Our family of four stayed for three days while we toured ONP. The cabin was cozy and well appointed and centrally located for all the hikes and other sites. The lake is gorgeous and the all around setting just beautiful. Owner was very attentive. All around great experience.

We made a trip to Olympic National Park over our daughter’s fall break. It was the perfect location for that visit. The house had everything you would need for your stay. The hosts were super responsive both before and during our stay. The house is on a lovely lake and it’s quiet and serene. I highly recommend it!

Great location on the lake. The property is as advertised in the listing. The owner is very hands-on and makes every attempt to help make your stay comfortable and stress free. The house is well stocked with almost everything you need. If traveling to this area in the future, I would happily book this house again.

The views of this property is breathtaking. The house was well stocked, very clean, and well organized. The store is in the process of being replaced which was the only negative. (The oven).
I highly recommend this rental. Perfect for families.

I rented this place for my family coming in for my wedding and it was so perfect for us….the layout of the top floor allowed for the guys to watch the game in the back while we conversed over food in the kitchen and a beautiful sunroom to eat overlooking the lake.
I also got ready in this house and the pictures are so beautiful with all the wood in the background. The people who own it are great and easy to communicate with. The house is loaded with everything you will need. I will forever remember the memories made here….all the laughs and food and smiles, especially all on the lake in kayaks and enjoying the weather

Beautiful lake front property on Lake Sutherland with phenomenal access to all the wonders of Olympic National Park. The owners exceptionally communicative and really helpful in offering first time visitors guidance to this beautiful area. Well stocked with everything a renter could need. Highly recommend!

We had planned on a day of adventure/hiking, but once we got to the house it was quickly decided that we were spending the next day chillin' at the house. The amenities were perfect. We had everything we needed. Highly recommended and I hope we are able to make it back!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The space is practically laid out for an extended family, and the extra bathrooms were so convenient. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, and swimming dock, kayaks, and paddle boards made our stay that much more enjoyable. There is so much to do in this part of WA State, and this Lake Sutherland property was the perfect jumping off point. Thanks again; we'll be back!

We were so fortunate to stay at this rental on Lake Sutherland for one week. We had a fantastic time. We loved the location for Olympic Pennisula outings. The home is so well stocked and has all the appliances that you would need as well a linens. We especially appreciated all the water equipment, including the various sizes of life jackets.
It's obvious that this is a house of a family who loves it. You are staying in someone's home. It was great to come back after a long day of hiking to sit on the porch and watch the sunset and see the bald eagles.
Activities: Day trip to Victoria, Sol Duc Falls, Cape Flattery, Tidepooling at Salt Creek Park, Marymere Falls and Hoh Rainforest (get there early)
Restaurants (we didn't use the oven): kokopelli port angeles, Granny's (visit the emus outback), and Blackberry Cafe. Note Granny's and Blackberry close early. And the Corner Caboose food truck.
Stores: We hit Costco in Sequim before arriving. There's a food market in Port Angeles and a small market and gas station right outside the community.

It was our first stay in ONP and we wanted to be fully immersed in the park surroundings. The cottage was beyond our expectations! The views from the house are amazing, and the water is so clear and the mountains so high.
The inside of the house is amazing! Casey and Allison have thought of every detail that makes a stay so easy. From a fully ready kitchen to labeling of cabinets it’s easy to navigate making meals or watching movies.
Definitely a property worth renting!

We enjoyed a 4-day weekend celebrating with family at this cozy home with 180-degree views of the lake. We were able to use our own ski boat and jet skis with the convenient boat launch in the Maple Grove neighborhood. We kayaked, fished, jet skied, tubed, and went on an evening boat cruise each night to watch the sunset. The dining room that looks out over the lake was our favorite place to gather for meals, playing cards and just taking in the views.

Somehow this house is even more spectacular in person! Having all of the essentials - spices, plastic wrap and baggies, detergent, paper towels, etc- was much appreciated. The water is clear and the scenery is just stunning. We highly suggest the Hoh Rainforest (get there early), Devils Punchbowl on Lake Crescent, and the Sol Duc Hot Springs. We’ve now visited 6 national parks in Oregon, Washington, and California, and this location is by far our favorite. Thank you, Casey, for sharing your house with us.

