Guava berry Hill is exactly as advertised. The view of Cruz Bay is breathtaking both day and night. It was the perfect location for ease of visiting the beaches daily and Cruz Bay.

I think this is the best deal in St. John. Perfect sunset views, easy access to town, and a comfortable, spacious home complete with everything you would need to take to the beach!

Just a wonderful private quite place to call home base for running around the island or kicking back and relaxing in the sun.

House is perfectly situated to wake up to a fantastic view of Cruz Bay. We had coffee and watched to boats in the morning and had drinks while watching boats and harbor activities. It is a quick walk down Mongoose junction and the local stores and restaurants. (The hike back up the hill was not as fast, but was still doable.) Communication and check-in was easy. We were given great references for activities and dining. Arranging grocery delivery before arrival was a bonus that made it really easy to start our vacation. They had many chairs, coolers, and towels available so it was easy to pack up and head to one of the beaches or on a trail hike.

This was our favorite spot by far in Cruz Bay, the property was gorgeous & the management team is top notch. If you’re looking for a place to share with adults or a family this is your spot! We look forward to staying here again!

Jackie was incredibly helpful with our check in and the place was lovely. Wonderful balcony views and great to have things like beach chairs and floats. Definitely recommend having a (small) rental car because climbing the hill in the heat was brutal

Excellent layout and location for our family to explore the beaches and enjoy the views and patio at the end of the day. Enjoyed lots of sunsets!

Awesome experience from start to finish! Jackie was great to work with, arranged taxi at airport for us and met us at ferry - can’t say enough good things about Jackie and her staff. We chose this rental because of its proximity to National Park Visitors Center, which is start of trail to Solomon and Honeymoon beaches. On multiple days, we hiked to beach for early morning swimming/snorkeling. However, I should mention that the hardest part of the hike was up the private road to the house (it is a workout)! Also, the house layout was perfect for 2 couples. We spent 10 days here and really felt at home. We filled the hummingbird feeder and birdbath and then enjoyed watching the birds feeding and splashing. I should also note that for the most part it was fine not having air conditioning, but there was one pretty hot night and while the sunset view is amazing, it means that the afternoon sun can really heat up the house for a few hours so it was important to close shades in late afternoon. Deck is amazing and we spent most of our time at the house hanging out there. Overall, this was a great place to come home to after a busy day exploring STJ!

Safe, convenient process.

First off, the listing does not do this property justice. The villa is in a PERFECT location, just up the hill from the quaint Mongoose Junction, and overlooks the amazing sunsets from your very private deck. The property is spacious, clean, and fully stocked. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our visit by 4 nights! We will be back soon!

We loved the private location of this property. We were close to town, yet felt like we were all on our own. It felt very safe. We enjoyed the views from every room. We would 100% stay here again….and we hope to in the future!

We had an amazing A+ experience staying at this villa. From check-in to check-out, Jackie the property manager was hospitable, accommodating, and kind -- she made us feel right at home! The villa is in a great location, just up the hill from Mongoose Junction, and overlooks a beautiful daily sunset. The property is spacious, clean, includes all amenities you may need during your stay (e.g., cookware, beach gear), and is full of thoughtful little touches throughout. We also loved the little neighborhood cat that would visit us on the balcony. Will definitely be staying here again during our next trip to St. John!

The listing on vrbo doesn't do this property justice. It's large, with two buildings, and a huge patio facing the water between St. John and St. Thomas (which is also the direction the sun sets). We had a great time visiting, and this property was perfect for the 4 of us.

We loved the location up on the hill! Great views and walkability to shops and restaurants in town, which was nice because parking in town was a challenge in the evenings. Having two separate spaces with bathrooms gave us the privacy we needed. The property came with all the little things that made it feel like home, even a visiting cat! Beds and pillows were comfy, and there were plenty of fans to make up for no AC. Jackie was great with explaining where everything is and how to get around. We definitely put bug spray to use, but it was worthwhile to be surrounded by lush greenery and enjoy the flowers and iguanas in the trees. Perfect place for our needs overall!

We really enjoyed our stay at Guavaberry Hill. It's 3 min from downtown Cruz Bay on foot. The location is awesome. The kitchen was user-friendly and met our needs. The guest room with the two twin beds made it that we weren't cramped on top of each other. It has no AC, but the fans do a good job. We would happily stay there again

This Villa was perfect for our family vacation. It was close to Cruz Bay but also far enough up the hill to never know! The sunsets were amazing and the house was comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed. Jackie was great at communicating with us and we appreciated the recommendations given. The house is not air conditioned but I knew from a previous visit that I was ok with that condition. Fans are all you need to keep air moving but we also opened the screen windows and doors for maximum airflow. The local cat, we named Poky (short for poquito) looked almost exactly like our cat from home, was probably around the same age and had a very similar personality. She stayed outside but definitely was used to people unlike many of the feral cats on the island. We rented a vehicle for the entire stay and I wouldn’t recommend any other way unless you are in pretty good shape for walking steep hills and only care to explore nearby areas. We travelled all over the island to snorkel by day and loved being home at Guavaberry Hill for the sunsets! After that we would pop down to town for dinner or ice cream. My husband and I stayed in the guest suite for privacy and let our nearly grown children stay in the main house. Everyone was comfortable with the living arrangements. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect for us. It allowed us to be in a private setting , close to Mongoose Junction and minutes away from the beaches. We did rent a car so it made it very easy to get around. The drive way up to the house is very steep but walkable if you are in good shape. The house is on the older side, so if your looking for luxury and modern amenities this might not be the place for you. You can hear the night life from Cruz Bay from the house but it quieted down by 10pm every night. It is not super loud, it is just noise off in the distance. I would definitely stay in this house again and miss it already!!

Beautiful property and conveniently located by mongoose junction. Maho bay is a 20 minute cab ride. Porch gave you view to beach. I would recommend renting a car as we could not get a cab to come up the steep hill however the hill is walkable.

We loved our stay here. It’s close to everything! Jackie was very helpful and super nice! She even bought us ice, some crackers, cheese, water....to have when we arrived. This place was exactly what we wanted for our vacation there. We definetely recommend this place. Thank you Jackie for everything!!

We had an AMAZING stay at guavaberry hill... It was picture perfect in every way. We loved that the bedrooms were detached and that the porch was massive with amazing views. Could walk to Mongoose Junction in less than 5 mins, Cruz Bay ferry dock in about 8-10. Be mindful it is up a steep hill so having a car was great!! The house had everything we needed except for shampoo and conditioner :) I cannnot wait to stay here again in the future!
