We stayed at Hopes Place with family and friends and went to the lake everyday. The house had everything we needed and plenty of place for people to sleep. The views were amazing and the property was really private. We usually rent at Oak shores but we got sick of dealing with rowdy neighbors and so many obstacles for parking our boat and trailer and cars! hopes place is so easy to access and you don’t have to deal with rowdy people. We are staying there again this weekend. Absolutely recommend this place to everyone. The property managers were so great to deal with, and easy to contact!

Lovely house and very roomy for everyone to feel comfortable with 12 people with plenty of beds. Upon arrival, home owner came to check the drinking water tank which was empty and never came back with a new one. The house is on a well system so plan on bringing plenty of water. There is zero water pressure throughout the house and the shower and kitchen sink trickle. It gets worst of 2 or more water sources are running at the same time. Cell service is poor due to the area which is understandable however, the WI-FI provided at the house is not good. When using any of the apps on the TV it is very pixilated and doesn’t load. Y

This was our third visit to Lake Nacimiento in the least six or seven years. We always stay at Hope's Place - it's comfortable, beautifully maintained, and the location is unbeatable. Perched all by itself on a bluff overlooking the dam, it's remarkably private and quiet yet just a five minute drive to either the marina or to the little village where there's an excellent grocery store, a gas station and a lively pizza joint. The marina offers for rent about a dozen brand new and very fancy deck boats (not cheap...). We also highly recommend the "Friends of Fred Wakeboarding School" if you want to do some wakeboarding - also not cheap, but a wonderful experience.

Our family had a great time taking in the views and playing the various games available at the house. We even saw a bald eagle hanging out in a tree on the ridge. On our drives around the area, we also saw a golden eagle, more bald eagles, prarie falcons, tule elk, jackrabbit, and wild boar, so the nature viewing was fantastic. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

Comfortable house with plenty of space for our party of 5, we even used the guest room off the garage. Nice views, fun outdoor games and great patio space. The internet could be better, we all used our hotspots periodically because download speeds were incredibly slow---made it nearly impossible to stream a movie.As for the water pressure in the kitchen---the worst ever. Cleaning up after making a meal was torture. The faucet produces a tiny trickle of water. My recommendation on cooking a meal---don't!

We all enjoyed our stay at Hope's place! The house has everything you need plus so much more. The kids loved the game room and bikes. The views were great and it was so serene. We had a family of deer visit every evening we were there. Lake and store were close by. It was a great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay here - two families totaling 4 adults and 7 kids, aged 4-14. The kitchen has just about every item you could imagine (including an "Evil Villain Lair", ha! = locked supply closet). The hilltop location was fun for the morning mist, sunset and stars! I only wish it had been a warmer month to sit out and stare at the stars longer... The game room part isn't heated, but the kids didn't care. Overall, it met our needs well, and the hosts were super friendly when we contacted them with a question. If we come to stay in this area again, we would definitely check to see if this house was available.

The wifi is not great, so streaming movies on the Roku looks a bit pixelated. They have a DVD player. You can bring your own movies. They also have a small collection.

Loved Hope’s place in the beautiful town of Paso Robles, California! The house was clean and well stocked, more so than I’ve seen in other places we’ve stayed. We loved the solitude and views from the property. Just wanted to mention a few things. We were discouraged from drinking the well water. There was a water dispenser in the kitchen which was convenient, until the large glass jugs ran out. We were given smaller plastic water jugs which needed to be kept on the counter, with the spout over the kitchen sink. The spout was a pain to use and the jugs just kept getting in the way. Making sure there’s a backup supply of the glass jugs would be a plus. Also, the internet wasn’t as reliable as it should be for those needing to conduct business. Not sure if this was do to the remote location or whatever. Maybe something for the owners to look into.

Even with oppressive heat over 100, we had a lovely stay in a cozy, well furnished house. Highlight was watching the glorious stars at night. Phenomenal. Even though the lake is an isolated location, we took nice drives to Paso Robles and Cambria for day trips.

This house was perfect for our group of 6 and two dogs. Lots of space for everyone to hang out and relax, sleeping quarters were great. The house was clean and spotless when we arrived. We were suprised at how well the kitchen was stocked, every tool you need to cook and clean is provided. The outside amenities included corn hole, BBQ grill, and smoker. Lots of space for the dogs to run and play as well. Cant beat the sunset here and viewing the stars at night. Wifi and TV worked as advertised. I would definitely stay here again. Also the house is only a 5 min drive from the grocery store and the lake.
