Not fancy… casual and convenient. Just what you want in a casual family trip by the ocean

Great location! Only thing that I would say needs to be in house description -is that there is a spiral staircase that is not shown in the pictures. This staircase is the only way to get upstairs from the inside of the house. There is an easier staircase, but it is on the outside of the house. Overall, clean older beach house that is perfect for a large group.

Had to make arrangements for the entire family for a college reunion. 20 minutes from The Citadel; 20 minutes to downtown; 5 minutes to great seafood; 1 minute walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Clean, comfortable - this is a classic old school Sullivan's Island beach house many of which are sadly disappearing and being replaced by McMansions. You want classic charm in the shadow of Charleston, this is it.

Great stay! Only surprise is the spiral staircase being the only interior staircase. We got used to it and didnt mind it but this probably should be more clearly explained in the house description. The staircase you cannot use is misleading in the photos.

The property is well maintained in a lovely neighborhood. Nice park & eateries nearby.
Manager is uninformed about kitchen supplies. Ther baking supplies were complete &good quality including mixer. However, I hauled my own because she did not know what was available &had no interest in inquiring. Other supplies need reorganization. Instead of 4 can openers 2 sharp vegetable scrappers would have been more helpful. There were plenty of knives but were uniformally too dull to cut. Most should be discarded. Suggest getting a hand held knife sharpener to help out guests. Some knives were Henkels brand. They sharpen easily. Henkels has an inexpensive sharpener that works well. There were plenty of dishes, pots, etc. Cupboards were labelled to help with replacing clean items. Half the cupboards in kitchen were locked so supplies needed to be stored elsewhere.
My sons are football fanatics and commented on small size of TV in main area. All accessory TVs were small and remotes didnt work. The wifi was good.
The beds were comfortable & selection of pillows allowed everyone to find one that worked for them.
The house is not ocean view. There are large barriers plantings and access to beach is down the road a short walk. Off street parking is good.
There was inadequate soap for washer and diswasher for a family staying 5 days who was expected to run wash and dishwasher before leaving. Bring your own as well as trash bags.

We were in Charleston for our son’s Ring Ceremony at The Citadel. We decided to stay on Sullivan’s Island to be close to the beach & also not to far from The Citadel. The house is conveniently located on Sullivan’s to the restaurant’s & getting on & off the island. The house is an older beach home but very nice & roomy for 12 people. We enjoyed the screened porch for gathering. The only drawback was the iron spiral staircase being the only way to get up to the main floor, However, you can access the 2nd level by using the wide outdoor stairs, which we did to transport luggage to the upstairs. Also, to our knowledge the tv’s in the bedrooms were not accessible to regular channels only Netflix, movies, etc.

The location of this property is amazing (close to the beach), and there are many bedrooms. Unfortunately, during my week long stay, the street in front of this property flooded twice (12" and 16" of standing water, took over 12+ hours to drain) leaving me stranded as I couldn't get our car out. This was front strong rains (not a hurricane or tropical storm). All this standing water in the neighborhood also leaked into a first floor bathroom.

We enjoyed our time at the house on Sullivans. It’s a nice, quiet location. It is technically oceanfront but you are separated from the ocean by wild vegetation. The view of the ocean is VERY limited. You don’t have access to the upper balcony just the two off the second floor.
The house was tidy. We noticed our feet were dirty if we walked barefoot in the house. But beyond that, the beds felt clean and the bathrooms as well. The kitchen is well equipped . Our only piece of constructive criticism would be that over half the cabinets are locked so, we had to store all our “pantry food” on the counters, which is significant when the house is at capacity. It was nice having two fridges and two stoves. We utilized both. It was nice to have all linens on sight and there is a beach cart you can utilize, as well as a few chairs and toys.
Overall, we had a lovely time. Thank you for allowing us to rent!!

