Beautiful well appointed Vermont ski home. Modern quality amenities, thoughtfully laid out and every corner is decorated with fun Vermont ski vibe. Lots of great storage for ski gear, food pantry, boot trays, stocked with wood for the cozy fireplace. The kids loved the Wii, darts and we all played board games every night! Loads of fresh bath towels, and the kitchen has everything you would need! Great location just 20 minutes to Killington Resort. Easy and positive communication with the owner who recommended some fun places to eat! We loved our stay!

Our stay was awesome- Comments below
. This home is much nicer on the inside than it appears from the road.
. Clean and well appointed though out
. Main negative is we got there @ 3:50 with an arrival time of 4:00. We needed to drive back to a main road with cell signal to let the owner know we couldn’t get in-I thought I didn’t know how to use the lock system but it turns out the system couldn’t be used until 4.
I would definitely rent this property again but be sure you have it in your GPS and for less tech savvy a print out of your map as there is really poor Verizon service until you log into the home’s IT systems which worked really well.
.I had 2 commutations with the owner once we arrived- both were answered promptly

We had a great weekend skiing at Killington and staying at this property, about 20 minutes away. The house was perfect for our group!

Had an Unbelievable time! Check in was smooth, house was spacious for our group (11), 20 min from Killington attractions, kitchen was filled with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

This property exceeded expectations! Our family, siblings and cousins, 10 Adults and 1 child, in total, vacation together every October and wanted somewhere unique this year.
Peter was responsive from the very start, checked in with us during the stay and followed up after. The check in process was simple with instructions and code text to you 48 hours prior.
House-you may or may not have cell service. Some family members did and some did not even when connected to WIFI. This was not a problem for us since we were together and at least one person did have service in event of emergency.
Caution-the general store and market at the bottom of the hill close early (compared to what we are used to) 4-5pm when we were there.
The house is very well supplied with spices, pots/pans, plates, coffee pot, toaster, silverware, etc. Bathrooms have hand soaps and plenty of towels!!! Our great nephew enjoyed a bubble bath in the master bath. Bedrooms have extra blankets.
Family enjoyed the game room in the basement. Some could watch a movie while others played darts.
One reason we selected this location was the fire pit in the back yard as we enjoy being outside, unplugged, talking and laughing around the fire. When the weather was damp we utilized the fireplace in the living room.
Recommend-Wild Fern for pizza and homemade baked goods!
If you are looking for a great place with space, options for all ages and someplace to make memories this is the property for you!
We would definitely return :)
Peter, thanks for everything!

The house is great! Peter is a delight to work with. Unfortunately, this year, during our stay, mud season came early, making the unpaved road , to & from the house, treacherous.

We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day. Our party of 12 (3 families of 4) was very comfortable and never felt crowded or cramped. The kids (aged 4-9) played downstairs most of the time while the adults enjoyed the comfortable space upstairs. Everything was very clean, but the house is starting to show it’s age a little…dings on the walls, hall bathroom fan didn’t work…minor things that didn’t affect our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked and we easily cooked full meals. We would have loved to have plastic/shatterproof cups for the kids. An extra set of silverware would have been nice too-we ran out after every meal. Good thing there’s a dishwasher! The General Store down the road was great, we went there every day for coffee, lunch, snacks, etc. Everything was an easy drive- Killington adventure park and scenic gondola, paddleboarding on Kent Pond, hiking Thundering Brook Falls. We can’t wait to come back again!

One of the best homes we've stayed in when visiting Vermont. The owners where great host and very easy to communicate with throughout the trip. We had about 2 feet of snow hit us on the weekend knocking out power to the town for a few hours. But everything turned out great we started a fire in the fireplace and had a great time! The drive up to the house is very steep so make sure you have chains or really good tires built for snow. Not the All Season factory tires.
The house was perfect! Its too bad we didnt book a longer stay. We will for sure stay again.

The house was very clean and well equipped for a family getaway. The layout was ideal for two families, although an additional bathroom would have been ideal (there are 2 but one in en suite in the Master bedroom so not easily accessible to all).
The game room was great and there was plenty to do. We had a fire in the firepit and enjoyed cooking on the charcoal grill. The only downside to the outdoors was that there were a lot of bees around the deck (could not locate a beehive but seems there must be one nearby).
Very happy with our stay here and would come again. One final note for future guests is to be sure to prepare for your arrival prior to getting there (there is no cell service by the house making the access to email information impossible -- we had to drive to the bottom of the hill twice to get the emailed info for check in -- our fault for not doing in advance !)...

