was a broken dining chair, quite dangerous as my partner was about to sit on it, he nearly fell. The bed was very comfortable, but the bedding needed to be ironed or pressed. Outside was very noisy for most of the evening & night with the pub across the road. Overall, it was a very convenient place to be with WMC just across the square & food outlets very nearby.

I booked this apartment at 6pm 30th March, money went from my account. I spent time and energy trying to communicate with the owner re: picking up the key to get in. After almost an hour, finally received a response 6.50pm to say "not available and I need to cancel" I had to spend more time online trying to look for somewhere else. Not happy ! Refund will now take 7-10 days. This is absolutely shocking. What should have been a nice evening in Cardiff, turned out to be extremely stressful and time consuming. Why was the booking even accepted?

The building is a modern apartment block. It is a good location on Cardiff Bay (Mermaid Quay) close to restaurants, pubs, cafes and retail shops.

*Check in time is 3pm. This is not clearly stated in the advert (it says 0.00-0.00). Thus caused us a bit of inconvenience and we had to alter our day. As we had to be at the Rugby at 4.45pm, we decided to check in after the game which meant leaving our bags in the car (which was a bit of a worry). We decided to go back to the apartment at 9.30pm to check in as you need to contact the host in order to gain entry to the keys. We didn’t want to leave it any later as it would disturb the hosts evening. We had intended to drop our bags off in the apartment at 12.30pm when we arrived in Cardiff, but due to the check in being at 3pm we weren’t able to. *TV: It’s a smart tv where can you watch Amazon/Netflix etc - but only if you have your own account. It is does not have a terrestrial aerial. My husband had to ‘mirror image’ from iPlayer on his phone to the TV in order to watch anything. *Bed: We found the bed hard and uncomfortable. The bedding is also synthetic. * The apartment was cold as the heating had been off. It did warm up after we put the heaters on. *Noise: as there’s a pub opposite and other bars etc in the vicinity it can be noisy. But it’s a city so I think it’s reasonable to expect a degree of noise. *Hot Water: The host had sent us a message stating the water was on prior to arrival. However the following morning I went to have a shower and it wasn’t. My husband had to switch the boiler on at the mains. I filled a sink with hot water and had a wash in that, whilst my husband waited for the water to heat up. When you have to check out by 10am it wasn’t really good enough to find out we had no hot water at 8.45am. Wear and Tear: the apartment is showing signs of this, and could do with a bit of TLC and a repaint in the near future.

location was ideal had what we needed around us. jack was very helpful and let us check in early due to arriving well in check in time.

the bed broke in the night while my friend slept, so it must of been on its way out and the host is now trying to blame myself and my friend for purposely breaking it. And having to pay £210 for it be fixed.

Close to all the restaurants, good space, owner very good at responding to text messages (didn’t answer phone when we called though).

Could have been a lot cleaner, kettle didn’t work, couldn’t watch live tv on the television, bathroom wasn’t clean, towels in a carrier bag in the cupboard with lots of other ‘junk’, something unsightly and smelly in a cup in the fridge, window broken.

Jack was super accommodating. We'd been staying in Cardiff the past 2 nights and decided to extend our stay and book somewhere else last minute for an extra night. Great location for the Quay area, and easy to get into town. If we visit Cardiff again, we would stay here as it was excellent value for money.

We had no toilet roll and couldn't find large bath towels, which Jack later explained were put away, but nothing major, especially as we booked so late to stay. We would definitely stay again.