This was our third stay in this house and we will definitely return. The house has been nicely updated over the years. It's a perfect location on the lake and in proximity to Port Angeles & Olympic National Park. We had a bit of a hiccup when checking in but everything turned out great.

We had a great stay at the lake cabin on Lake Sutherland. With active teenage boys, there was always something to do... from fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. It was great to wake up to the beautiful quiet and calm lake in the mornings and relax there in the evenings. There is a bald eagle on the lake that will come in and swoop up any fish you catch. I felt like I was in a national geographic special seeing that amazing site right in front of our dock. The location is perfect as a launching point to other Olympic National Park sites and adventures.
We would recommend the whale watching in Port Angeles and we avoided the crowds at Hoh rain forest and did a river float with Hoh River Rafters. We loved the Spruce Railroad trail and West Elwha River trail. We hiked Storm King but it was very difficult and that is coming from two very active adults. Our boys played golf at Peninsula Course in Port Angeles and Cedars Dungeness in Seguim that they highly recommend.
The owners were great to work with and take pride in their house. The attention to detail was great. As frequent VRBO renters, I appreciated that they furnished all the extras. We had toilet paper, paper towels, general spices, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, etc. Coming from out of state, it is difficult to bring all those things and expensive to buy when you are only there a few days.

Loved our stay! The views and the dock were our favorite! Safe feel to the gated community and fully stocked with everything we could need. Four adults and two kids were very comfortable and happy! Speaking of comfortable, we loved the memory foam beds and big jetted tub!

Overall the property was very charming and well stocked. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The housekeeping could be more thorough, as multiple things were found on the floor when we arrived (hairpins, candy, large pieces of white plastic). This host sent A LOT of emails before and during our stay going into great detail about how to keep everthing clean. It was unnecessary, in my opinion, and a sign posted in certain places on the property detailing these requests would be sufficient. The check in process did not go very smoothly for us. Also, the oven in the kitchen looks cool, but does not work well at all! The cooking was very uneven (bottom scorched, top uncooked). The oven door wouldn’t close all the way, and the leather strap that was glued to the oven to help secure the door came unstuck, making it completely unusable. This was disappointing because we had bought groceries with the assumption of a usable oven. Other than that, the beds and bathrooms are very nice, and everything feels cozy. The kayaks and boats were very nice to explore the lake.

This property was so clean, well stocked, and well managed. We received multiple messages from the host so we knew what to expect throughout our stay. The house was stocked with fishing gear and life jackets for all sizes, and kayaks that could be taken out from the private beach. The views were amazing, and the neighborhood was quiet (at least in early spring). It was a close drive to all the national park attractions we were planning. We would definitely come back for another stay!

This cabin is a wonderful place for a family or small group of friends to enjoy a little R&R! We were there in February, and found the cabin to be warm and inviting, with plenty of amenities and things to do. The hosts were wonderful, and we would definitely return!

So many wonderful things to explore, about the house and the grounds. We were pleased with the amenities, how well stocked the home was - we had more than everything we needed. Well thought out in what vacationers would need and enjoy, and much attention to decor details that added the charm and warmth. Would have liked more time.

Took teen daughters and parents to see Olympic national park in early October. We hit the lottery for weather (75 degrees!) and ended up staying at the house most of the day. Kids loved the paddle boards and kayaks. Parents spent most of the day on chairs on the dock. Kept hearing “it’s so beautiful here”. Lots of room to spread out. Kitchen stocked. Thank you for sharing the house with us!

Not only was this a beautiful property right on the lake but the mini thoughtful ways in which the host had labeled cabinets, drawers, light switches, and storage areas made things very easy. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and we had no problems at all during the stay. We’d rent again in a heartbeat!

Lake Sutherland is breathtaking and this house is a gem! It’s conveniently located near 101 so accessing the park is easy. It has pretty much every single thing you’ll need and then some. It’s a great layout for two families, one upstairs, one downstairs. Only oddity which is visible in the pics is the downstairs master bathroom has two open walls to the tub one of which happens to be next to the toilet. While we didn’t make use of the kayaks, they are plentiful. It’s a great house! It was a pleasure staying here.