Extended family had plenty of room to hang out and enjoy Sullivan’s Island and surrounding areas. Beach is a short walk along a pretty boardwalk lined with greenery and flowers. Small town is about a 1/2 mile walk to restaurants. House had everything we needed and 2 refrigerators which helped with a large group! The screened in porch and deck were perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks! Great stay- thank you!

Extended family had plenty of room to hang out and enjoy Sullivan’s Island and surrounding areas. Beach is a short walk along a pretty boardwalk lined with greenery and flowers. Small town is about a 1/2 mile walk to restaurants. House had everything we needed and 2 refrigerators which helped with a large group! We stayed here with 6 separate parties totaling 10 adults and one baby to celebrate the completion of a rigorous training program. This property was excellent for our stay. We had a very relaxing time here, which was helped by proximity to the beach, the large screened in porch, and spacious open porch, and the open living room with vaulted ceilings. The yard is beautiful and we loved watching the bunnies in the morning. Much more visibly appealing in person than online! There are 3 well-sized bathrooms with full tub/shower and one with a smaller shower. The small extra bedroom downstairs would be better fit for a surprise guest or children rather than planning to use it as an adult's room for the entire week. Linda was easy to communicate with and is currently arranging getting a belonging back to us that we accidentally left behind.

My friends and I planed yearly trips in different locations for the past 15 years. This year we chose Sullivan's Island and could not have been happier. The house is in a great location and fit 9 of us very comfortably. We would visit again.

The house was immaculate and perfect for our group as far as size goes. The location is about a 5-7 minute walk from the beach, it was just lovely. Would definitely book again for our next girls trip to SC!!

We stayed here with our family for my son’s graduation. It was clean, spacious, well stocked with everything you need for the beach and in the kitchen. The property manager is as a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend renting this home!

The house is located perfectly for a short walk to the beach, or into town for food and drinks. The host, Linda, was very accommodating throughout the whole process. My entire group of 8 enjoyed our stay on Sullivan's Island.

We really enjoyed this property. The location was great, in walking distance of the restaurants on Sullivans. The room layout worked very well for us. The spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge, but not a problem. This house is exactly what you expect for a classic beach house.

Our extended family’s annual beach trip to Sullivan’s Island was made even better this year thanks to Linda’s thoughtful details throughout the house and it’s perfect location only 2 houses away from the boardwalk to take our family straight to the beach. I appreciate good mattresses, quality linens, plenty of towels, and an extra clean house and this property has it all! Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, appliances all look & work great, and the 4 bathrooms worked great for our extended family that includes 5 children ages 5 & under. The 2 levels of bedrooms was great for letting kids nap and adults still able to talk and work on the other floor. The screened porch and expansive deck offer plenty of outdoor spaces for meals, morning coffee & evening hangouts after full days on the beach. Linda is a friendly, helpful host who responded quickly to any text if we had questions. The location is perfect for walking or biking to the restaurants on Middle St. and the neighbors on either side and across the street were very quiet and friendly if we saw them outside. We look forward to returning to this house in the future and appreciate Linda’s hospitality as a gracious host!

The refrigerator had a fishy smell to it, and I think perhaps the party before us cooked fish and the smell definitely lingered. Overall the house was pretty dated but the beds were comfortable, the place was pretty clean considering and lots of fresh towels and beach towels. The only area I wish they had cleaned and taken care of a bit more was the screened in porch. The screens were filthy, to the point where it was hard to see out of a couple. There was also a table on the deck but it had no chairs. Which we thought was odd. They did have a wagon with plenty of beach chairs and that was much appreciated. The walk to the beach was fairly easy and the beach was beautiful. We went into Charleston a few times and the drive there was pretty quick and easy. The house is in a good location to experience both downtown and the beach town. We had a really nice time at Linda’s. There was plenty of room for all of us to gather together but also space for everyone to have privacy if they wanted it. Right next to the beach and super comfortable. Would definitely recommend this to anyone especially bigger groups up to around 10.
