Spa Shallum

Best host that I have ever had, everything was perfect. Clean, good location, great host...

I spent three nights at Spa Shallum. It's in such a beautiful peaceful area. The room I had is fairly basic but lovely and comfortable. Lovely big comfortable bed with fabulous drawstring mosquito net. A good shower, and storage space. It is in a fabulous location overlooking the lake and just a few minutes walk to a couple of hotels with restaurants. There are other restaurants within walking distance. There is also a little beach about 10mins walk away. With a good level of fitness and mobility, town is about 30-40mins walk away with access to the Congo Nile Trail. The apartment has a seated area outside with lights so it's possible to sit outside at night and read and have a delicious breakfast in the morning. One of the best things about my experience here is Faustin, a wonderful kind and thoughtful gentleman, who was always on hand and very responsive. As was Becky both before and during my stay there which was wonderful and reassuring. I loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again.

It would have been lovely to have a small kettle and a small fridge in the room. As there is no kettle, Faustin bought me flasks of hot water when I needed it.  The bathroom sink was blocked and it took a while for water to go down.

Frühstück war gut, nur Konfitüre hat gefehlt. Personal sehr nett. Zimmer war sehr geräumig.

Wir hatten einen direkten Seezugang erwartet.Ging aber auch gut über das benachbarte Hotel. Allerdings wurde man dort dauegns aufgefirdert, etwas zu bestellen

Faustin is a great, helpful and friendly manager

We didnt get the room we booked, due to a confusion. Evthing was solved smoothly funally
