We loved our stay here. The view is amazing. Navy jets do fly overhead and can be loud at times but were done by 11 pm every night. We actually enjoyed them and felt like we were getting our own personal air show. As someone else mentioned, it is a bit of a climb over the bathtub to shower so keep that in mind if you have any issues. The daughter is living downstairs but we never heard her or saw her. Craig is great and very nice. He's was always working somewhere on the farm so he might not respond instantly but does respond in a timely manner and he is typically around somewhere and willing to accomodate if he can. We hope to get back to Oak Harbor someday and Monkey Hill Farm will be at the top of our list. We loved this place.

We loved this place. It's off the main road and away from the busy areas, but close enough to run out grab food or shop. The scenery is indescribable. The place is just as described in the listing. We would absolutely stay here again if we were back in the area. The host is available if you need something, and communicates well. There is a road in front of the house, but there is also a fenced yard in the front, if you make sure to keep the gate shut your dog cannot get on the road. The Navy jets do fly right over the house. We loved watching them and hearing them. If you are in the area this is a great place to stay.

We had a fun weekend overall, but brought our dogs and it would have been nice to know the property owner was going to be there working the land with his dog, as his dog (while attached to a large branch) ran to our dogs and started attacking them. After that we were not comfortable letting our dogs outside and they were working the land most of the day all weekend. It would have been good to know ahead of time, especially with having to leave a $ dog deposit (which should probably be refunded due to what happened) There also could have been more of a cooking pot/frying pan selection. There wasn’t a pot to make pasta for more than a couple people, so had to make 2 batches, frying pan was small and couldn’t make more than 3 eggs at a time, no pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, just some of the basics that are usually in a rental.
