Viajero Santa Marta Hostel

excellent hostel on many factors: - multiple, large common spaces, 2 food/bar areas, excellent rooftop pool - dorms: aircon, large, with spacious pods each w light, outlet, locker; nice bathroom inside dorm - breakfast discount offer at checkin - great choices, plus coffee & cereal/fruit included - meet & greet event is run very well to introduce people to each other Location is quiet but has various food/service outlets nearby, and 10min easy walk to waterside centre (generally not recommended after 7pm)

Hostel intro is pleasant but very weak (no checkin list - depends on the person) - have to enter a lot of info via whatsapp link (if it can scan? the passport, why not prefill the other fields) - no general intro of the good variety of spaces - should mention each level and what is there: up to you to learn about coworking space, various ground level toilets, guest kitchen behind the hostel, clothes lines - no mention of the QR code on walls that has various hostel info Some work on L4 bar area - but no reason why the pool lounge platforms are in a jumble, and need to remove cigarette butts

Needed a comfy place to stay after landing late at night in Santa Marta. I did not realize this hostel was more of a social/party hostel ( my bad on my part ) . Stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and everyone in there was very loud. Not the hostels fault and the price you pay for staying in a shared dorm. Yet the whole hostel was quite noisy until 12am. On a good note, the bed was comfy and AC was heavenly. Granted I only stayed one night, so my experience is solely based off of that.