Great weekend getaway!!
My family was looking for somewhere in the woods where we could get away from the city, have a nice campfire, hangout during the day and not have to worry about being right on top of neighbors. This house was perfect for what we were looking for. The house was spacious to fit a lot of people and was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay at this house and getting to see Vermont.

Comfortable clean house
Clean, comfortable, modern house with all the essentials. Nice space for kids to play downstairs and to stay out of adults way. It is not far from Killington/Pico, however since part of the commute is dirt road, it slows things down. Time your travels if you are going to ski school or are a first lift kind of skier.

Great house, neat and clean, well stocked
It was our 8th reunion, first stay at this house. House was everything the ad said. House was in supper condition, very well kept and stocked. Plenty of room for the 12 of us, both sleeping and eating. We are in the process of looking for next years date so we can book again. Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a place near killington. Just be careful of the road if it snows, can be a little slick, but not Peters fault he doesn''t own the road!!!!
Looking forward to next yeat.

Wonderful, spacious, well equipped house
We had a wonderful stay the last week of December 2017. The house looks unassuming when you drive up until you walk in and experience two full levels of living space. It was very spacious and very clean. It still had a new house smell and we enjoyed the new appliances, furniture, bedding and super comfy mattresses. The owners were very helpful and we had no issues with check-in or check-out. The location was perfect for skiing at Killington and Pico, which we tried to do but due to freezing weather we spent lots of time in front of the fire place and in the rec room, as well as cooking home cooked meals.

Exceeded Expectations
We are a frequent renter on VRBO. The property exceeded our expectations in all aspects. it was well stocked, bigger than expected and very nicely decorated. Special attention was paid to every aspect of the house. There are multiple areas to hang out with privacy from a group if you desire. There areNumerous TV's with HD and Netflix available as well as good WIFI. Paul was very responsive and answered questions/concerns quickly. We appreciated not having to shop for soap, bags, etc. Would highly recommend this home for any occasion.

SuperBowl weekend
Our group of 12 recently enjoyed a stay over Super Bowl weekend. The house was clean & appeared well maintained. Accommodations met all needs. Two bathrooms required coordination, though. Thermostats in each BR.
Downstairs game area great for all & worked well to separate young & old.
Multiple TVs perfect to watch the game.
Kitchen had everything you need. And if you forgot something, a classic general store down the road has all, including growlers of locally brewed beer.
The main purpose of our stay was to ski/snowboard Killington. Although the snow didn't exactly cooperate, the house is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes to Ramshead/Snowshed parking.
The homeowners were prompt to reply & a pleasure to deal with.
We would recommend this spot to friends & family & look to return.

Perfect place for a long weekend
Our group of 5 couples couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the long weekend in January. While we attempted to stay a bit closer to the slopes, we realized that the price, quality, and size of this place could not be beat. Absolutely worth the 15 minute drive to Killington Resort. We especially loved the fireplace, sledding hill the backyard, new appliances / upgrades, and game room in the basement. Another great feature was that every room was climate-controlled!! Such a bonus when some people like to sleep extra toasty and others like to be cool. We hope to return again next year - some great memories were made at this house.

Wonderful time with family
In my party of 13 - we had 9
Adults and 4 children there was enough room for everyone plus the game room! That gave the kids something to look forward after being outside all day. The home was decorated beautifully and the beds were very comfortable! Our family get together all members would rent this home again the location to the ski resorts and other activities were not far away. Peter & Carol answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. I look forward visiting Vermont again soon. I hope next time there would be abut more snow.

Brand New Fun House
We spent the new year holiday in this house with a bunch of friends. Lots of room for all of us and the house was brand new and looked great. People really used the dart board, the ping pong/pool table and the Smart TV's. About 15 minutes from Killington made our boys ski trip very easy and we also made a very reasonable trip to Middlebury as well. There are a lot of great hiking areas around the area as well and even if you don't want to drive you can just walk around the area where the house is. We did that one day and had like a 45 minute hike/walk. The owners left you with a great binder with things to do in the area as well as maps and I know my friends and I really saw that as helpful. Looking forward to staying there again!!

Home away from home. Awesome house!
We spent the week with extended family (10) in this great house. Plenty of room. Great for little kids and teens. The weather wasn't cooperating for a ski vacation, but we had so much fun hanging out in the house that no one minded. The kitchen is fully equipped- I was able to cook almost all our meals in the house. I would definitely stay again.
